Hello,

It's February and I am over goal. I'm going to have to get real serious to get my Feb LT WI in for free :wizard:

You can do it ::yes:: . Free is the best incentive there is along with keeping yourself on track.

I am down 1 pound this week. Not bad considering that this is usually the week I am up. :banana:
 
Joined WW last Saturday! I'm focusing on my small goal first, 5 lbs. for February! Then I will focus on my 10% goal (19 lbs.). Not looking much further than that. One day at a time!!!

Small goals are so much better than long term ones. They are attainable (long term ones are too) but short terms happen quicker and they are motivating. You can do it, you made the 1st important step in joining. Make sure you drink your water. :drinking1

I so agree Tammy. Small goals are key! I need to go back to that too. My DH would tell me to reward myself for every ten lbs that I lost. It really did work. When I hit the 40lb mark I gave myself a BIG reward- I went to the beauty parlor for the first time and had my hair died and highlighted. It really made me feel like a new me. And for my next 40lbs I will do the same. It really was a confidence booster.
Good luck all!! This week is almost over and I am doing better. But the GS's at every entrance to every place you go is a little NUTS. I can resist but my DH can't!!!

Have been running in circles trying to lose weight and it is a never ending battle. :teeth:

Been thinking about CORE and was wondering about your opinions. HATE counting anything.

Have some serious weight to lose and need to get going!!!!!! :banana: :banana:

Thanks for any info......also do you go to meetings or online?

I don't know much about core but hopefully someone can help with some information. I do meetings plus I have the online so that I can use the recipe builder (figuring out points for recipes that aren't WW figured already) plus it has some great information and recipes on there. Good luck!

I, too, do Flex and don't have personal experience with Core. However, there are a number of other members at my meeting who switched from Flex to Core after hitting a plateau and have had great results. They do say the one thing that is hard to remember is that even on Core you can't eat all the core food that you want. You're supposed to stop when you are satisfied. After they got used to figuring out when "satisfied" happened, they really started enjoying the plan.

Me? Because portion control (rather than food choices) has always been my biggest issue, I don't think that core would work well for me. I'm already eating mostly core foods -- just too much of them.

SO . . .if you're already making good food choices, but not losing weight, I think I'd stick with Flex and pay very close attention to portion size. If, on the other hand, food choices are your larger concern, then Core is probably a great option.

That makes a lot of sense, I never thought about it exactly like that but you have a good point. I went back with Flex just because I understood it from going several years ago. I'll have to remember the option if I hit a plateau.

I lost 4.4 pounds this week! This brings January's total to 10.2 pounds. Total weight loss to date 18.2 pounds.
 
I was up .8 lbs. this week.

I am not upset since I expected it - I finally started exercising! :banana: So, I knew that you usually go up a little when you start an exercise program. And I had exercised 5 out of 7 days last week.

My plan is to keep it up, waiting for that big drop to kick in by the end of Feb.!

Keep up the great work, everyone!

Your exercising is great, 5 out of 7, way to go. Keep those positive thoughts and those pounds will be sliding off in no time. Keep it up. :cheer2:

Thanks for the encouragement Tammy!

I also *have* to keep it up since I signed up my couch-potato-butt to do the Minnie 15k at WDW in May! :scared1: (I had to do something drastic to make myself exercise) So, I will be sticking with it purely out of fear, if nothing else! ;)
