Hello everyone.
I have not been to a weigh in since February. I know I have gained about 10 lbs since the holidays. I need help/advice on how to get myself motivated again. I can't seem to stay away from the cookies, cake, chicken fried steak, onion rings, fast food, coca-cola... well, you get the picture.
I should mention that I am under a tremendous amount of stress and I self medicate with fattening food.
I have maintained an exercise regime of at least 3X per week (which is probably why I haven't gained 20 lbs!). I enjoy exercise and haven't had a problem sticking to that.
I am still down about 70 lbs from my starting weight, and I DO NOT WANT TO GO BACK!!!
Do you guys have any advice??? I am really struggling here.
Congratulations on the loss and keeping up with the exercise.
I am back on the horse after gaining back 30 of the 70lbs I lost in 2005/2006. I know it is such a struggle. I am reading the Beck Diet Solution. It is supposed to help re-train your brain to think of food in a different way. I have not done the exercises as well as I should have but it has still helped.
I am back to writing down all my food even on the weekends
I used up all my weekly points this weekend but I didn't fool myself into thinking I hadn't done so bad. I also have written down a list of the reasons I want to lose weight and I read it at least a couple times a day. It is still a daily struggle so my advice is to just keep trying. Change just one behavior at a time if life is too stressful to make a major change right now. I believe it was in this thread someone wrote a quote
Realize the plan doesn't require perfection; it takes persistence-Success story Stacy
I just keep picking myself up and starting again.
Good luck!
I didn't weigh in last week because I was at
I can totally relate...I also have been struggling for way too long. I just can't get my head back in the game so to speak. Every time I've been able to get back on program and lose a few pounds, I lose my motivation. I am currently 5 lbs above my goal weight, 13 lbs from where I feel most comfortable

You guys have a nice day.
I have to stop comparing to what I would lose when I was younger and keep plugging away. If I could average a 1lb a week I would still be at goal this time next year
