WW Weekly Weigh In--- Part 2

hi everyone! sounds like some of us had a good week! i was down 1.7 lbs this week (i fluxed a lot this week, some times getting down 3 lbs!). although, i had to go to a birthday brunch today and did not pay attention to what i was eating. :rolleyes1 oh well. i'll definitely be back on track tomorrow. good thing about eating a lot at the brunch is that i am sooo not hungry still. haha. i'm also going to try to get back to the gym a few times this week. i had a ton to do last week and just couldn't make the time to go.

Hello fellow WW. I have kind of been MIA from the thread for a while. I think I've stayed away since I have been struggling for the last couple of months. I have been on a plateau but finally got under the number I've been holding at. I was down .6 this week. I just got back from grocery shopping and now have my kitchen prepared for a really good week.

:cheer2:to those who are doing well and  to those like me who are having a tough time.

 Hi everyone! I know it has been a while since I've posted, but life sometimes gets in the way. Hope everyone is doing well. :welcome: to anyone who is new and congrats to our losers and :grouphug: to those who are struggling.

I just discovered a yummy little 2 point snack that I wanted to share; you take a keylime Fiber One yogurt and you crumble 1 Snack Wells lemon sandwich cream cookie and mix it up.....tastes like you are eating the keylime pie...crust and all. :)

Congratulations to everyone on your successes! Last week I stayed the same and this week I lost .8. I think after losing 15 pounds, I am reaching a plateau. I will probably have to increase my exercise to help things along, since i would still like to lose 10-15 more pounds.
Have a wonderful week!:)

congrats on your loss this week!

Thanks Rachel and Nancy. Slow and steady is the way, some days that's easier to take than others. I am down .4 this week, after another week within my points and tracking everything. I had a little stomach bug earlier in the week, and ate a lot of toast and sprite one day, and didn't have any milks for a couple days. Even though I'm within my points, I could do better with the healthy guidelines, so I'm going to focus on getting them in this week. I bought some chocolate 2 point bars, but will only have one at night if I've been totally on track, and gotten all my vegies, milks and waters in as a reward.

I think you are onto something here and it's funny, my leader was just talking about this a couple weeks ago. she was telling us about a lifetime member who was trying to get back to goal and even though she was within her points every week she wasn't losing b/c she wasn't following the guidelines. good luck on upping your veggies, milk and water!

1.7 is great! congrats! it's funny how your body can fluctuate that much, but it looks like you are going in the right direction. keep it up!

welcome back. this sounds delicious! I'm definately going to have to try it.

Tomorrow is my WI and I'm not expecting anything good. after such a great loss last week, I expected maintain or gain a little back (which I've consistantly done). but I had a bad day yesterday. :sad2: when I go off track I go off track.... :rotfl: Right after I posted about being glad there was no snow, we ended up getting about 5 inches and i got bored... so I ate. :headache: I have not been able to break this yet but I will. even as I was eating, i knew i wasn't hungry and i didn't need it, but I didn't care. Oh well. it's done and I've done much better today. so I'll see how tomorrow goes then forget about it completely. Nothing I can do to change it now anyway, so there is no sense beating myself up about it.

Hope everyone has a great evening!
Rachel

Excellent! I find that I am better focused if I just weigh in once a week. The daily scale changes would probably make me slide.

Welcome back!

Ok so I weighed myself this morning and after starting WW online on Monday and I have lost 5 pounds so far

Wonderful!

Rachel- I am feeling the same way you are. My week was sketchy and today was a bust. A neighbor brought over lasagna made with, wait for it.....real cheese, sausage, hamburg and regular pasta. I have not had it in almost a year. Well lets just say that I did not insult her cooking :rolleyes1 WI is tomorrow and my DGD just told me she thinks I lost 2 pounds.....:cloud9:, I would love it!

I should hope not... nor would I. :rotfl: gosh that sounds delicious...... I guess the important thing is we no longer do that everyday. If I could have one bad day in a year, that would be awesome. but there aren't leftovers are there?!? I mean, you can mail some to Missouri if you want.... I'll take one for the team  and I'm sure your DGD is absolutely correct. they always are, right?!

:lmao: I kept enough here for my DH dinner tonight. If I kept any more I would have been nibbling all afternoon.....

I think you are right about not having it everyday. I probably am not real WW material, I am not moving down as fast as some of those folks in my group but I generally make very good choices daily.Almost FF, SF foods when I used to go full fat and very rich. My DH was ecstatic though, he eats what we eat and so yesterday was a bit of Heaven in a plate for him :thumbsup2

Howdy all.... frequent lurker here. Just a quick WW question that I can't seem to find the answer to anywhere (including in my somewhat outdated WW literature). I need to find out what my goal weight would be. I thought it was in my week one book(s) but I didn't see it there (unless I am having a blonde moment).

For the record, I am just barely 5'5" with a medium to small frame (ring size 4 1/2). I am almost 45 y/o. I am aiming for a goal weight of 135 pounds and just wondering if I was in the right vicinity. Thank in advance................P

for your height, the healthy range is between 120 and 150. I don't remember seeing anything about frame size as a factor.

You're right about that. It is based strictly on age and height. But I think that frame makes a difference too. I have a friend my height, but her hands and feet and wrists and ankle are much larger than mine. I think that she could easily carry 15 more pounds than me without looking fat. I suppose that is why the range for a goal weight covers 30 pounds. Thanks for the response. Looks like I am right on track......................P

It's interesting you mention the age thing...I have to look for that. I am almost 39, and I know that was the range for my height (I am 5'5") I also think it makes a big difference how toned you are...my trainer weighs in the 150s, at maybe 5'3" yet wears a small in all her workout clothes (usually Nike). I am hoping my weigh in tomorrow will bring me to 150 and I am still a medium and can't imagine switching to a small at 140, my goal weight! A 30 lb range is huge...and for me personally, 120 would be ridiculously thin...my lowest ever was 126 right before my wedding...no way was that sustainable. I think you have to find a weight that makes you comfortable. One of the ladies in my WW meeting weighs about 160...I pegged her at 135 max...you can just never tell on some people!

Good luck with your journey!

I definitely agree with you about being toned making a big difference. I am NOT toned, nor will I probably ever be toned. I will be lucky to achieve... "not-actively-flabby"! I have recently added some yoga to my workout routine and I am hoping that will help with toning. I KNOW I should be doing more weight training, but I truly hate it.

You sound about my size. I weighed 138 when I got married. I was definitely thin enough to be happy (I had lost about 20-ish pounds in the year and a half before I was married)... but not real, real thin. But of course, that was many years and two kids ago. I have set my current goal at 135, which is truly a number I haven't seen since high school! But I don't think that I am being overly ambitious. I still have what feels like a significant "spare tire" around my middle with less than 15 pounds left to get to goal. So I can't imagine that my goal should be any higher. Plus I was a "barely B" cup in high school and college... I am now a solid D, so that is a few pounds that I didn't have before! (Even with a 70 pound weight loss, the girls are still "hanging" around!)

Anyhow, thanks for taking the time to respond...................P

morning everyone! i don't have much time to post but i just wanted to say that i lost 1.6 lbs this week!

i'll be back when i have some more time...

Good morning.
I don't WI until tomorrow, but I'm feeling good about my week. I really only had one meal this week that was way off program. We had dinner Tuesday at Red Robin. I've been craving a real burger, and when my DBil was visiting with his kids, I didn't want to miss an oppurtinity to see them. and I also got my burger fix. I love Red Robin, but those bottomless fries get me everytime.

and my exercise this week has been taking an hour walk on my lunch. I really did not want to do it yesterday, wanted to relax reading a book in my car, but I did the walk instead. And I was glad I did. I would have been down on myself if I had not gone.

hi guys! I have been "missing" for the last 2 weeks. Two weeks ago, I had a gain of .6 and then last week I had a loss of 2 pounds. slowly, but surely I will get to my goal! I don't know if I will make it by Disney, but it will come off! Good luck to everyone this week and welcome to the newbies!!

shucks. you are probably right. And I'm sure you are great WW material. that's the beauty of it. you make it work for you and there is nothing wrong w/ slow and steady.

thanks for coming out of lurkdom! i know someone already answered your question, but I wanted to say i think you are on the right track on frame size making a difference. I also hear you on the "spare tire" even though you are close to your goal - I have a small frame and I'm 144. I too am shooting for 135 as an ultimate goal (i like that it was in the middle of the weight range), and I feel like my belly flab is still there. Anyway, don't stay a stranger and good luck with those last 15 lbs!

congrats to you too!

I would have posted about my WI monday, but I got distracted by reading Twlight.... twice. :rolleyes1 I gained 3.2lbs... which I am not surprised about. I've had several great days (minus today... ::ahem::) so I am back on track. No real plans to eat out this weekend, so as long as I can control the snacking, I should be good to go.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!
Rachel

Good Friday morning!

I am down 1.5lbs:banana: I didn't weigh in last week because I was at Disneyland. I actually made it through my 2 days there and the weekend without gaining. I think that is the first time this year I didn't gain something on the weekend.

My best friend and I bought into the DVC (Disney Vacation Club) while we were at Disneyland. They are opening up at the Grand Californian in November. Part of the incentives were 2 other vacations. Luckily that has spurred my best friend into action. We are planning on taking one of the vacations this fall and there will be a lot of walking. She started exercising and counting calories this week, so hopefully that will really help me also.

I hope everyone has a great weekend!!!:cheer2:

Hello everyone.

I have not been to a weigh in since February. I know I have gained about 10 lbs since the holidays. I need help/advice on how to get myself motivated again. I can't seem to stay away from the cookies, cake, chicken fried steak, onion rings, fast food, coca-cola... well, you get the picture.

I should mention that I am under a tremendous amount of stress and I self medicate with fattening food.

I have maintained an exercise regime of at least 3X per week (which is probably why I haven't gained 20 lbs!). I enjoy exercise and haven't had a problem sticking to that.

I am still down about 70 lbs from my starting weight, and I DO NOT WANT TO GO BACK!!!

Do you guys have any advice??? I am really struggling here.
