Thanks for the quotes. I haven't been to the ww board lately, but I think I'll go and read the success stories. I always find them so inspiring. I love the first quote. That is me, and I won't give up, though I fall off the wagon way too much lately.missed this the first time... thanks! I'm actually going to make some tonight I think.
Went to my first Monday night meeting in a looooong time. Used to go to them with my mom (the first... and second time I tried WW). Seems really weird still to go without her. Anyway, color me surprised and excited...
I'm down 1.8 morenot sure how it happened, since I just weighed in Saturday morning, but I'll take the
when it happens.
I was also taking a look at the WW website today and they have Week 1 of the Rise and Shine Challenge up. I found two quotes on the weekly worksheet that I wanted to share with everyone... I know some others like me are struggling right now and they really seem to strike a chord w/ me...
1) Realize the Plan doesn't require perfection; it takes persistence. ( Success Story Stacey) [~there's a link to her story on the actual worksheet]
2) "The greatest thing you have is the 24 hours you have in front of you. The past is gone, the future is distant. Today you can succeed. Set a goal you can achieve within the next 24 hours." Leader J.P. Sarasota, FL
Anyway, liked the quotes and liked that they were from other members. Hope it helps someone!
Hope everyone is having a good day so far!
Rachel
I won't give up, I won't give up. I'm sure maintainance is tough, and that's why ww is so great to have as much support as you lose the weight and continue the support as you are maintaining and living life at your new size.:
I wish I could say that it gets easier, but in a sense it doesn't. Even after 6 years I still have issues with food, but I am more knowledgable and smart in what I do. I do know that I never want to weigh over 200# again and I am committed to being a healthier me. So keep plugging away Kathy, remember what you have learned and just try making the best choices you can. The nice weather sure is a bonus, good for you for enjoying the day.

That's so funny, my leader used this quote in our meeting yesterday. It is so true. Here is another good quote I think of often on my weight loss journey:
It's HARD to be overweight. It's HARD to lose weight. It's HARD to maintain weight loss. You just have to pick your hard!
I am the same this week, but have been faithfully journalling since thursday, which is the longest I've done in a while. I'm going to continue journalling and keep my eating under control. The weekends have been my downfall, but it's sunday, and I"m still under control, so this week will be better.

Congrats to all the losers,

Have a wonderful day.
