WW Weekly Weigh In--- Part 2

I didn't have a loss this week but I didn't have a gain either. But for some odd reason I seem motivated by this! I will focus more on the workouts and continue to count the points and I will have a loss next week!

That's great that maintaining is motivating you to keep at it. You will definitely see a loss next week with that positive attitude.

I went to pay the piper today, and was thrilled to only have gained 1.4 pounds for the past 2 weeks. I'm going to continue to exercise, and am back to tracking every bite, so that will be gone next week. The big motivator for me, was I went back up to 200.6, so I need to get back to One-derland next week.

Happy weekend.

It looks like everyone has had a great week!Congratulations! I went this morning for my weekly meeting and I was down 2.8.
One of my favorite parts of our meeting is when people share names of any new food products that they find in grocery stores. It's always a great way to jot down names of products that I might not normally find in the store. Does anyone else do this at their meetings?

Kathy, so glad to hear you had a good birthday! And knowing you the little gain is only temporary, onederland is right around the corner. Keep motivated and keep up with that exercise, that is dedication!!

pixiedust247, glad to hear you have the motivation, it makes all the difference in the world. I hope next week the scale will show a loss for you.

Congrats nurseintraining and rrconnelly on your losses this week.

Being lifetime, I only have to weigh in once a month and for the last 8 months that is all I have been doing, so in 2009 I resolved to start attending at least 1-2 meetings a month and I am happy to report that I have been sticking to it. I am hoping to find the motivation to drop under goal once and for all. I am participating in a Biggest Loser challenge at work that started with the new year, we have 3 weeks until the final weigh in.....I initially said I wanted to lose 12 pounds, well here I sit 3 weeks from the end and I have only taken off 7 pounds in the last two months, SO, I have 3 weeks to lose 5 pounds and I so want to complete this goal. I have reved up the exercise and I am tracking my POINTS once again, so wish me luck.

A bonus from going to the meetings is getting great ideas. This was mentioned at our meeting this week and I tried it and it was sooo yummy I thought I would share. For lunch take 2 pieces of lite whole grain bread, 1 single serve package of Wholly Guacamole, 1-2 oz of turkey, a leaf of romaine lettuce and a couple of tomato slices. Toast the bread and spread with the guacamole and top with remaining ingredients, serve with a side salad with FF dressing and you have a great, fully satisfying meal for 6-7 POINTS.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Hello all,

I am so counting down the days to spring that I can get out more and walk. The really cold weather here in NY this whole winter has made it difficult!

I am down another 1.4 lbs this week. Closing in on the last 10.

I had such a good on program WW lunch I need to share with you.

2 1/2 oz of 95% lean meat that I made into a hamburger (that was weight after cooking) 3 pts
1 triangle of Laughing Cow Swiss Cheese - 1 pt

1 tablespoon of Hellmann's Low Fat Mayo - 0 pts!

Onion - 0 pts

Arnold Sandwich Pita - 1 pt

l pkg (yes I ate the whole pkg) of frozen stringbeans. Sprayed with oil oil pam baked in oven till they came out looking like French Fries - 0 pts

Total 5 pts and so good and filling! I'm set to go the rest of the day till dinner time.

Have a great on program weekend all.

Great work, Mary Anne! You have been a shinning example of home successful one can be on WW. Before you know it those 10# will be gone and we will be celebrating your victory! Keep up the great work.

just checking in, this morning I was down 1.8! yay! 1 pound away from my 10 lb ribbon!

Congratulations!!! Wow, you are so close to 10 lbs!

Great losses this week! What a way to spring into Spring!

Excellent loss! We share food products at our meeting too. It is a great way to introduce new foods into the plan, everyone has their favorite stores so this si a way to know other stores carry. We also have people who order products online and becasue the order is large we all get a discount. One gal orders PB2 and Marisa orders Kernal Seasonings, both at a substantial discount.

A bonus from going to the meetings is getting great ideas. This was mentioned at our meeting this week and I tried it and it was sooo yummy I thought I would share. I know that you are getting motivation from the meetings but the folks at your meeting are getting inspiration from you. We have two lifetime members who attend every week and I love seeing them, they are proof positive taht this is not a diet but that it is a life plan. One is a 14 YO girl who lost over 45 pounds. She is there with her Mom or Dad evey week, it has been a joy to watch her lose and ehn to see her stay. i also :rotfl::rotfl: at her Dad last week when she shared that she got her bikini :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:. I think he bought a baseball bat.....

I am down another 1.4 lbs this week. Closing in on the last 10.

:thumbsup2 Great job!

I had a better WI tonight 1.4 pounds. I am determined to stay OT this week as well. No more excuses to fall down and eat cake......;)

Have a great week!

I think part of being a success is getting motivation from a variety of sources and the more motivation and support the better. If I can inspire someone that is wonderful, if they can inspire me that is wonderful too, I think it is all about supporting one another. Fantastic about the 14 yo in your meeting, what an inspiration.

Congrats on your loss this week!:cool1:

Weighed in for March and I am down another 1.8#, only 4.5 more to go for my 5# cushion!!!!:cool1:

Down .8 this week, a bit slow but still o.k. for me. I agree that the motivation and support from the weekly meetings is so important!

I firmly believe in the weekly meetings. I know without the meetings I would not be where I am.

Hey guys, just my weekly check-in. So this morning was horrible, I gained 1.2! :sad1: I was pretty upset, but instead of wallowing in my sorrows, I went to the gym and did 60 mins of cardio!! :cool1: YAY me! I felt so much better after I was done. Here's to next week!

Hey everyone,
So I've been neglecting this board and I'm sorry... part of it is because I'm having to use my husbands computer (so I have to wait my turn) and the part is because it hasn't been such a great couple weeks. But anyway...welcome to all the new people who've come in the last 2-3 weeks, congrats to everyone who's losing and  for those who are struggling.

just a warning....I didn't realize how long it had been since I was here, so some of the posts I'm responding to are from awhile back...

Last week I made lentils -- rather then boil them on the top of the stove, I baked them in the oven.
This sounds awesome. What did you set your oven at?

I'm back from my interview and the good news I am officially a WW employee now! :woohoo:

:cool1: I hope something opens soon for you!

I second this! :goodvibes

Good job hitting the gym immediately!

So the last couple weeks... (I want to keep myself honest, so please bear with me.) I had two weeks where I lost 0.4 I am completely ok w/ that because down is down, and it was pretty typical for my weight loss. Then I had one week where I completely lost it... I don't even remember why or what I ate, but I'm a daily weigher, so I knew my WI was going to be bad (as in up 5.6 lbs bad), so I opted for the NWI pass at my meeting. I think it was mainly food choices (high carb, high salt), b/c the next week I was down a lb from the last time I actually WI (so down about 6 lbs according to the scale at home). And then I gained 4.4 last week (stressful week at work.. even pulled an all nighter). Add that to I came home and ate a lot of crap.... every night. And on top that to the fact that I developed tendonitis in my left ankle, so I can't run on the treadmill. I've had to go back to the elliptical and stationary bikes (both of which I really dislike), so motivation to go to the gym has not been good.

but.... This week I'm down 2.2 lbs. :cool1: I am so happy about this, I can't even tell you all. My total loss total is 41.6. I just haven't felt in control the last couple weeks and more so, felt like I didn't care a lot of nights. I'd still make my lunch and do great at work, but it was home that was the problem. However...today has been a good day, I'm recommitted and I'm going to change some things up.

Sorry for the long post... I had some catching up to do! Hope everyone has a good Sunday and don't forget about Daylight Savings tonight.

Rachel

p.s. I know there was some talk about oatmeal, but I didn't mark any of the comments. I LOVE the Quaker Oats Weight Control (3 pts), esp. the brown sugar flavor. It's got a lot of protein and fiber in it and it tastes great.

Good to see you here Rachael.

I cook the lentils at 350 till whenever they are done.

That's awesome heading to the gym for an hour!

Hi everyone! Good to see you again Rachel! You are not alone in the struggle to stay focused and OP, it seems a lot of us are working hard to recommit after the winter doldrums.

nurseintraining- Good to see you head to gym instead of the pantry! I don;t know about you but last year at this time I would have made a dent in the cookie jar instead of finding a positive way to channel that gain. Good job!

Congrats to the losers this week. I think we are the only thread where being called a "loser" is a great thing! :rotfl:

nurseintraining, what a wonderful decision you made, you should be proud of yourself!

It is a never ending cycle, we have good weeks and we have bad weeks. We just need to remember what WW taught us and celebrate the good and do what nurseintraining did and pick ourselves back up after a little setback.
