Hey everyone,
So I've been neglecting this board and I'm sorry... part of it is because I'm having to use my husbands computer (so I have to wait my turn) and the part is because it hasn't been such a great couple weeks. But anyway...welcome to all the new people who've come in the last 2-3 weeks, congrats to everyone who's losing and

for those who are struggling.
just a warning....I didn't realize how long it had been since I was here, so some of the posts I'm responding to are from awhile back...
Last week I made lentils -- rather then boil them on the top of the stove, I baked them in the oven.
This sounds awesome. What did you set your oven at?
I'm back from my interview and the good news I am officially a WW employee now!

I hope something opens soon for you!
I firmly believe in the weekly meetings. I know without the meetings I would not be where I am.
I second this!
Hey guys, just my weekly check-in. So this morning was horrible, I gained 1.2!

I was pretty upset, but instead of wallowing in my sorrows, I went to the gym and did 60 mins of cardio!!

YAY me! I felt so much better after I was done. Here's to next week!
Good job hitting the gym immediately!
So the last couple weeks... (I want to keep myself honest, so please bear with me.) I had two weeks where I lost 0.4 I am completely ok w/ that because down is down, and it was pretty typical for my weight loss. Then I had one week where I completely lost it... I don't even remember why or what I ate, but I'm a daily weigher, so I knew my WI was going to be bad (as in up 5.6 lbs bad), so I opted for the NWI pass at my meeting. I think it was mainly food choices (high carb, high salt), b/c the next week I was down a lb from the last time I actually WI (so down about 6 lbs according to the scale at home). And then I gained 4.4 last week (stressful week at work.. even pulled an all nighter). Add that to I came home and ate a lot of crap.... every night. And on top that to the fact that I developed tendonitis in my left ankle, so I can't run on the treadmill. I've had to go back to the elliptical and stationary bikes (both of which I really dislike), so motivation to go to the gym has not been good.
but.... This week I'm down 2.2 lbs.

I am so happy about this, I can't even tell you all. My total loss total is 41.6. I just haven't felt in control the last couple weeks and more so, felt like I didn't care a lot of nights. I'd still make my lunch and do great at work, but it was home that was the problem. However...today has been a good day, I'm recommitted and I'm going to change some things up.
Sorry for the long post... I had some catching up to do! Hope everyone has a good Sunday and don't forget about Daylight Savings tonight.
Rachel
p.s. I know there was some talk about oatmeal, but I didn't mark any of the comments. I LOVE the Quaker Oats Weight Control (3 pts), esp. the brown sugar flavor. It's got a lot of protein and fiber in it and it tastes great.
