WW Weekly Weigh In--- Part 2

OK who can use a laugh.... a really good, you may need a depends laugh. Clicj on the line to old Weight Watcher recipe cards from the early 1970. Be sure to click on the snap shot pictures for the story of each "food" and I use the word "food" with little conviction. It's a wonder anyone made it to lifetime in those days.

Oh, somehow I managed to maintain this week. I didn't gain! I consider that a victory!

Just to funny Mary Anne!!! I needed this after the week I have had. Thanks a bunch!:goodvibes

I am a temp at an office where the people are very nice but there's always some kind of treat.
How do I turn it down without sounding ungrateful or rude?

Go back and read some of my posts. I work in an ofice that nothing, and I mean nothing is not accompanied by FOOD. I've learned to bring my own stuff in and when the other stuff comes around just stay, Thanks, maybe later I just had something. You know when skinny people say no thanks, no one encourages them to keep eating, those of us who enjoy eating... it's a crime to the offerer when when we say no.

Good luck.....

Forgot to post this past Friday. 1 pound weight loss last week. It is slow, but progressive!:)

Well my WI was not stellar. I gained .4. I was not expecting it so I was a little let down. Oh well, back on track today and we'll see what happens.

I weigh in tommorow too! An office can be tough, choirchic just politely decline. You can say, I already ate, I'm full or I'm saving my calories to go out to eat this weekend, those typse of comments are usually taken pretty well. I'm a server in a fine dinning establishment. It is torture, I've been bringing my own salads & the chef seems to take offence, but it is helping me & that is what matters! Everyone is noticing my weight loss now so I think it makes more sence when I don't eat the food. I often find the "Ganache Torte" calling my name. But I also know that I'm not looking for that kind of a setback!!!

Tomorrow is bagel day in the office. So the person that did the ordering comes to me so proud, she ordered me a whole wheat bagel, because I'm on a diet. She didn't understand why I was not going to eat a whole 8 point bagel for breakfast, and then add cream cheese or whatnot to it. I find most people just truly don't understand or comprehend exactly how much food they really do eat every day. They are so used to super sizing everything that a normal portion of food looks like nothing to them.

I am sure that as a reformed eater I am worse then a reformed drinker around most of them. There are 4 of us on WW at work. I am the only one actually losing weight. That might be because I am the only one actually following the plan and journaling. Trust me I know it's hard, right now I could eat a box of something, anything, not because I'm hungry because I"m cranky at about 4 people at work. (The person buying the bagel is not on my cranky list :) -- her I love, just not enough to eat the whole bagel LOL )

Hope everyone weighing in tomorrow has good results. I'm going to bed before I eat something that I don't even want.

Good morning everyone. Well I'm back from vacation and I enjoyed every minute of not being on program. I feel really guilty for saying that. My summer is almost over (the kids go back to school next friday) and I'll be heading back to the Weight Watchers meetings then. I definitely had a difficult time with the kids home and being on the go so much but I'm really proud to report that I only gained 1 pound throughout the summer months. :yay: While I've been eating more than I should I do still exercise every day. I just lost my focus. I've got one more week to go so I'm trying to get my mind set on being back on program.

Good luck to everyone this week.

Well, this has not been a great week. On top of the other things I was dealing with, I got a summer cold. I hate being sick  . So, I didn't stick with the program really well. I weighed in this morning as was shocked to see that I lost 2.6lbs!!! :cool1: I finally broke that 70lb mark!!! :woohoo: So acording to the list, I have lost that Irish Setter, a dozen Krispy Kreme glazed donuts and a Guinea Pig!!! My next goal is to get to 75lbs and get the next ring for my key chain! Onward and downward as Tiggerlover says!! To all the losers: :cool1:. To all that have stayed the same or gained:  .

Melisa1

Nancyg56 (((hug))) I know the feeling

TrueLove's1stKiss Hope your weight in went good

Grumpy's Wife All things considered, I think you did great this summer.

bucci818 :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes breaking that 70 lbs that is GREAT! Hopefully that next ring for your key chain will be right around the corner!

Tomorrow is weigh in day for me. I've followed the plan but have had a very stressful week or so at work. I fear the scale will not be good to me.

It has been one heck of a week hasn't it. Summer used to be when I lost weight without even trying. Those days are long gone and somehow stress and humidity have stepped in. I hope that as the week goes by it gets a little easier :thumbsup2

Nancy56 I see you are in the tri-state area too. Yes, the heat has been terrible!!! I don't love winter, but I am looking forward to at least 65 degree temps for awhile.

The scale gods were good to me this week. I'm down 2.8 -- I've broken the 30 lb mark and next week I'm aiming for 1 lb so that I am out of the 2's and into the ONES!

Well I didn't make my vacation goal, which was to lose 20lbs before leaving, however after this weeks loss I am down 14.8 (0.8 this week). Its something to be proud of.

I just hope I don't have a major gain over vacation

that is great memy26 ... you know just try and eat normal and STOP when you are full. Do the best you can and get right back on program when you return.

Great week!

It is a weird weather pattern and hard to deal with. I like summer but this is humid clammy rainy overcast and not much fun. I think it is like living in a rainforest!

That loss is wonderful! As vacation goes, my leader said something like Mary Anne, just last as long as you can. You do the best that you can, make better choices than you would have before and if there is something that you want, have it. Just don't feel compelled to finish it once you are satisfied. Have fun!

I've seen the WISH forum but I've don't think I've ever checked in on it. So, seeing that we are leaving tomorrow, I thought I would check it out for additional inspiration for our trip. I am currently a WW Lifetime member and have been for almost 7 years:cool1: It has been an up and down roller coaster even as a lifetime member. I plan on checking out some of the tips that have been posted and hope that when I return I can add a few of my own.

hi everyone! I forgot to post on my WI day Wednesday....I was up 2.6 lbs from my last WI (on 7/2).Vacation down the beach did me in :sad2: I have been weighing in at home on the weeks I missed my meetings... the past couple weeks I have been maintaining the same weight each week.

The meetings really help to keep me on track and keep me motivated. so I really hope I can get to the next two meetings. I really want to get that 2 - 3 lbs off for next week. I have been exercising every day (except yesterday since I overslept :headache: ) since last Saturday :yay: !

I am going to a friends pool party next Sunday...many of the people there I haven't seen for a while and I can't wait to show up and show off my new, lighter self

Disneymama ~ Welcome! Congrats on your Lifetime status! I'm Lifetime also....since April of this year.

We're also going to WDW in 3 weeks so I really want to be at my ideal weight before we go so I can allow myself to indulge in some treats without worrying if I'm going to go over my goal weight. I am hoping all the walking each day will combat any treats I have  Have a great trip and please come back and post your tips for us!

Have a great week everyone!
