WW Weekly Weigh In--- Part 2

I would like to join you all. I just had my "last first weigh in." My current weight is 151.8, my goal weight is 100 (I'm 4'10"). I am currently doing the Flex Plan.

:welcome: Eeyores Butterfly, so glad to see you on the WW thread! Good luck in reaching your goal.

New to this post but joined WW last week - first weigh in today - lost 4.6 lbs. HOpe I have the willpower to continue. I don't expect to lose that much every week but would like to keep going in the downard direction.

Good luck everyone!

:welcome CHIPSTER. Congrats on your first weigh in, that is a great weekly loss. Once you start moving forward you will probably see the weight loss level off, average loss is 1-2 pounds a week. I know my first two weeks showed me a very good loss and then it leveled out.

Onward and downward!

I hope everyone has a wonderful day!!

(Thanks, pixie dust 112, DS is better this morning, but his face looks swollen and sore....poor kid.)

Nothing like a monday weigh in to keep you honest over the weekend. Not too bad of a weigh in this week. I was down .4 pounds. So, almost 1/2 a pound. Considering my whole steroid situation I'm pretty happy with that. Afterall, 1/2 a pound is equivalent to 2 sticks of butter. So, I have two less sticks of butter hanging from my hips.

Hope everyone has a great week.
:rotfl2: I can just see the two sticks! My leader says the same thing when someone says they lost just a 1/4 or 1/2lb. Congrats on the loss!:goodvibes

ARGH, back to the doctor again tonight.....not for me this time, but for DS (12). DS, not paying attention drove his electric scooter right into the back of a parked car and split his lip open and needed stitches! Hopefully this is the end of our runs to the doctor.
Well, you know those parked cars just jump out at you!;) Hope both mom and DS are doing well.

:welcome: Glad to have more onboard! Eeyores Butterfly..Great job just walking in and getting on the scale....that's half the battle! Chipster, that is a great first week loss. You can do it, and we are here for the support if needed. Also, don't forget to stay for the meetings, because they really do help! Have a great week!!:goodvibes

Well, after that horrible gain last week, I'm happy to say that I'm down 3lbs this week!!:cool1: :cool1: I tracked everything I ate, even though I'm on the core, and I busted with my exercise this week. I checked my points calculator and realized I wasn't giving myself enough earned points for my walk every morning. I also added the Biggest Loser Cardio Max workout every other morning AFTER I walk the 2.4 miles. I'm tired of going back and forth with the same pounds. Next week is my mission to hit that 70lb mark. This is with the challenge of having two birthday parties on Saturday and one on Sunday. Saturday should be OK, because I'm throwing them and I will be to busy to eat allot. Sunday is at my in laws, and she never makes anything I can eat on core. To combat that, I might throw in an extra BL workout during the week. I can taste 70lbs and I want it!:) Good luck to all who have to yet weigh in; Congrats to all the losers!; And to all who gained...

I just found this thread and had to respond. I have walked the last 4 DW Half Marathons so excersize has not been my problem. But even with all the walking weight loss was not a result. The last mile of this years race was a wake up call for me. I was lucky to finish and get my duck! I knew right then and there I needed to do something abiut my weight. In Feb I joined WW. My starting weight was 374.8!!!!! i had no idea I was that heavy. All I knew was that my doctors scale went to 350 and I was more than that. I have been on the core program. As of last Thursday I have lost 61 lbs. I have had great success. I just wish I had found WW years ago. I really get it. I buy into the whole concept of it being a change of life style and not a diet. My next goal is to be under 300 by Labor Day. I also have set a goal of under 275 by race day this year. That is under 275 pounds and under 275 minutes (2 hours, 15 minutes) My meeting is tonight. This has been a tough week. It seems like it has been 1 big party. I will not be supprised if I am up a little this week.

I'm down 1.6 this week, making my total 14lbs:cool1: . My mini goal is to have lost 20lbs by vacation time. I've got 17 days and 6 lbs, now the question is if I'll make it or not.

Congrats to all the other losers this week. And to everyone struggling :grouphug:

It's great to check in tonight and see all the new posters. Welcome, welcome, welcome....

Today was weigh in day for me and I'm down another lb! so that makes a total of 26. I'm really pushing for that 30 lbs now. One meal at a time, one day at a time.... I am now 60 days on the program. Onward and downward is my motto!!!!

I weighed in and I did not loose anything this week.

I feel ok about it. I did exercise 4 nights this week and that is more than I have done in years.

Wow 26 lbs in 60 days, I'm impressed!! I'm at 2 1/2 months on the program and I've only lost 14lbs, but at least I've lost

You will make your 30lb goal in no time.

Maryanne: :cool1: :thumbsup2  :woohoo: :yay: :dance3: :cheer2: :hyper: party: :jumping1: You are doing great! I love your motto.

Angela: You also have a great attitude. Sometimes those NSVs (Non-scale victory, don't know if you all use the same lingo here as the WW boards) are just as important as the SVs (Scale Victories.) Keep up the good work. :cheer2:

Memy: There is no "only" about 14 pounds. In 2.5 months, that equals 5.6 pounds a month, or over a pound a week. Considering that the average (and safe) rate of weight loss is .5-2lbs a week, you are doing great! WW can actually ask you to leave the program if you lose to fast. I've never heard of it happening, but I know that it can. So don't put yourself down. Celebrate girl! :cheer2:

No change for me this week, but it's my own fault. I am just in a dieting funk and I can't get out out it!

I did not expect good results on the scale at last nights meeting. It had been a week full of events loaded with food landmines! Well I was shocked when Igot on the scale. I had lost 3.4 lbs. I am now down 64.4 total.

Terry that is wonderful, it shows you made good choices. :cool1:

pixie dust, I hate those diet funks. Just try and breath through them and keep your head above water. (((hugs)))

Memmy, I agree with Eyore Butterfly, 14 lbs is a great loss. I'm starting to slow down now to those 1 lb a week and you know what it's fine. Don't look at were you are, look at where you've been and how far you've come. :grouphug:

Angela, I agree those non scale victories are the best.

I hope everyone has a great on program weekend. It's going to be a hot one here in NYC.

Hi everyone!

I am new to ww but not to the Disboards. I hope you all don't mind if I join here!
I started ww 4 weeks ago yesterday and have lost 11 pounds. My last 2 weeks have been 1 pound each.
DH is in the military and in Iraq for the next 15 months, so I have been living off of lean cuisines.
Does anyone have any great tips for me? I see alot of you talking about eating all of your points and I have to admit, I average having about 5 or 6 left over every day. I guess I need to try to eat all my points!

Hi everyone!
I feel like I've been gone from this thread for so long! We went on vacation to the beach and once we got back it's been nonstop around here. On top of the regular craziness, my parents had a house fire yesterday. One half of the house is destroyed :sad1: what a horrifying experience. Thank God no one was at home at the time.....apparantly a firefighter was driving by the house and saw smoke pouring out of the upstairs skylight yesterday morning. Talk about being in the right place at the right time! It was started by an old refrigerator in the basement and went straight up that side of the house. They just noticed the day before that the freezer was defrosting things so she moved all the frozen stuff upstairs and to my brother's freezer so it wouldn't spoil. They had planned on going out to buy a replacement as soon as possible, but I guess it wasn't soon enough:sad2: It's going to be a lot of work salvaging what's left and itemizing each and every thing that was lost. Say a prayer for us if you are so inclined.

I have to say I didn't do as well as I hoped while on vacation. I brought all the foods I needed to make smart choices, which I did, but I also ate the not so smart choices too :sad2: . I did walk on the beach three mornings though, but when I got home I was up a few pounds :guilty: I've had some trouble staying on track especially getting back in to working out. I went to my meeting on Wednesday but didn't weigh in ~ I did not want to face that number ( I weighed at home instead)

I'm doing better this week and down a couple pounds already :)

Welcome to all the new people!! I love how this thread has grown so much! Have a good week everyone!

cepmom I'm so sorry to hear about your parents house. Thank goodness no one was home or hurt.

Hi everyone and forgive me for not reading back. I haven't been on much this week between trying to get my daughter off to cheer camp and trying to organize stuff around here for our vacation next week. I'm still not in the zone like I was before on WW. I guess knowing I'm rejoinging when school starts back in August sort of gives me a little leeway right now. I know it shouldn't but that's sort of where I'm at right now. I weighed this morning and I'm up one pound. Not too surprising at all.

Good luck staying on program and I'll check back in when we return from vacation.

Welcome Melisa1 - please do join in and partipate. This is a great thread and we are alway happy to have someone new join in.

I admit I sometimes have a problem getting all the daily points in and do rarely use the 35 extra. What I have discoved though is while I follow the flex plan, I do tend to eat a lot more core foods. My goal now is to get in all the required, milk, water, oils etc and if I'm doing that and still have points left over then I don't feel so bad. What I am going to do over this weekend is track both flex and core eating and see if that is what I am truly doing. I will let you know if my theory is correct.

Cepmom - welcome back. I am truly sorry to hear about your parents home. Trust me, I am o enclined and you and your family will be in my prayers. Vacation is hard to stay on track... heck I had a business dinner this week that was not easy to find stuff to eat. Do the best you can and don't look back. That is what I did that evening.

Grumpy's wife have a great vacation!

:welcome: Terry, so glad to have you join our little thread. A great BIG congratulations for the weight loss you have had to date, that is super!!! Having tough weeks is hard, but just barrel through and stay focused and your momentum will return. :)

Good job this week, memy26, keep up the great work! Eeyores Butterfly, really puts it into perspective, you should be proud of yourself.

:cheer2: Mary Anne!!

pixie dust 112  Hang in there, we all have off weeks, hopefully next week will be a better one for you.

Melisa1 :welcome: to a fellow military wife!! And congrats on your weight loss to date. As for tips, I would say try not to eat so many Lean Cuisines, there is too much sodium in there, I would try eating more fresh, less processed foods if possible. Also, it is very important to eat your points, as silly as it sounds, you need to eat to lose.

cepmom, so very, very sorry to hear about your parents house, that is horrible! But thankfully no one was at home and got hurt. Summer time is a hard time to stay OP for all of us I think, glad to hear that you are getting back at it.....one day at a time is all we can do.

 Grumpy's Wife ...hang in there....tomorrow is a new day.

Onward and downward!!!!

Does anyone have any great tips for me? I see alot of you talking about eating all of your points and I have to admit, I average having about 5 or 6 left over every day. I guess I need to try to eat all my points!

You really do need to eat all of your points, that is what your body needs to lose weight safely. If you don't, eventually your body will go into starvation mode and you will quit losing. Five to six extra points left over consistently really is too much.

First off- while I love Lean Cuisines, they should not be your only meal. As a pp said, they are high in sodium, and frankly, you will get bored with them. Try looking at what you used to eat, see if there are ways to incorporate it back into your life. I eat lots of "normal" food, if you click on the link in my sig, you can see how I work in regular foods and still stay on track. Try new recipes, switch it up. The number one reason for falling off the wagon is boredom. You need to learn how to eat in different situations (restaurants, on the road, etc.). That will help a lot.

The longer you feel deprived, the more likely you are to quit. Remember, this is a lifestyle, not a diet. Can you honestly picture yourself eating nothing but Lean Cuisine the rest of your life? I know I couldn't.

If you still have troulbe with it, try talking to your leader, I'm sure s/he can give you some great advice.
