WW Weekly Weigh In--- Part 2

Well I am celebrating :cool1: and I am fully aware the first week shows big results (and I am prone to retain water) but the last time round it wasn't this big.
I actually went down nine pounds :cool1: It just gives me the motivation to keep trucking. I only had only one hungry day. Did this weeks shopping and I am all set to face it. One week at a time one challenge as it comes.

mousemgr2 I spent a lot of time on steroids for Psarosis. I stoped a year ago and am still feeling the effects. Keep positive. Being aware is great.

Congrats all on the losses

Nothern Julie Way to go!!!! :cool1: I find by buying my food the week in advance and having food to make good choices with has made a big difference.

Northern_Julie- Whoo hoo!!!!!:cool1:  :cool1:  :cool1: You should be celebrating, girl. That is an awesome weight loss for your first week!! Keep up the great work!!!

Zoesmama03- Glad you are doing better now. I'm having a hard time this summer keeping on track too. So long as we don't give up, we will get there. Good luck tomorrow at weighin.

Mary Anne- party: 25 lbs!!!!party: Congrats!! That is wonderful!! You should be so proud. Great victory story on the scale too. Keep up the great work. You are inspiring to all of us who are struggling.

memy26- Congrats on your loss!!   12.4 is awesome!!

tiggerlover- :grouphug: I'm so sorry to hear about your allergy ordeals. It must have been so scary. I had to call 911 a few weeks ago when my son had a reaction to a cashew. It was awful, and I was in such a panic. Hang in there. The steroids really stink, but it will be a temporary gain, and you'll lose it quick. Hope you are feeling better real soon. You must be exhausted.

mousemgr2- :grouphug: That's too bad you have to stay on the steroids. I never realized how difficult poison ivy could be until a coworker kept getting it and needing steroids. What a pain. Maintaining is a good plan for you. You can do it!!:cheer2:

pixie dust 112 - Sorry you had a gain, but sounds like you did great with those daily ice cream temptations. Vacations are definitely for some splurges, and if you are right back to it, you'll see that 1.2 done next week.

DaisyLynn- Sorry you had a gain. Vacations are really tough to stay with the program. We deserve to relax and live it up a little. As far as cooking at home, I usually cook extra for lunchs, and leftovers, and will figure out the total points, and divvy the food up into individual containers, and figure it out that way. It's just me and my son, and often he doesn't eat what I make for myself, so it's easy to do it that way.

I was up .6 this week, after not eating on program much at all. I did get out and play tennis, and bike a few times, so that helped me from gaining more. This week my son starts camp, so I need to prepare his lunch and snacks, so I'm planning to eat a little healthier. I can't decide if I want to do flex or core. I did so well on core for those 6 weeks I did it, but with what I've been eating the past few weeks, I don't know if the 35 flex points will be enough. The past few weeks of summer have been tough, one week I was on vacation, and the other two, my son stayed with family while I worked, so I didn't have to pack his lunch. I need to get back into a routine, and am planning to go grocery shopping tomorrow and stock up on some healthy foods for the week. I also haven't been on the computer much. I usually had an hour after he gets on the school bus before I leave for work, and I miss that.

Here's to a healthy, on program week for all of us.pixiedust:

On Thursday I weighed in at WW for my 6th week and I have loss 13.2 lbs. I am so excited but I have a long way to go.

We are going to Disney in September with the Free Dining and I am starting to plan what I am going to eat. I am determined to be healthy and have a great time while we are there.

Any suggestions??

Thanks,

I did great while I was at Disney but we only ate 5 meals out so that really helped. What I suggest is that you read each menu of where you are going to eat ahead of time and know exactly what you are going to order. No matter what, write everything down in your tracker. I found that by being truthful with myself with what I ate made a big difference. I also had one meal that I allowed myself to eat anything I wanted. I made that the last meal we ate on our trip and I specifically had foods I really enjoyed but would not eat on plan. No matter what happens don't beat yourself up. On the bright side the extra walking will get you the extra points too. I caculated we walked 20 miles the week we were there. Epcot is great for extra steps (smile).

I had my 2nd weigh in today. After a disappointing first week I was pleasantly surprised by a 3.6 loss! Yea!

Hugs to all who are struggling :grouphug: and congrats to all who lost :woohoo:

Mary Anne, way to go!! 25Lbs is awesome :yay:

DailyLynn, I subscribed to the WW tools online. I can type in an entire recipe and how many portions I expect to get from it and it calculates the points for me. If I don't like the point value I can play with the recipe until it works for me. I also track online so I name the recipe and just type in the name and how many portions and it pulls it into my journal. It's just easier for me.

Seems like summer is a tough time for everyone. Vacations, holidays and all the BBQ's really play havoc with our routines. I agree with everyone who said plan and be prepared. We camp a lot in the summer so I plan all our meals ahead of time and shop accordingly (I really need to start doing that at home too). It makes everything so much easier. Even if I don't record I know about how many points each meal is ahead of time, so I just mentally keep track of it.

I found a new snack: Shaw's brand Caramel Mini Rice Snacks. 8 pieces = 1 point. (if not available Quaker brand 7 pieces = 1 point). They are crunchy and sweet.

Down again this week! Just a pound, but a pound is a pound! (and it's that time of the month again.... :headache: )

What a great idea to start planning what you are going to eat ahead of time. We are going in the beginning of September (free dining also). I was worried about how to manage while down there. I'm going to have to get on AllEars and check out menus and start planning out what I am going to eat based on our dining reservations.

Thanks for the great idea!

Nothing like a monday weigh in to keep you honest over the weekend. Not too bad of a weigh in this week. I was down .4 pounds. So, almost 1/2 a pound. Considering my whole steroid situation I'm pretty happy with that. Afterall, 1/2 a pound is equivalent to 2 sticks of butter. So, I have two less sticks of butter hanging from my hips.

Hope everyone has a great week.

:rotfl2: What a great way to think of it! COngratulations on the loss!

Hi everyone- Down 2 lbs last week. Hopefully I'll make it to 10 on this week's weigh-in. So far so good. I'm always encouraged by everyone else's losses, so let's all keep up the good work.

Kathy, it was scary for me, I can't imagine how you felt having it be your son! Is he allergic to nuts or was this the first instance? How scary!

I am much better and have lost the 4 pounds I was up after the steroids. I still have a headache, which they say is a side effect, I just can't wait until it goes away. I would have thought it would be out of my system by now as my last dose was on Wednesday of last week.

Summer is a rough time to stay OP, I hope this week finds it a little easier for you now that you are getting back on a routine.

Congrats on the losses pakhowe, angelaV71, toledo13, mousemgr2 and leanne2255. :cool1:

Onward and downward!!

ARGH, back to the doctor again tonight.....not for me this time, but for DS (12). DS, not paying attention drove his electric scooter right into the back of a parked car and split his lip open and needed stitches! Hopefully this is the end of our runs to the doctor.

Oh poor kid and poor mom!

MouseMGR2,

Do you know where you are going to be eating? We have ADR's at the following...

1. 50's Prime Time Cafe
2. The Wave
3. Garden Grill
4. 1900 Park Fare

We are staying at Pop Century and we are traveling with my Uncle, Aunt, and Cousin. We are taking our daughter who is 3. I cannot wait to see her face when she sees Mickey.

2 shorts months...

I would like to join you all. I just had my "last first weigh in." My current weight is 151.8, my goal weight is 100 (I'm 4'10"). I am currently doing the Flex Plan.

New to this post but joined WW last week - first weigh in today - lost 4.6 lbs. HOpe I have the willpower to continue. I don't expect to lose that much every week but would like to keep going in the downard direction.

Good luck everyone!

Congratulations Chipster! :cool1: :thumbsup2 :yay: :woohoo: :dance3: :cheer2:

I hope you enjoy WW as much as I have. When I was actually following the program, I lost 15 lbs before falling off the wagon. I hope you continue to have success on your journey!
