WW Weekly Weigh In--- Part 2

Thanks for the welcome back. :) I'm doing pretty good but left with only 6.5 points for dinner because I had McDonalds for lunch. I did choose wiser and go with a hamburger happy meal. :thumbsup2 With lite lemonade. I love fries especially McDonalds so I did get those. I also had a side salad.

My big struggle with eating is lunch right now. Its hard because I work at various locations(people's home doing some housekeeping or care for others) and don't want to drag my food around in peoples homes to keep refridgerated. I love peanut butter but not the best points watching. Maybe tomorrow I'll make a stop in Walmart and see if I can find a fair sized lunch box with ice packs. So I can do turkey sandwiches and veggies etc. I did that before and was very successful with it I even had one can of soda with my lunch back then and fat free pudding cups(for the milk and to kill chocolate cravings HEHE)

I'm hoping to find a better full time job soon that should have a fridge for lunch storage and I'll do some frozen meals too.

bucci818,
She will be 5 on the 26th so whats that 19 days. :) She is excited. WOW typing that out is scary since I haven't started much planning. I'm thinking to do a informal(not the party pack just show up, ours aren't busy usually) Chuck E Cheese or another place we have like it with more rides. She is requesting a pinata, water balloon toss, and pin the tail on the donkey game which would work better at a park though its HOT. So might do a splash park that has slides and sprinkler type streams so we can stay a bit cooler. That park is soooo busy though I dunno. Decisions, decisions.

I just wanted to say that your dd and I share the same birthday, although I'm 30 years older:lmao:

Also definitely invest in a small lunch cooler. I take one to work and carry my yogurt, milk, veggies, etc with no problems what-so-ever

Welcome to all our new members to the thread. This thread seems to be hopping lately and it's great to get to know everyone and cheer them on a well as give them.

I have to share a food that I made today. I got most of the idea from a WW meeting last week and then "added": to it.

1 cop of Greek NO FAT plain yogart - 2 points
I then add 1/3 package of the Good Seasons Ranch Dressing - I count that as 1 point also
1/2 package of frozen chopped spinach thawed - 0 points. (this was my add in)

Mix it all up, then add fresh cut up vegies. It was SO GOOD! 3 points in total if you ate the whole thing in one sitting. 1 point if you spread it out over 3.

Yes, my WW counter take my steps/miles and converts it to points. I have not eaten any extra of the points (yet! -- I'm sure I will one of these days) but it's nice to see how my exercise and housework transpires into points.

Glad to see more people joining the thread. Congrats to all of you who did well over the holiday.

I weighed in tonight with a gain of .75 pounds over two weeks, which, given my lack of following the program, and mindless eating I've been doing, I was pretty happy.

The good news is tomorrow is another day, and I will be back on program. Everyone, have a great week.

Stressful afternoon.OT but I had a run in with the bank a few weeks back where I went over on a debit purchase at Target. Before I could always run cash to the atm and have it clear no problems well they pulled it and 3 fees because of their stupid policy to run them largest to smallest. So I've been very careful and precise on my tracking, even writing it in my check register :rolleyes1 and Sonic double charged me on a chicken wrap meal I got on the 1st. Turns out after talking with them the car hop was doing that all day and is arrested and was fired. Some people!!!!

memy,
aww thats cool. She was 2 weeks early, induced from hypertension and pre-eclampsia starting up. But she was healthy and perfect. :goodvibes I'm broke until Friday but I had picked up some Slim Fast bars for now. I can put them in my scrubs pocket so they stay room temp. Otherwise since I am broke no more stops and that wouldn't be too healthy to skip and then binge in the evening. I'll be looking into another cooler with ice packs. I had one before and it was wonderful.

Mary Anne,
I'm assuming the ranch was to give it flavor correct?? Try the natures valley ranch seasoning its powder in the spices aisle. It might save more calories, maybe? I use it with lite sour cream for a liter than normal dip for veggies or whatever. Sounds good maybe I'll try it. I love spinach with vinegar usually.

You might want to try Target for a nice lunch tote. I have one that I bring to the ball park all the time. It really looks more like a tote bag than a lunch kit. It's insulated and might just work out perfectly for you to bring lunch into your client's home.

It's great to see so many here. :welcome: to all the newcomers, and a big congratulations to all who have done so well over the holiday weekend!!:cool1: That is tough to do, and you should be proud.

I am still struggling, but after a big 5.4 pound gain on saturday, after eating and drinking like crazy but I am getting a handle on it slowly. I am so mad at myself, after doing core for 6 weeks, I had reach a new low of 183.4, but after two crazy weeks, I am now back up to 191.4. I want to get back in the 180s this week, and get back on the slow and steady program, not the yo-yo plan.

I'm also missing my morning computer time. I used to have an hour after my son got on the bus to myself, but with school out, that is gone now. Good luck to everyone!! We all can do it!:cheer2:

Since DS's birthdays are a week apart, I have there parties together. I did the swim thing last year, and it was alot of fun. This year, I'm trying to think of something different. It's 9 boys this year, and that can be a challenge. Good luck with your planning!!

 Well, you are not alone with your gain..I weighed in this morning to find that I am up 2.8lbs!!!:scared1: I know I wasn't perfect, but I worked out longer too. Well, I'm really back on the wagon today. I'm going to look back and find out what I ate the week I lost almost 4lbs and try to do the same thing. It's worth a shot anyway. Good luck in the coming week!:goodvibes

 It is so tough to stick with it 100%, and then it catches up with you. That's a great idea to go back and follow a week with a good loss. Good luck.

yeah if you figure out what you ate that week- can you share it with the rest of us!? :rolleyes1

Thanks for all the welcomes.

I am actually doing pretty good midweek. This time round I don't have that "honeymoon" it is all about the plan. I am lucky in the summer that I can walk home for lunch so at breakfast I lay out lunch...and lunch I do any dinner prep. Staying one step ahead.

I am in a doing wii fit 30mins before work then hit the shower. I have also am doing my aquafit 4 times a week. It is a 20min walk to the pool and back but it gives me time to think.

My big victory today was we are hitting a milestone number at work and someone turned to me and asked what kind of cake should we have. I without a beat asked if we could have a fruit plate instead.... everyone actually jumped on the idea

Not saying this is easy but slowly I am adjusting.

Wow! Great idea, really! This time of year it'll be especially refreshing, too. I am inspired! :cheer2:

Tonight at weigh in...well...let's just say it didn't go well. I gained 2.6 lbs. after losing 4.6 the week prior. What happened? I can think of two things. 1) I drank maybe 1/2 as much water as I did the week before (substituting the H2O with diet coke and iced coffee), and 2) vacation from work for the week. I do so well when I'm at work, and where I was off I think that really hurt me. I'm a snacker...so at work, those are controlled by scheduled breaks and the fact that I only bring one small baggie of my yummy lo-cal treat. When I'm home, I've got the whole box. I need to get those munchies under control. Also, I'm not a drinker by any means...but this weekend I had more beer than I should have! :drinking1

Tomorrow is a new day and the beginning of a new WW week. I will do better!

By the way, does anyone else have a hard time making dinners at home and counting the points for it and keeping portions controlled? I think that may have been another issue for me this week. I realized that I made more dinners (i.e. shrimp marinara, jambalaya, chicken fajitas), rather than eating the prepackaged and frozen-type foods (i.e. Smart Ones, Morningstar Farms Chik'n patties, Lean Pockets).

I cook a lot but I admit that in some cases I cook different for me then the rest of my family. Whatever I'm making for them, I pull out my potion and weigh and measure first so I know the point count is more or less on target. Sat, Sun, and usually Mon & Tues I eat what i've cooked, either special for myself or weighed and measured. The other nights I do use a pre-packaged meal. What I did this week was cook a whole chicken that had been cut in quarters on Saturday. Then I took my portion each night and fixed it a little different.

Just back from weigh in and I am up 1.2 pounds!:guilty: I guess it could be worse. I was on vacation from the 27th to the 5th and then on the 6th took an unexpected trip to Lake Placid for the 6th and 7th. I have to remind myself that this could have resulted in a much larger gain. See my family has a tradition that we must got out for ice cream everyday that we are in Cape Cod! I limited what I had, getting small dishes of ice cream instead of large, or sharing with my kids instead of having an ice cream all to myself! Ok onward and downward!

The good: I was down 1.2 pounds at my weigh in on Monday.

The bad: The poison ivy that I have been battling for the last 5 weeks has flared up as soon as I tapered off the steroids.

The depressing: The doctor put me back on steroids for another 3 weeks. I was so hoping not to have to take them again; ever. I gained 14 pounds on my last round of treatment.:sad2:

Keep your fingers crossed everyone that I can keep anymore weight from creeping on in the next 3 weeks. I'm being realistic and not hoping for a loss. I'll be happy if I can just maintain right now.

Hope everyone is doing well this week! Remember, drink your water!:drinking:

{{{HUGS}}}} to all who are struggling and congrats to the losers. It seems since school got out that it is harder for me to get computer time, so I feel a bit neglectful of our thread.

Has been a horrible week here, eating wise great, health-wise horrible. I had a severe allergic reaction to an antibiotic I was taking for an infection I got on vacation last week and a co-worker had to rush me to the ER on Tuesday. After getting things under control and being released I was given steriods :scared1: to stop the affects of the antibiotic only to have a horrible reaction to the steriods and back to the medical facility!!! This afternoon is the first I am feeling like my old self again....but extremely fatigued! The good news early in the week is that I lost the weight I gained on vacation, the bad is that the steriods put 2 pounds on my body after three doses. :scared1: I am set to weigh in for the month tomorrow morning because they were closed on July 4th and I am nervous about what the scale will show.

I hope everyone else is doing well. Onward and downward.

Down 1.8 tonight:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I'm down a total of 12.4 I have 3 weeks left to get to my goal of 20lbs before vacation

mousemgr2 - good luck on the steroids -- you too tigerlover. I would have to think that the weightgain from the meds would come of quicker then a real eating weight gain as it's a false weight?

I weighed in today and I was down 1.8 lbs also for a total of 25 lbs to date.

Quick funny story... I had a Dr. appointment last Saturday and I hadn't been in about 8 weeks (I go quite often for a watch on a health issue). Anyway they always weigh you so I step on the scale and naturally it' way (that shoudl be WEIGH) less then 8 weeks ago. The girl goes.... "this darn scale I can never get it to work...." I told the the scale works just fine, just keep moving it down to you get to the right #. Felt real good to say that. Dr. was pleased, as a reward I get to o back in 6 weeks this time so he can see how my weight loss is going LOL

I didn't track yesterday. :guilty: I was not on the computer at all yesterday. I worked then relaxed watching tv in the evening.

Today is going better and my hunger I've been dealing with all week seems to be good. I did get more water this morning though. Because of my going over most of the week I'm scared to weigh in on Monday morning. It will be worth it though even if I gained because I'll do better next week. Also it should be better with hunger seems to be my usual pattern the week TOM I have a lot more hunger issues. Now the bloating stuff is going to kick in.

mousemgr2 ,
My aunt is on steroids all the time for Lupus and says she puts on fast if she isn't careful. So yeah those steroids can really make you put on weight. Congrats on the loss. :):woohoo:

MaryAnne,
Great job on the 25 lbs. :):thumbsup2

memy,
Yahy for the 1.8 loss.
