WW Weekly Weigh In--- Part 2

Hi everyone :)
so i weighed in this morning..down .8! not much but i will take it for sure!

have a great day everyone!

I weigh in at home on Fridays ( WW online)....lost 2 lbs. this week and 3 last week..for a total of 5 lbs so far in May. I've been doing the Leslie Sansone walk away the weight ( 3 mi.) every night and stepped up my pts. and protein. After two weeks of just maintaining......it's nice to finally figure out what works for me. Good luck all and happy pt. counting.:thumbsup2

ack!! My coworkers just made me go to Chipotle! SUPPOSEDLY I just had 8 points, but I don't know....

I had lettuce, black beans, tomato salsa, corn salsa, and guacamole...

this is the first time I've been 'out to eat' on the WW diet.... kinda intimidating!!

I better do some of this today --> :yay: I presume!!

This thread is hopping. I wish I had time to respond to everyone, but I need to go to work. I just weighed in after my first week on core, and lost 2.8 pounds. I am thrilled, and it was much easier to stay on program than I thought it would be.

I was surprised to find that I used my flex points for rice one night, and pasta in soup another day, not just for fiberone bars and ice cream.

Tiggerlover-glad you enjoyed the potluck, but you are right, it is only one day, and the other 6 days on track will counter act it.

:cheer2:

Congratulations, Kathy!!! I know you must be thrilled. I can't say it enough, but Core is the bomb. It is funny that so many of us stay away from it because we are scared we can't do it, but so many have tried it lately with good success.

You know, if you use brown rice and whole grain pasta you do not have to count points, it is Core? Makes a big difference. I have discovered that I like the Minute Made instant brown rice in the single serving container, it makes one portion for me and it takes 1 minute in the microwave, very convenient especially if I want to take it to work.

Confession time, it was actually two days out of seven that I fell off the wagon, potluck day and leftover day the day after. But the rest of the week balanced me out because I still had a loss on Core.....see next post.

Keep up the good work my friend, I am so happy for you!:woohoo:

Core, Week 5

Week #1: 3.8
Week #2: 0
Week #3: 0
Week #4: .6
Week #5: .4 (Not bad after falling off the wagon for 2 days).

Total: 4.8 pounds

I've been off the wagon the past two days, but in the other direction! I've had strep  and simply haven't felt like eating! My throat has been SO sore! I'm finally feeling better today--guess the antibiotics are kicking in. I just hope my body doesn't think it's starved and hold onto everything I eat this weekend!

MA Pigeletfan and wezee, congratulations to you both of your losses this week!!!

toledo13, it can be kind of intimidating, but all we can do it make our best possible choices. If we stray that we hold ourselves accountable and move on, if we make good choices we will see it in the end. I have to say it does get easier with time.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I am happy to report that at WI last night I lost 4 pounds. I am so surprised. I thought for sure that there was going to be a gain.
.
:woohoo: good for you! 4 lbs is amazing!

cepmom, I was exactly the same way, that is why I stayed away from core for so long! It is hard to explain, but it works. The first week I tried tracking my points, but following core and it worked out well once I got the hang of it. But as long as you are making the healthier core choices it seems to work. And you are right, lifetimers lose their access to eTools. (I encourage you to go to the WW website and go to contact and email them about that. I email them once a month to complain about losing eTools at lifetime with the hopes that if enough people complain about how unfair it is that they will do something. My thinking is that I have spent hundreds of dollars to lose weight and get healthy with WW and now that I have gotten there and have achieved lifetime they want to take away one of the very tools that has assisted me in getting to lifetime). Okay....off of my soapbox now.

I also think it's ridiculous that we lose e-tools once we reach Lifetime status...I will email WW and let them know how I feel....maybe it will change but somehow I doubt it :sad2:

:woohoo: great job! It's frustrating to try and figure out what works best for you...I remember struggling with it for several weeks then everything just sort of clicked. My friend is going through this now...she reached Lifetime last year, but then got pregnant and had a baby. She is back at WW and not losing as quickly as she did last year. I keep telling her her body has changed and things are different now...she is doing the same things she was doing last year which worked then, but it isn't working (as well) this time. She needs to find out what works for her now and she's really frustrated. Hopefully it will click for her soon!

I still find eating some what intimidating, but it does get easier as you go out more often. In the begininng I was so afraid to eat out. I don't think I ate out for th first 2 or 3 mnths on WW! It sounds like you made good choices so I'm sure you'll be fine!

 glad you are feeling better now. Nothing worse than strep :sad2:

:cool1: Yay!! I am so glad Core is working well for you!! Still on the fence and doing well with counting and journaling this week, but I am seriously considering Core after reading about everyone's recent success! Great job!

:woohoo: great job!!!! Are you still trying to lose weight or are you trying to maintain? I find maintaining very difficult. I am either gaining or losing....never stay the same from week to week

Weekly weigh in update. Well I broke my foot so I skipped a week at the weigh in, but went back this week and still lost 2lbs for the last 2 weeks even though I was a total couch potato with my broken foot. Back on my feet but I'm happy with small victories!

I'm weighing in on Monday-- I'm not too excited this week- scared I didn't lose anything. We'll see. I'm thinking of switching from FLEX to CORE. Has anyone made this switch before?? My DH is going to stay on FLEX for now (routine is good for him  ) but I eat so much off of the CORE list I figure, why not?!

For those of you on the CORE plan, here's my question-- is reduced calorie wheat bread still 1 point (of the 35) or is the point value inflated? It doesn't seem TOO different from the flex plan... has anyone made the switched and it worked better for them

I started weight watchers at work 10 weeks ago. I've lost a whopping 5 lbs. I'm still hanging on though. Thankfully it only costs me $25 for a 12 weeks session. If it were more I'm afraid I would use $ as an excuse to quit.

My weigh in day is monday. I find it hard to weigh in right after the weekend. Does anyone else have this problem?

I hope everyone has a good week!!

Sorry about your foot but you did a great job sticking with the program. 2 pounds is great.

I'm sure when tiggerlover sees your post she will be able to give you great advice. She switched about a month ago and is doing great on Core. Good luck.

Keep with it Susan. I know weighing in on a Monday would not be my first choice. My weigh in is Wednesday and I feel it gives me a few extra days to get anything off I might have gained from the weekend.

I went to an Engagement Party for my niece last night. So much food to be had but I did great staying on program. I guess I learned a thing or two from my meetings. Instead of just taking a plate and going through the buffet line I checked all my food choices first then tried to pick a few of the lesser calorie options. It was a good feeling knowing I didn't blow it (which would have been so easy to do). Have a great weekend everybody.

Sorry to hear that you are not feeling well, I hope you get better real soon.:grouphug:

You are probably right, but I figure I have to give it a try (every month) and maybe, just maybe, if they get enough complaints they may revise it in some way. It is selfish on my part because I really want it, but on the other hand if it gets them to make changes it will benefit so many people. :)

I am trying to maintain, but I would also love to lose another 3 pounds so I can be 5 pounds under goal instead of just 2......I really want that cushion. But I am not really trying too hard as I do not feel like I am sacrificing anything, so I guess you can say I am maintaining and if I lose anything it is a bonus, maybe that is why the numbers are so low.

Sorry to hear that you broke your foot, I can't even imagine how painful that is. However, congratulations on losing two pounds....do you have a cast...if so you probably lost even more than the 2#!

I hope everyone has a good week!!

It is very hard to weigh after a weekend, that is why I changed my weigh day to before the weekend (I used to weigh on Tuesday, now I weigh on Friday-officially), unofficially I weigh on Saturday mornings. Be proud of the weight you have lost, any loss should be celebrated.

Have you talked to your leader and showed her your journal? She should be able to look at your journal and advise you if there is something more you could be doing. If you are really close to goal weight than the weight comes off a lot slower, so there could be many things that could attribute to slow losing, just have a side chat with your leader and she should be able to guide you.

Grumpy's Wife, good for you for staying on plan in a challenging situtation, that is awesome!!!

toledo13, several of us have switched from flex to core, if you go back a few pages you should see some of our conversations about it. I had been doing flex for years and switched to core 5 weeks ago and I love it. And yes, the point would still be 1 point on core. Sorry to be brief, but I didn't realize the time and I need to hit the shower.

Have a great Sunday everyone!!

i am the slowest loser in the world..so i def. relate to losing 5 lbs in 10 weeks..but then if you think about it..its the healthy way to do it and the weight is coming off :)
I do not go to meetings anymore, I do WW on my own now but when i did my meeting was on Tues nights and I did find it more difficult than if they were on Thursdays or Fridays..I do like that weekend "Buffer". Especially this time of year with all the cookouts and graduations/weddings!

Lost .9 pounds this week! Not great... but it's still a loss. Switching from Flex to Core this week- everyone I've talked to says it's better, so I"m taking their word for it!! :confused3 :woohoo:

Congrats on losing .9! That beats gaining it!! :thumbsup2

I have done the core plan and liked it. My WW leader suggests switching every once in a while. She says it helps break an plateau's.

Let us know how you do on it.
