WW Weekly Weigh In--- Part 2

Lost .9 pounds this week! Not great... but it's still a loss. Switching from Flex to Core this week- everyone I've talked to says it's better, so I"m taking their word for it!! :confused3 :woohoo:

Congrats on the loss and good luck on Core, you will have to let us know how it works for you!!

My leader told me a good way to determine how to determine how many servings of fruits each fruit counts for. (My question was how many fruit servings are in 8 oz of orange juice.) Her answer was you count each fruit point as one serving. So if you eat a 2 point banana, it is counted as 2 fruit servings.

I was counting a 2 point banana as one fruit serving. No wonder I was having so much trouble getting in all 5 servings of fruits/vegetables.

Hope this helps anyone that was as confused as I was.:confused3

Hi, can I join in? I have been doing WW online now for 4 weeks. My Mom & sister are going to the meetings. So we obsess over everything points. I have WI on Mondays because it keeps me honest over the weekend. So far I have lost 11.7 since April 28th. :cool1: I have about 95 lbs to lose. I'd like to have 50 of them gone before we go back to WDW in March.

:welcome: Congratulations on your lose to date, that is terrific! It is nice that you have a built in support group with your family. With their support and the support of WISH I am sure you will be nothing but successful.

mousemgr2, thanks for the tip!

I keep finding more and more threads and forums that I want to be part of!!
Woohoo!!!!
This one is PERFECT, and right up my alley.

Hi!!! My name is Wife2grumpy and I am a Weight Watcher.
I started in January of 2007. 16 months so far.
It was a life choice that I made. I am determined to keep going no matter how
long it takes for me to reach goal, lifetime, and FREE meetings. Then I will
continue going to free meetings for the rest of my life. It is my support, my
accountability, and I need it.

The details:
Started at 255 (I am 5'5")
When I started I think I got like 31 or 32 points per day.
I am now 193. (62 lbs. gone FOREVER!!)
And I get 24 points per day.

Over halfway there now!!! Woohoo!!!!

My goal is to be 150.
That puts me into a healthy BMI.
I would like to drop a little past that, but I know that I need to be able to
maintain that level. So, my ultimate goal is still unknown.

I weigh in on Saturday mornings. As of last Saturday I was 193.8.
I wanted to be 190 before our trip in 12 days. That lovely TOM will be
starting Wednesday, so I am not sure if I can realistically take off that 3.8
in 12 days. But that is not going to stop me from trying.

I walked into my first weight watchers meeting in years today. Strange how you know it's something you should do and somehow never do and then all of a sudden a light goes off in your head and you just do it.

I've got a lot to lose but so far I've made it almost through day one! One meal, one day at at time.

I have one question. I paid for the "monthly pass" that you can use the online site for also. However when I put in my number that they gave me at the meeting they are asking me to fill out my credit card # again. I'm a little uncomfortable doing that again, as I already paid for the month today. If anyone has any comments on that, I'd appreciate it. I have to admit the girl (woman) at the desk really didn't seem to know what she was doing.

I'm going in search of a weight loss ticker but I hope to be back to this thread for some encouragement over the next few weeks/months.

thanks for the kinds words, I'm not in a cast, just a foot brace, so I was able to weigh in without it. But I'm back up and around so hopefully I'll be keeping up with the loss, I'm hoping to hit 40lbs this week. I'm crossing my fingers!

:welcome::welcome::welcome: A a great big :woohoo: for your total weight loss and welcome into Onederland! I read your post and I hear myself in your words and I just feel in my bones that we will be celebrating your making lifetime in the future. It sounds like you have a positive attitude and a winning spirit and that will take you where you want to be. It is great that you are open for your final goal because what I learned doing this more than once is that you have to go where you are comfortable and where you can maintain, which sometimes you can't determine until you get there. Best of luck to you on your continued journey.

I have to agree with that lightbulb moment, when my lightbulb went off I wondered why it had taken me so long!

I am not sure about why your monthly pass # isn't giving you access. I would try again tomorrow in case there is a lag time, but if it still doesn't work I would call the 800# to get assistance.

:welcome: to WW and :welcome to our thread, I think you will like it here as there are so many people at different stages of their journey here to help you with yours. :)

Glad to hear you are back on your feet and that you were able to weigh without the brace. I am so anal about my weigh in's that I always wear the same clothes...right down to my underclothes!!

Yay! Down a pound today. Hope everyone has a good week. . .I'm counting down the days: 7 more days of school! These first graders are READY to get out, let me tell you! I'm like this :scared1: by the end of the day!!!

Good for you, one pound closer to your goal.

18 more days of school here in VA, hard to believe the school year is almost over!! I know my son is looking forward to the break, sure wish I was off on break too!!!

I joined on 5/1, also with the monthly pass. My leader informed me when I signed up at the meeting that I would need to re-enter my cc info when I signed up for the online portion. I entered mine in and to date haven't had any trouble with it (wasn't charged twice or anything)

I hope that this helps you out a little and good luck.

Welcome Wife2Grumpy. I feel like we are related because of our user names. Half way to goal is awesome. What an accomplishment you've done so far. Keep up the great work.

Mary Anne welcome to our group. I think when I joined with the monthly pass I had to put the credit card number in too. So you are really paying for two months up front then they will charged your card accordinly after that.

Thank you so much Grumpy's wife! I will follow your advice and do that this evening.

We're off to breakfast now but I've already got my food picked out including points.

Off to day 2 on the plan.

Hello all, and thanks for the kind words.

Monthly Pass:
You do have to re-enter it. The stuff you did in the original meeting I think was
just for the first month. The info you enter online will get it going for the
automatic monthly withdrawal. Your next months payment will come out like
two weeks before your original sign up date. (My original sign up date was on
the 8th of the month. My monthly withdrawal comes out about the 25th or 26.)
They this so they can mail you your new monthly path each month and you will
get it in time before your current monthly pass expires.

I use all the E-tools info and LOVE it.

Hello everyone, and a big :welcome: to all the newcomers.

I'm still doing core, but went away for the weekend, and didn't follow it for the two days, but got right back on track monday, so we'll see how the scale likes it on friday. Sunday, I didn't actually eat too badly, but I was not following core. In the past, I've found that even if I go crazy for one day, as long as I get right back on track, I'll be ok on the scale.

Wife2Grumpy - Congratulations on your loss so far!! 62 pounds is fabulous, and it is such a great feeling to get below 200 again. :thumbsup2

Mary Anne - Congrats on taking that first step and joining ww. It is a great program. It is amazing how many times we can try, and one day we are ready. Good luck!!

DizneeMommy-Whoo hoo!!:thumbsup2 Congrats on your loss.

ScuttleMeTimbers- Hope your foot is feeling better, and good luck hitting that 40# mark this week!! You can do it!!

mousemgr2- Welcome and congrats on your loss to date. 5 pounds is 5 pounds and should be celebrated. I am a very slow loser too, but this time, I won'd give up, and eventually all the wieght will come off. Good luck.

Toledo13- Hope core is working well for you. I am amazed how easy it is after doing flex for so long, and thinking I would never be able to do core. It definitely takes a little more planning, and cooking, but I should be doing that anyway. Good luck.

tiggerlover and cepmom- Thanks for the support as always. You guys are the greatest.

Sorry if i missed anyone. Keep up the good work, one and all!! We can do this!!!:cheer2:

Hello all and :welcome: to all that have joined up. I've had a busy week, between field trips and parties. I weighed in this morning and lost .4lbs! I really thought I gained this week. I guess going to the zoo twice in 5 days helped. I haven't been able to stay for the meetings the past three weeks and I wasn't motivated at all. I'm so glad I stayed today. It keeps me motivated to keep going. WW isn't lying when they say staying makes a difference. I still like the core. I'm only losing a small amount a week, but I'm going the right way. Congrats to all the losers! To all who didn't, just keep at it, it does work! I've been doing this since Feb 7,2007 and it's been slow, but it is working!! :jumping1: Good luck in the next week and have a wonderful Memorial Day!!!:goodvibes
