WW general discussions

WI Friday is coming up quickly for me. We went to Cheesecake Factory after WI last Friday. I certainly did better than I would have in the past but I could have done much better. Last night we went to an authentic Italian restaurant. Same thing...Did better than in the past but could have done better. It sure was delicious though!

I have been trying to hit my 10% goal (22 lbs) the last couple of weeks. Not sure it will come this week. Who knows though...I could be pleasantly surprised. There have been weeks when I was sure I gained but ended up losing & vice-versa.

How'd ya do???

I am down 1.2, so 11.4 now :cool1:

The weather is broken, so we can get out more too

WI was this morning. I am down another 2 lbs this week, putting me at about 20.5 lbs gone since the end of Feb.! I would like to lose another 5 before we leave for WDW in a couple weeks. 25.5 lbs has been my goal to achieve before our trip since I started this weight loss journey. I think I can make it or I will get pretty close anyway...I hope! Unfortunately, I know that I may gain the 5 back while at WDW but it's vacation and I plan to live it up. I will just have to really work hard when I get back. I think it will be worth it.

Everyone seems to be doing so well on here. Congrats to all of you who are trying hard and watching the weight come off! I know I feel tons better now that I'm getting rid of some of the excess weight.

I did it  ! I lost another pound for a total of 22.8 lbs gone. I got my 10% keychain too. I want to lose about 40 more to be at 160. It has been YEARS since I last saw myself at 160 so I don't know if I will want to stop there or keep going. I figure it is a good starting goal though.

I'm going to have some challenging times coming up....

We leave a week from Thursday for a Disney cruise. This will be # 5 so atleast I know what to expect.

We are heading to Tampa later in the month of May for a baseball tournament. The room we will be staying in has a kitchen. That will allow me to purchase some groceries and take a cooler of "good" stuff to the ballpark with me.

In mid-June, DD13 and I will be going to NYC for 5 days. I think this trip will be my biggest challenge.

At the end of June we will be heading to Panama City Beach for another baseball tournament. Again - the room will have a kitchen so I can find a grocery store in the area & stock up on the stuff I need to stay OP.

Hope everyone else is having a good week and good weigh ins!

Crazy busy! Trip is in 12 days, pulling out summer clothes and all that!

Gotta try on clothes later and see what fits! At WI today I was down 2.4

Hope you all are hanging in there too!

I am back from my trip and it went great! I did well eating and when I had a treat, I did it with a smile! We walked for 14 hrs each day. We park hopped everyday and did the countries twice :cool1:

I found a trick. I split meals with my DD. So I got the salad, she the chicken sandwich or burger and we split it all so it wasn't so bad, I also only ate a couple fries. We got fruit a lot too. In the am we split a muffin and got fruit. I did enjoy a sundea the last day! Frozen latte or cappacino's to cool off.

I missed my exercise routine, am so glad to be back on track today.

I had gotten into the really bad habit of overeating on WI day and not counting the points. I started my new journal the next day and had already weighed in with the last journal so it didn't matter, right? I still lost weight but it made me feel so bad about myself that I had no control over food still. So yesterday I decided it didn't matter if it was WI day. I followed the program, journaled the points and went on with my day. I feel so much better about myself today! I know quite a few ladies that do this as well, so if you're one of them--try not to do it this week and see if you feel a difference.

BTW, by overeating I don't mean a complete pig-out--maybe pizza for lunch, a cookie here and there if they were open, a handful of chips maybe. I definitely wasn't drinking my milk and eating my fruits and veggies.

Just wanted to share.

I have been guilty of that myself :guilty: Recognizing bad habits then working to eliminate them has been quite an eye-opening experience for me. I have to maintain constant vigilance or those nasty little habits creep right back in on me. :scared: Now I only buy cookies I don't like and chips in the small lunch-box sized bags. They may cost more that way, but better to spend extra $$ on them than for me to "snitch" my way thru a big bag of Tostitos just 'cause they're there! :rolleyes1

Good job on getting this out for yourself. I am a Sat WI, now most people at my meeting say Sat night is their night to use some on those weekly 35 pts. Thats fine as long as you count everything.

I actually go in the am, after my coffee, so I haven't started my book for the week yet. I get the new book at the meeting and start then. Not sure how you have talked yourself into that old habit :goodvibes but making sure you right everything down will put it to an end.

Great job bringing this up!!

hello all!
i just had my first week OP with WW and lost 3.2 lbs..woohoo! and that was without any exercise ( i know..bad me...will remedy that!) and using all of my flex pts for the week...
my question is..does anyone here use all of the alloted 35 flex pts on a regular basis or no? i find them to be fantastic for weeks when you know you have to go out and celebrate ( graduations..b days like tonight!)...

Yep I use them, not all the time but when I need to. Also you get pts for exercising. If you want to not use the 35, thats ok, but you should use the exercise pts.

I love the program :cool1:

YAY! Down 2.6 this week. Vacation lbs gone and 1.0 on top of that

I am loving the weather being so great for my walks, life is good!

Any one else had a rough weekend celebrating with barbecues, etc? I've had ice cream, bagels, chips. At least the chocolate covered strawberries were fruit, right? My hubby and I were doing extensive yard work this weekend--at least 9 hours of hard labor so hopefully that will help with WI on Friday. Not looking forward to that at all.:scared1:
