WW general discussions

Me too! :goodvibes If I don't have to "check in" with someone on a regular basis, well...I'm much more "relaxed" about what I eat. :rolleyes1

I have to admit, I thought about everything I ate today after posting last night!! I stayed within my points too!!

I did make a big mistake this week tho, I ate too less. LOL I NEVER though I would be told to eat MORE!! LOL But with the exercising I should be eating more points and I didn't, I also didn't use any of my extra 35 weekly points and I really messed up but not eating all my regular points 5 of the days. I don't know why, I just didn't. So this is all a lesson, live and learn and do better next time is how I think of it.

I've been in that exact same boat! I was *stuck* and not losing weight for a good 3+ weeks. When the trainer at the gym looked at my food journal she told me to eat 2-3 more points per day (quality food, of course ;) ). Just those few extra points made a HUGE difference for me. Amazing isn't it? Very much not what I expected. My body no longer sensed starvation and was able to let go of the "excess" it was holding. Now I'm soooooo close to my goal can almost taste it (...hmmm....it would be a 0 point taste, wouldn't it???? )

WOW you guys have really motivated me!!! Hope I can jump in here and join you, a little late. I have a couple questions, how many points is hummus? What do you do when you go out to eat? Also, I am deciding between joining WW online or going to meetings....what do you think?

I am glad to hear your story. I am eating more this week so we will see how it goes for me. I really am focused on 6 months from now, rather than week to week. With all the cahnges I have made, 6 months should be a good target for now. It keeps me from over caring about the week to week WI.

You are certainly welcome here!!

Lets see, hummus is higher in points than I thought... it is

When I go out to eat, I usually know ahead of time and eat lite so I can get what I want. I use points saved from the weekly extra is need be. Or if you exercise, you get more points there too.

They say people who do meeting lose more. I like the meetings, the stories inspire me, we share food ideas, I love that I have to WI there and be accountable! My leader also email us each week, encouraging and recipes and stuff and that is cool too. I do monthly so it is 9.22 a week and I get etools on their site. They have cool stuff there, a message board and lots of info... weight graph and all kinds of things for you to use.

I feel like I am a WW sales person LOL but its just that is works so well and teaches you lifetime habbits. :thumbsup2

Let us know what you choose!

Hi

Hummus is 3 points for 1/4 cup, it sounds like alot for a little but it really fills you up. I like it.

How's everyone's plans for Easter coming along? I hope I can get through the day within my points but it will be tough.

We are having Prime Rib I haven't even looked up the points yet because I know it will be high. I might just have a few bites and fill up on veggies.

Any good dessert ideas?

Talk to you all soon:goodvibes

i LOVE hummus! try it with some naan, it's delicious!

i've been eating a nice dinner after i go to the gym and i think it's been helping me lose weight. so far this week i've lost a lb (off the record though... we'll see how weigh in on monday goes).

i'm going to be really good this weekend food wise. it's my boyfriend's birthday today and i had a little bit of cake last night, but literally 2 spoonfuls made me sick (i was too full from dinner) and i couldn't eat any more. i'm lucky that my boyfriend's step-mom is on ww too, so she makes more healthy options for get togethers!

I'd love to join this thread. I started WW on March 13th and have lost 8.2 pounds so far. I did WW over 15 years ago and lost 30 pounds; unfortunately I put it all back on over the years so I have 35 to lose this time. :sad1:

For me, the weigh-ins are crucial. I HAVE to be held accountable; it's the only way for me to lose the weight. Journaling my food intake also helps because I can plan ahead better.

I don't know if these are available in the Midwest or on the East Coast, but if you love bagels, these are WONDERFUL. They are worth only 1 point for a whole bagel and taste like the "real" thing. http://www.westernbagel.com/alternativebagelonline.asp

Good luck to everyone in your weight loss endeavors!! :goodvibes

I found a meeting in my area that is the perfect time for my schedual. Unfortunately it is on friday and I missed it. Can I sign up at a monday or tuesday meeting and still go on friday? I don't want to wait a week.

This may sound really horrible of me - but I was hoping to be able to avoid the Easter family *gathering* all together. :rolleyes1 My boys have been sick (big-time bummer for them... ) but now are feeling much better (bummer for ME  ) Oh well. Glad the kids are on the mend, even if it does mean facing my family and a table full of "no-no's". I'm not too worried about over-eating....being with my extended family in the same house for a whole day does NOTHING for my appetite. :sad2:

You can go to as any meetings as you want per week. You WI once, which day you want but only once.

LOL don't I know it! Thanks god my DH's family is ALL great! Mine, well, they are a handful. We usually do my SIL's and its great, but this year we decided to make brunch here with just us :goodvibes My son is 22 and out on his own, but he plans on coming too so it will be just us :goodvibes :goodvibes I haven't been with just my kids and DH in years. Hoping it is a great day for us.

I also can't wait for brunch!! My fav meal is breakfast!! I have plenty of points so I will be fine. Good thing I exercise!

Well I gained 2lbs!! It is TOM and I am not eating my exercise points I did eat more this week, some of the 35, but man is it a lot to eat. Fat to muscle too, all these things are messing me up from knowing what my body wants. So frustrating! But I will be OK, it will not stop me!

Happy Easter everyone!!!!!!

I hope everyone has survived their Easter celebrations....I did o.k....moderation - that was my word of the day! :goodvibes Tomorrow it's right back on track for me! :goodvibes

Hi all! I did OK too. We just did breakfast so it was easy. Hope you all had a good day!

How do I know how many points I should take in? I live in a verrry rural area, and we don't have WW meetings near us, but I've been buying the meals, having those for lunch/dinner, and just drinking protein or having eggs for bfast. A glass of wine at night, and maybe a WW carrotcake (yummy!!) a day. I'm losing soo slowly! I'd like to make sure I'm getting enough food, or maybe I just need to add some exercise. Don't know, and would appreciate even just a link to more info.

Thanks so much, you're all inspiring.

Thanks for the welcome, Miss Missy.

Mabenoab, if you go to the WW website (http://www.weightwatchers.com) there are online resources that you can use to find your points if you are planning on doing the Flex Plan. You can also track your weight loss progress there, get recipes, and so much more.

Good luck!!

As for me, no weight loss this weekend. But no gain either!!! I had two glasses of wine yesterday but no Easter candy. Weigh-in is tomorrow, so today is my "be very good" day.

Happy Monday to everyone. :goodvibes

Lost 2 pounds - yay!!! I love this program.

love to join this thread, I join ww yesterday and have 20 pounds to go. I hope this program will work for me....
