I started 2-24-07. Was successful back in 1997 and kept off 30 of those lbs since.

Anyone want to chat about the program? Give helpful hints and things you may have learned while on it?

My helpful hint is how much using the food journal works for me. I carry my weekly journal with me and write down what I eat right away. I find if I do not, I forget and that messes up the points.

I would like to hear about what works for others. Join in and speak up!!

This program, the points system, and eercising is working so well for me :cool1: :cool1:

I love the online tools, but the message boards are just OK, nothing like here! :)

I found that if I have a big breakfast like eggwhites with veggies I full for most of the morning. I also go to the pool 4 times a week and do either water areobics or deep water walking because I have knee and ankles problems. I also find that journaling is very important.

Hi

I'd loved to join in, I have tried everything:confused3 and here I am again, Sunday night saying. I will start Monday (which I am) Weight Watchers seems the best for most people. I going to count points. Do you count points or do core diet ?

How much do you all want to lose? I'd love to lose 25 by the summer.:goodvibes

I'm one week into WW.. back after re-gaining 14lbs... It's the only thing that works for me.. I had WI this morning & lost 3.6lbs. I have 29lbs until goal.

I do Flex, but journaling keeps me honest!

Started WW in September of 2002 and by May of 2004 I had lost 60 pounds. Had some major life changes and in the span of two years gained back 24 pounds. Hated the way I felt and looked and rejoined WW August of 2006 and to date have lost 22 of the 24 pounds. I am .4 away from my WW goal and 2.4 away from being where I was in 2004.

Journaling, drinking your water and accounting for every morsel, lick or bite that goes into your mouth is key for me. I didn't realize what a big taster I was when I was cooking and baking until I started being accountable for it. WW is all about choices and you can make good choices and eat foods that most diets say are taboo and I feel this helps to make the program a success.

That's so very true for me as well! :rolleyes1

My strategy is to eat 6 times a day - 3 meals, 3 snacks. I divide my daily points allowance into thirds, so that I eat 1/3 of my points in each one of my "meal/snacK combos" (Did I just make any sense, because that seems 'bout clear as mud to me right now!:confused3 ) :goodvibes

Anyway....it works for me!

I use the points system. They say people lose more doing meeting rather than doing it on your own. I know that weekly scale weigh in keeps me in line!

I am not sure what I want to lose... but so far I am at 9lbs in 1 month. I had a 2.6 loss this week

I have lost 10 pounds since January 1. I really need to up my water intake. I love water, but I hate having to use the restroom at work. Totally grosses me out- and I am not a germ freak. They are just usually so nasty.

Wow Miss Missy 9 lbs in 1 month is great. It is Mon Morn and I am about to give it my all. That's for this thread. I think it will really be helpful and keep me on track.

Have a good day all - will check back later. :goodvibes

Not to be gross, but work those thigh muscles by squatting, this way you don't ever have to touch the seat. I am a germ freak too, but couldn't live without visiting the bathroom several times a day.

squatter here too! have ALWAYS been one. I can go in, pee and wash up and get out without touching a thing! Use tissue or paper towels to open and close doors and turn on water, I always come out of a br with aa paper napkin in my hand LOL

I'm doing the points too, it's so easy! Even though I do get hungry sometimes. Let's talk snacks! I just "discovered" those yummy fiber-one bars, oats and chocolate...love them! and only 2 points. Love the fiber-one garlic & herb crackers too. Also all-bran cinammon/brown sugar squares, also 2 points.

Last week was not a good week for me...+3#s. :( But this week is going great plus my allergies are helping me not be hungry.:thumbsup2

I have a ww recipe for chicken in the crockpot now, smells yummy.

I always use a paper towel to open the door too.....there are just WAY too many germs in public facilities.

Speaking of snacks, has anyone tried the new Hostess 100 calorie packs? The chocolate cupcakes with cream are only 1 pt for 3 little cakes. The carrot cake and the yellow cupcakes are 2 pts for 3 little cakes each. They are yummy low point snacks.

those are awesome as little snacks! funny thing is my boyfriend will even eat them, yet he doesn't like most of the healthier foods i get.

i'm on flex. i don't trust myself enough now to do core. i want to lose 15 lbs by july hopefully. i joined a gym yesterday and so far have been faithful to my membership. i want to lose the weight.

Yep.. I've tasted them all, but the store only had one box of the yellow ones left (of course I bought them)... but I prefer the chocolate ones, both because I love chocolate & because they are only 1 pt! Yum!

I haven't tried the yellow cake Hostess yet, but will add it to the list. I am loving the $1 off coupons because I think they are a little pricey, but I will buy them with or without the coupons as they are that good.

I like them too. For snacks... I do a fruit and others I do a yogart w/ 2 tlb flax seed = 2 pts, I like ice cream, so I love the WW smart one frozen deserts 3=pts.

I am not a salt person, I like sweets.

Has anyone tried the english muffin pizza? 1 English muffin, WW or the light Thomas is 1 pts, the sauce 1 pt and fat free mozerella 1 pt, so its 3 pts total, bake it so it is cripsy, goes nice with a salad.
