Wrong Info on website??

Can anyone clarify what happened here . . .

When I logged onto the DVC website this morning and calculated my points for SSR Dec. 30, 2004 - Jan. 2, 2005 for a grand villa it said that I would need 259 points. When I called to make the reservation with member services they said that I would need 344 points. That is a significant difference. I told her about what the website said, and she seemed to just brush it off. I ended up getting a 2-bedroom and a studio, which is acceptable, but I would have much rather had the grand villa. Any ideas? Thanks!

I noticed the same problem when calculating a 2 bedroom for the same time period. I new it was wrong because I calculated it manually also.

Sorry you were dissapointed in not getting the GV.

From my experience, the online calculator does not have any points loaded for 2005, so any 2005 night is in as "0" points.

You're right that the Vacation calculator is out of whack and there's no way you would know it if you didn't double-check by hand.

MS is right that it should be 344 points but entering the dates into the "calculator" comes up with 259

It does not calculate the 2005 year points, it is misleading.
