I was looking at our plans on MDE for tomorrow and noticed our dinner reservation for 'Ohana was nowhere to be found. I called immediately as this is one of our favorite restaurants. Thankfully, I write down all our confirmation numbers. The agent on the phone said it was still showing up, so that's a relief. But what if you just assume MDE is correct and you forgot a reservation you made 6 months ago? Is Disney going to charge you $10 per person if you don't show up because of a glitch on their end?

I keep the email confirmations handy as well. I do a screen capture of my FP and any dining plans each day before heading out. Having the email handy is my back up plan.

Yes, yes and yes!!!

My son and his fiance were in Disneyland, had reservation at Naples Ristorante, arrived and of course it's not in the system. They told us and prepared to wait, they were already waiting for a good 20 minutes before I told them to show the host the email confirmation. Turned out the host has erred and the manager got them seated immediately and comped them $30 towards appetizers. Always keep your confirmations.

One of my ADRs has disappeared from MDE, too. I called the dining line to confirm it still exists and it does.

I can see easily missing an ADR because it's not listed in plans anymore.

Oh, that mysterious MDE.

I keep my ADR number as well. However, the 2 times the hosts have been unable to find it either on the system or on a paper master list, they have refused to look at my number and resorted to their own recovery process. After an additional 30 mins wait, I was seated. While I still have the ADR number with me, it may be of limited use when CMs refuse to look at it and must follow their own protocol.

I always keep a copy of all the ADR numbers on a google doc.
I has helped twice when they couldn't find our ADR.
They did look up the number I gave them. Still no eplaination how it vanished, but we got seated quickly.

I write them all down and on our 1st trip in 2006 it paid off. We went to the Crystal Palace and they asked if we had an ADR and I said yes. Fast forward 5 minutes and they asked for the number. I gave it and another 5 minutes or so later they tell me they cant find it. Guest Services got involved and we ended up eating at Tony's. When we got back to the hotel at POR there was a note to see the manager. I went and was asked when we wanted to eat at Crystal Palace. The seater made a mistake and we were in the system. I explained that we were on the normal dining plan and the girl did not want to cancel anything just to eat there now and the manager explained it was on Disney. Gave me the same lunch time we had and apologized. My daughter was only 5 then and all she remembers it the large stuffed Pooh that also got delivered to us that morning.

I have had this happen several times. I do a screen shot of all ADR showing reservation # with date & time. They have always honors it even if they don’t show it. If someone doesn’t honor that you should ask for mgr. Disney has software glitches but when I’ve seen this in advance if called guest services & it has on their system. Special events I print reservations just Incase.

We’ve had this happen at BOG and CP. Although screenshots and spreadsheets are helpful to have, the adr system documents the exact date/time a reservation is cancelled, so it is at their discretion to honor it.

Yes all of the above!

I keep a daily itinerary and a spreadsheet of all ADRs, park times, event tickets etc.... My kids loved to read "the next day" every night before going to sleep while we were at Disney. Sad ripping off each page each night, then having that one piece of paper in your hand at the end with flight information :(

I save the email confirmation, but writing them down is a great idea - in case I can't get into my email for some reason ...

We recently dined at a couple of places that had no record of our reservations, even with me pulling it up on MDE! Thankfully both were apologetic, and said the system was giving them issues, so we were seated quickly.

Though MDE actually was behaving and I could pull it up there, I also keep all the emails in a folder in my email box just in case it disappears there, too.

I do the screenshot thing and then I create a photo album for each day of the trip. Easy to pull up just that day instead of having to flick through all the pictures.

Don't really get this. You can just pull up the confirmation email on your phone if needed. As for making a spreadsheet of park hours, ADRs, fast passes, etc...the app does that for you already.
