Wristlet allowed on big rides or have to store?

They let you wear them depending on the ride , HOWEVER...I would not and make sure I had a strap for them.We saw not 1, but 2 different people lose glasses on the Mummy ride.

I have the Overland Equipment Pixley and Baylis. I wear them as a shoulder bag while walking around the park. They have a three prong clip so they can turn into a waist pack when I go on the rides.

You could try stuffing it down your pants. Loosen the belt one notch and you're set.

I went to Six Flags this past summer and H-A-T-E-D the no bag/wristlet rule. What are you supposed to do with phones and suncreen? I learned quickly why I saw so many people wearing cargo pants. I even saw some with old fashioned fishing/photographer cargo vests on (a bit over-the-top, I say).

Thank you to all for posting about the Kipling bag. It looks perfect! I am ordering one in black and will be using that PLUS cargo pants.

You were allowed to ride the Hulk, Dragon Challenge, Forbidden Journey, Rip Ride Rockit, Mummy and Men in Black without using the lockers?

If it is during really busy times, there can be a line up for the lockers since there is a kiosk for each block of them where you scan your fingerprint, etc.

I haven't been during what I think is a very busy time, but we haven't had bad experiences with the lockers. My "trick" is to head back back and further back. No one seems to realize that there are multiple kiosk/stations for the banks of lockers, and they go back (specifically thinking of MIB right now in my head). Everyone clumps at the easily visible kiosks. I just scootch to the back and find no line or a much shorter line.

And I try to not get a kiosk that is in full sunshine...that makes it hard for me to read, and also seems to mess up the touch screen.

OH! Use your knuckles, not your fingerpads, to go through the screens. For some reason it just works a million times better. Learned that from a Team Member when I was having problems!

And don't have a kid set the fingerprint. Their little fingers don't fill the pad and it can be a pain to get back into the lockers. You can get a TM to help, but why waste that time if you don't have to? It's an adult job, to set the fingerprint.

agree..I have seen people TRY to sneak things on and Universal TMs catch up to them and turn them back around and lead them to the lockers.

Ya, I think perhaps the poster just didn't ride the rides that required a locker or else they were referring to WDW again.

I have the Kipling multiple waist pack. It has a normal strap to wear it as a cross body and a separate 3 pronged strap to convert it to a waist pack. It works great.

Thanks for the tip on the Kipling bag. We just became AP holders this past weekend and I kept switching between my waist pack at the parks and my crossbody bag when we walked around City Walk. Now that we will be at Universal much more often this will be a perfect solution for me without having to keep switching bags.Just ordered an espresso one and it will be here in time for me to try it out on our next trip in 3 weeks.

Me too. I like the bag, I have it in black and dark blue. I can fit my phone and small p&s camera and it's not too bulky. It's my goto bag for Universal. Only thing I find that it gets hot when the weather is really hot.

I'll be using it this summer.

How quickly does the Kipling bag convert from crossbody to waist bag? I bought an inexpensive convertible bag for our last trip, and I found myself fumbling to shorten the strap for rides that allow only a waist bag. You unzip the two little zippers in the back and pull out the two halves of the belt (they are already attached to the sides of the bag). Then you just tuck the shoulder strap away inside another compartment and click the three pronged belt around your waist. So, about half a minute in total!

When you want to convert back, you unbuckle and then stick each side of the belt into its compartment and zip them up. Unzip the compartment for the shoulder strap and pull it out and throw the purse over your shoulder.

This photo gives you a good view of the purse showing both straps. The belt strap stays attached but tucks away when not in use. The shoulder strap can be detached or just tucked away too. The belt straps have a zippered compartment on each side that they slip into when not in use. You can see the zippers if you look at where the belt attaches to the bag.
