Would you sell a small BLT?

So I have points at VGF and honest for me it’s the only place we wish to stay at going forward. During Covid I made a low ball offer on a BLT contract, 50 points, same use year as my VGF contract and it was accepted. So I bought it for the great price and figured I could use it at the 7 month mark at VGF.
We just spent 9 nights at VGF and love it so much we want to add more points there. i have seen some difficulty getting a studio at VGF at the 7 month mark. However now with the new resort studios (which we just stayed in and love) I’m thinking it might ease up.
So it wouldn’t be a huge burden to keep the BLT and add to VGF but of course it would make it easier and could probably make a few bucks on the BLT contract (based on what I see them selling for). A fairly newbie here with DVC so I’m looking for some guidance.

If you want to add VGF, now is the time to do it. I don't see VGF going this low again. I'd sell and buy what you love. Maybe you're out some closing and some commissions. Not a huge deal IMO for getting the long term strategy right.

Personally, I would keep the BLT contract. You should have a decent chance at 7 months now that they added all of the new studios. It's also nice to have the option to use your BLT at 11 months. Our first DVC was VGF and we only stayed there for 4 or 5 years, now we own 3 resorts and like to alternate.

Personally, I've no idea why anyone wants to own anywhere but VGF. 😁

Nevermind that we added a 50pt. BWV resale a few months ago thinking we'd use it for SAP. We booked at BWV for next trip to try out our 2nd home, moving to first love VGF for the bulk of our stay.

So, what's DH talking about doing at 7 months out? Yup, you guessed it--modifying to add another night at VGF if we can.

THAT'S why I say sell it and buy more VGF points. Prevents frustration and hassle if you simply book where you know you really would rather be. (Which I tried to tell him we should do...)

Agree...sell it! Price it in that sweet spot and you'll be U/A in 24 hours and on your way to getting what you love.

We have been selling off random, small 2042 contracts and buying OKWE and AKV. When we were shopping during early covid (though we already had several contracts) we picked up some wild deals. To us it is like buying a car and selling when we don't love it anymore. We've done well on all so far!

Let us know what you do LOL! :flower1:

People are allowed to share the link to any broker or business they want to discuss. If it is filtered with ****, then they system did its job and not other info should be shared to guide people to it anyway.

For example I have used several brokers to sell but more recently used https://www.dvcresalemarket.com/?utm_source=wdwinfo
They were great. I have used www.dvcstore.com as well.
