or am i just being paranoid...i want a used 70-200 f4, found one for a decent( not super low but average/decent price, just so happens not a ton are online used right now) but no photo of it..emailed the guy and asked for a photo...he emailed back and said he doesn't have one but i can see the type of lens online...yeah since i want it i probably already know what it looks like,,,but wanted to see his lens before i send him money(:confused3 I know he has a camera, lens , computer and posts other photos so wouldn't you think he could take one.....?) he says he has a 7 day money back policy but hmmm is something fishy here????
he's not on ebay but in the classifeds of a photo site. he's sold some other stuff but no feedback available

If it were me I would avoid him. It's simple and easy to send someon a pic of what you're selling. Sounds like he either can't be bothered or somethings wrong with the lens.

Jann, personally I wouldn't. If buying a lens on-line, I would want to see pictures of the glass to make sure there was nothing horrendously wrong with it. Have you tried any of these places?

Fred Miranda - you might have to register at Fred Miranda, but it is a good site.

Good Luck!

ok, thanks, that is what i was thinking as well..
i have been checking the list of about 20 places i have saved ( including keh and fredmirandabut i 'll add the last one) that sell used lenses daily so eventually i will find one. i haven't ever bought any thing used online except ebay so i thought maybe i just didn't understand online buying protocol or something;)

You should always trust your intuition. If it doesn't feel right, don't do it.

Even if he sent you a picture of a 70-200 f4 what makes you sure it is the one he wants to sell you
