Hello,

We are goin to WDW in Oct. and I was thinking of spending a day or 2 at US and IOA. Is there a good amount of attractions for a 3 1/2 years old to go on. I havn't been to US since 1995 and would really like to try IOA but my wife dosen't think there is enough for our DD to make it worth while. When it comes to WDW I'm an old pro but a complete begginer at US and IOA.

Thanks for the help,
Frank

DD was 3 1/3 and 4 1/2 on our 2 trips to us/ioa. She had a great time on both trips. Really I think there is plenty for them to do, especially now that they have added Jimmy Nutron and Shrek to US. IOA has Seuss landing which is designed with preschool kids in mind. The Jurasic park play area is lots of fun and it is easy to follow a kid thorugh. US has plenty to offer the kids too, especially the Barney show and indoor play area

There are lots to do for a child that age. We went last April when my son was 3yo, we will be there for a couple of day trips next week (he's now 4yo) and will be back in April.

How tall is your son? Is he fairly adventerous or pretty timid? My son was 40" last visit and is now 42". He could go on a lot of rides last April and can do even more this year.

My nephew (nearly 4) liked:

Cat in the Hat (x 4)
One Fish 2 Fish
Carouseussel
If I ran the zoo
Flying Unicorn (x 8!)
meeting Spiderman

at IOA, and

BTTF (just got in)
Shrek
Jimmy Neutron (loved it)
Woody's nuthouse coaster
ET
Fievel's Playland (couldn't get him out!)
meeting Scooby Doo
being photographed with the shark
the shop that sold Dora the Explorer!

at USF

My 3 year old loves Universal and IOA as much as Disney. He is always asking to go back. He only gets upset when he is told by Mommy and Daddy that he can't ride the Hulk.:p

I have 2 boys 5 and 3, we have been to Universal 3 times. I am pretty sure they like it more than Disney. When we were at Disney in December, they kept asking if we were going to go to Universal, they decided our next vacation will be there. Stay onsite if you can. FOTL and Baby swap make it easy for mom and dad to ride the coasters!

We went to US & IOA over Christmas break with 10, 6 & 4 year olds. Our 4 year old asks nearly every day to go back!

Her favorites were: Cat in the Hat, The Flying Unicorns, Carouseussel, and Men in Black. She actually enjoyed all the rides that she was tall enough for - except Jaws. Her 4 year old cousin loved Barney. The various play areas were great also.

Oh yeah, she LOVED getting hugs from the Cat in the Hat who strolls through Seussland.

We've been to Magic Kingdom several times, and I was leary about Universal Studios offerings for kids. But now that we've been there - I think it is the better place to go!
