WORST DISNEY DINING EXPERIENCE

Then the OP must have been mistaken or exaggerating (like THAT never happens! ) when he said there were no restrooms inside Tony's!

Well, I suppose they were right since they are in the lobby. ;)

Were the bathrooms potentially out of order? I know LTT has a very small bathroom upstairs. If it had to close for a reason, it could be an issue. Frankly, that tiny bathroom is already an issue LOL.

I wish there was a tally of the most votes. I agree anyone can have one bad night but the number of times I saw chef Mickeys for dinner and Hollywood and vine, makes me want to cancel my ADR's! Except I am to nervous to lose the chef mickeys ADR since they're so hard to get if I change my mind. :confused3

IMHO, I don't think you should cancel anything. You chose the places for your own reasons, I say you see for yourself and make your own evaluation.

My issue with those bathrooms is that I can never find my table when I go back downstairs. Am I the only one who gets turned around in that restaurant for some reason?

I have never had a bad meal at WDW. But I do have a good story. I ate at CRT for dinner and I didn't know you needed to tell the chef about allergies. I ordered a pork dish with cous cous, but the sauce was made with anchovies. I didn't know that and it wasn't advertised, so I ate a couple bites and had a horrible allergic reaction to the fish. The chef came out to see me right away (after I asked what was in it to the server). He literally turned away and ran! I was like where is he going? He ran to one of the medical centers and brought me back benedryl, which is what I needed. He came back sweating and puffing. It only took him two minutes! I couldn't believe the head chef would do that! I felt like royalty!

SO, my worst was actually a best. The meal by the way was delicious! And worth every hive and swollen lip. He did make me something different though :) But once I had that pork dish- the chicken they made me couldn't compare....mmmm seafood so good! But it will kill me!

I agree. If you are taking kids, the food is secondary at best. Our kids loved it although this was in 1998. I don't remember a thing about the food but I do remember how much fun the kids had.

I had a dinner reservation at Chef Mickey's on Easter Sunday. I almost cancelled it because of all of the bad reviews. I'm glad I didn't. We had a good experience. We were seated maybe 2 minutes after our reservation time, had a really friendly and attentive server, the buffet was clean and well attended to, and the character interactions were great. The food wasn't excellent, but it was good. We didn't leave hungry. I think people expect so much more from the food because of the cost. I looked at it as paying for character interactions and having a sufficient meal to go with it.

magicmomms, I appreciate your posts. It sounds like, in spite of your bad experience, you weren't negative about the whole thing, when you could have easily been. I don't understand the whole "I will never go back again" thing. Each to his own, but in my mind, one can make most situations into a positive experience.

Thanks :) we are doing a lot of other characters meals that week so it way or may not be overkill. I am going to cancel h&v only because we changed what we are going to do that day.

Thanks!! That is good to hear. I'm sure we will have a good time. I thought it would be a nice end of the trip after mk on our last night.

Coral Reef. The hostess was ridiculously rude, the service sucked, and our food was gross. DH has refused to set foot in there since then. But DS has been begging to go back, so we're giving it another shot in November.

My experience was similar last fall but I actually enjoyed my food. I believe they train the hostess/host to be nasty & rude. Ditto for Les Chefs de France and Le Cellier. Sad, but true. But don't let that one person ruin your dining experience. My service was also terribly slow & inattentive compared to the tables right next to me. However, my food was really tasty. I had the mahi mahi (cilantro/coconut sauce) and the turtle cheesecake. I was also one row back from the tank and the location was very good. My advice would be to check out the menu carefully and have one or two choices for your entree and dessert figured out before hand. Good luck with your next Coral Reef experience!

It's Whispering Canyon for us too. We've tried twice, but the service has not been good either time. Food was just low quality and gross. We won't be back.
