World Showcase - do you start w/Mexico or Canada?

Because of the natural tendency for people to go clockwise, we normally start in Canada at rope drop because there will be less people going in that direction. We always get a schedule ahead of time, so we know exactly where and when we want to be to see the various events.

The MUSTS for us on every trip are Test Track, Off Kilter, Japanese Taiko drummers, and the American singers - Voices of Liberty.

We start in Canada.. almost every time. The husbands on our trips always have to get their "big beers" filled at Crown and Rose, and then we always go see The British Invasion, then down to see Off Kilter, back thru UK and around counter clockwise. We did a lot of hopping to Epcot in the evenings, and the kids finally said "are we ever going to get to Mexico???" hehe

Our favorites/must dos....
Off Kilter, British Invasion, Maelstrom, Bakery in Norway( have you had a hot from the oven cinnamon bun??? YUM!), Mexico Boat, Test Track, Ellen, Candy Lady in Japan if we can make it there in time, Chinese counter service to eat, Spaceship Earth, & Illuminations.

Good question! :flower: We usually begin in Canada and we do skip around. We love Canada's film and Le Cellier! We usually spend a few minutes in the UK (unless we're eating at the Rose & Crown) and then hop over to France either by boat or on foot.

This is so odd to me. :confused3 I've never even thought of starting anywhere else but Mexico. I usually pride myself on not "following" the crowd while at the park. So I'm glad to know it is kind of a split decision!
:earsgirl:

We've always started in Mexico too. In direct opposition to another poster. We always find people tend to gravitate to the right. So going left from FW to Mexico seems to have less traffic or so we thought in theory.

Funny I told my DH 'this time I want to start in Canada'. We love Mexico and always have dinner there but we tend to miss the "end" countires alot.

This year is a new plan. We have lots of time so I've planned one day just for FW and one day just for WS. If we finish all there is to see and do a millions times then we will move on to the other section. I'm hoping this way we don't feel rushed to get through the whole park on each day.

We spend so much time in WS, that we don't really have a schedule. Usually we enter from the International Gateway, but, we never know which way we'll go. The show schedule usually tells us where we're going, when. We definately hop around.

Since we do 2 days at Epcot, we always take the boat across and start with USA and work our way to Canada or start with Italy and work our way to Mexico.

We always start at Canada - but this is the strategy we are using this coming July - if we hit the boat at 11.00am when WS opens, I am hoping that we'll have at least the first two or three countries to ourselves before the crowds hit (very important in July) - and we have 2 days to explore the WS, also.

We started in Mexico, but that was because all the Disers said to always go to the left! LOL :rotfl:
