For those that play this game: I heard that a new strategy guide/book was released. Does anyone know the name of it? Is it "World of Warcraft: More Magic and Mayhem"? Or is that the old one?

I am not aware of a new straegy guide, though I would believe there is one. The original Brady games version is almost useless at this point. I do know that Brady Games put out a Warcraft Atlas very recently. I have it. Save your money! Let me check on a new strategy guide.

No idea. When I first got the game (about a year ago) I almost bought the Brady guide. I'm glad I didn't now as all the new content from all the patches has rendered it obsolete.

Thanks! My DH mentioned something about a new book a few days ago and I wanted to surprise him with it. I just want to make sure I don't buy the book he already has.

Trust me, though... even if he doesn't have it, the Atlas isn't really worth the money.

Ok, I did some checking on amazon.com

It seems there is a Limited Edition of the Original strategy guide that just came out in November. I would assume it jas been updated. BUT, and here's the thing, for some reason, amazon is telling people that ity will not be available until April! I have no idea why, if it came out in November.

Well, I would say go for it if he doesn't have the original. Brady games USUALLY makes great stuff, especially for Warcraft. If my wife biught that book for me I would be very happy with it. But she hates me playing Warcraft!

I just wanted to point out that, if I'm reading correctly, you guys are talking about two different things. Smilie is referring to the WoW RPG (similar to D&D or Magic: The Gathering) (or at least the book she posted the link to is) and PD is referring to WoW the MMORPG for the PC.

If your husband plays the computer game and not the RPG, that book is useless.

Ok, so then, I think that book you linked is strictly for the pen-and-paper RPG and not for the PC game.

I actually didn't either until I checked out the link you posted. The review mentions all sorts of things (runes and different classes and such) that are not in the PC game. So I kept reading and that's when I realized this was a "D&D" version (for lack of better description).

My whole EQ2 guild left that game (except for me and my BF, we both still play) and went to WoW. I just started playing it and I like it, but I feel so lost. Like I couldn't figure out where the heck to get my level 10 Warlock pet. I finally found a few sites that were helpful.
