World of Color Dining Pkg or Dessert Party?

Does anyone know how early you need to go online to make reservation (60 days out)?

The last two times, I was seated with others. Once a group of three friends, this last time, a super sweet younger couple. I thought it was fun, and nice to sit and chat about our experiences at the Park that day.
Did you have to share the bread basket or did you get your own? That is the only part of sharing that I am not sure I would like. I don't mind sharing a table but not sure I want to share food with them.

I have a 6 year old and a 10 year old. For those who have taken your kids, were the able to see from these seats?

Yes, the basket was shared, but both times we didn't touch that.

Dessert Party is way better than the Dining package. Make sure to get a high top with a low top in front of you for the best view. Also, if you're nice to your host they may grant you a WOC glow cup that is supposed to only be for kids. My wife and I thought they were so cool and managed to get one.

It's Disneyland......no rush to make reservations...there will (normally) be plenty of availability after 60 days out......and often they have not opened them up at all yet.

Thanks for the feedback everyone! It was very helpful. I am definitely booking the dessert party. Now, hopefully they release those reservations soon!
Reservations are up for July! I was just able to book via the website.

Dessert Party is way too expensive for what you get, and if you don't get one of the tables towards the front your view could be blocked by others at tables. WoC dining has always been our choice, we normally do Wine Traittoria. Your view for WoC puts your in the center in the very front, we always choose to stand against the fence one area back from the front, perfect view and you don't get wet.

How early do you line up for your spot? This is what I'm considering (same restaurant)

My 3 yo is 41" tall. We sat at a tall table behind a short table (our table # was #24). He was able to see fine. I even leaned my head down to his height to double check and it was all good.

Guests dining at 21 Royal Street will be able to watch Fantastic! (once it returns) from the Dream Suite balcony (current name of that location).

21 Royal Street is only for groups and is pretty much an entire evening, isn't it? I mean not something that a family could just book.

I am going back and forth on this, if it was just DH and I then I would without a second thought but 5 of us makes it pricey.
However I really enjoyed the F! Dessert party and I have never seen WOC well as we aren't a group to spend a lot of time holding down a spot.

As someone who spent the last Disney trip holding his son through all of the nighttime events, the attraction of a reserved seat is a big one. My back can't sustain carrying the kids anymore. But the way I am actually justifying the expense for a family of four is by using CS for most of our other dining. At the moment, I am just doing the MSEP package at Blue Bayou on 7/3 and the WOC Dessert Party on 7/4. In both cases, we are getting "experiences" in addition to our meals (plus, I have never been to Blue Bayou before, so that is a plus). Everything else on the trip will be CS and probably I will even bring in fruit/vegetables/snacks to keep the expenses down.

Cool. What are they serving these days? It sounds like they are playing around with the menu.
