Wonder - November 9, 2013 - Bahamas from Galveston

Most of the time the D=domestic

ie= Domestic Husband (DH)
Domestic Daughter (DD)

and so on. I really have no idea who decided everyone was DOMESTIC, it cracks me up. I had to learn this jargon, too, when I started posting for a cruise in 2008. There are still a few here and there that I have to "google"! Welcome~

I always thought it was dear husband and dear daughter :goodvibes

We just book this cruise. This will be our 6th disney cruise. We will be doing the cruise right after this one as well. #7 A b2b. (Back to back) :cool1:

We also have a b2b planned for next year when we do a 5 day western carribean followed by the 15 day Panama Canal cruise.#8 and #9.

It will be me, my husband and then 6 year old daughter. We are in a gty room as of right now. We are so excited. We are addicted to disney cruises. The b2b are the best. When the promo came out we could not pass up the deal.
:thumbsup2
We would like to join the FE group please.

LUCKY!! We did a B2B in 2011 on the Dream and LOVE IT SO MUCH!! If I had the vacation time I would totally do a 2 week, 3 week or 4 week cruise, NO PROBLEM!!! :) We booked the 7A GTY and can not WAIT to get our assignment!! :yay:

I have emailed our fe list out. If you did not get an email from me, please let me know. There were a couple of people that I did not have email addresses.

As of right now we have 16 cabins signed up - 31 adults and 20 children :)

On a 7 day cruise it is usually on the 4th night :cool1:

I was reading some posts from people going to Alaska on the Wonder and they mentioned that Disney changed it to Pixar night on their cruise.

Does that only happen on the Alaskan trips? Will Disney send out some type of itinerary prior to the trip that lets everyone know about pirate night?

Do most adults dress up on pirate night? I wasn't sure if I need to pack an outfit like a pirate costume or just some pirate accessories.

No worries...that is for the Alaska cruises only as they do not sail in the Caribbean :) Alot of ppl dress up and so do the characters. It is alot of fun!! If you want to dress up it makes for great pictures!!

The fish extender is a gift exchange kind of like a secret Santa. There is a fish outside of the cabins and you hang something like a decorative holder that people in your group can put gifts in.

You can give a gift to every person in each cabin or you can give one gift per cabin, its really up to the gift giver.

If you do a search on this board or even on the Internet, you will find a ton of information about it.

If you would like to be in the fish extender group, send me an email to dgay@dlinc.net

Today is the last day for this special offer in case you were interested (If posting this is against any rules please let me know) We took advantage of the 7A GTY room deal back in March :)

Can I please be added to the FE group.

Our first Disney cruise and we are SUPER pumped.
Me, DH, DS (8), DD (7)

I sure will! When you get time, send me an email to dgay@dlinc.net. Send me the adult names and children names. Also send me your room number if you have it. If you have special occasions that you are celebrating, include that also.

Hi Dana, wondering how many staterooms in the FE group as of today? Also, what's the consensus on how many before split it into another group?
Thanks!
Erin

Wow, I was off the boards for a month and a bit and this thread took off!

Lots of comments I will throw my couple of cents in on.

DH (DS, DD) meant Dear Husband (Dear Son, Dear Daughter) with the disboarders I've talked much to, but clearly it can mean whatever you want it to. I loved the Disney Husband suggestion, although I'm not sure how my DH would feel about it. (Although these days, our 2 year old points at the Disney art we have and says, "That's Cinnerella and Daddy, and Awiel and Daddy, and Snow White and Daddy!" She thinks all the princes are Daddy, so maybe that does make him my Disney Husband.) ;)

The only person to join the roll call I set up on cc for this sailing did mention I would be "shocked" going from Celebrity to Disney...for what it's worth.

We've cruised on multiple lines over the years, on some ships that felt like just floating hotels, and some that felt like destinations in themselves. The Disney Ships are definitely destinations. We've been cruising with at least one child for the last 7 years. DS would tell you that he ranks Disney Cruiseline as number 1, Celebrity as 2nd, and Royal Caribbean as 3rd, but he likes them all. (These are the 3 lines he's been on, because those are the ones we have found to have the best combination of activities for us and for him, on routes that appeal to us with young children.) That is probably my ranking as well, and we would go on any of that list again. Interestingly, my DM (who often cruises with us, and will be on this trip with us, as well), came off the Disney Cruise and actually insisted that while she is traveling with us and our young children, she thinks Disney is all we should do. She thought they offered that much of a superior product for families. The mix of activities you can drop your child off for, and activities you can do with your child, really can't be topped by any other line we're aware of.

A couple of people asked about the shows on the ship with little kids. We took our 7 year old to multiple shows, and he loved every one he saw with us. We only took the almost 2 year old to one or two shows (Twice Charmed, for sure, and I think Disney Dreams), and she was absolutely enthralled. She is a very active child, not one who usually wants to sit and do anything, but she sat, fascinated. We thought the production shows on the Magic were better than any shows we've seen on any other line over the years, but we thought a couple of other ships (particularly the Celebrity Eclipse) had better entertainment around the ship in random lounges and atriums.

This is going to be a great trip!
