Wonder - November 9, 2013 - Bahamas from Galveston

I am putting together a tentative schedule on when we can get together after boarding so that everyone in the fe group will have a list with any changes in cabin assignments.

I was wondering, do most groups meet immediately after boarding or do you try to wait until after dinner service? We selected the early dinner service but I figured some might have a late dinner seating.

Let me know if you have any suggestions or past experience tips.

On the cruise we were on last year, we did a meet and greet the first full day of the cruise, which worked pretty well. We didn't restrict it to people who wanted to do the FE, we did it for everyone from our disboards cruise meets forum. It was nice getting to put names and faces together, and then having familiar faces around for the rest of the trip.

I don't mind trying to go to something on embarkation day, but I wouldn't want to plan on anything at night. We've got a toddler, and I suspect she won't have napped that afternoon and we'll be in our cabin sparing the rest of the ship the joys of an overexcited and underslept 2 year old. ;)

I have emailed our updated group list out. If you do not receive it, please send me your email address.

Thanks
Dana

Haha! Same here!! Our little girl will have just turned 2 in September and I'm sure she will be overexcited and running back and forth in the cabin before bedtime :) Yay us!!

Hi all we are looking into booking this cruise a few questions - is the FE full? And are there any mixology or beer tastings booked for this group out of curiosity? Thanks

My entire family is going on this cruise. I'm so excited! I hope to meet some of you and get some great tips. This is my third cruise, but first one on DCL. Also, my husbands first cruise! My parents, sister, brother-in-law and niece will be going as well. Yay!

I'm so excited to meet some people! I have a dorky question...

Could the hubs and I participate in the FE group, even tho we don't have kids?? HA! I think it'd be so fun. :)

Also, I've only cruised on Celebrity before, and the formal and semi-formal nights were really true to the description (no jeans, lots of men in tuxes, etc). I've heard Disney is a bit more relaxed (as in, you won't see many tuxes)...could someone give me an example of the types of outfits they wore to dinner for the different nights?

SO EXCITED! Thanks in advance!!

One cruise I wore a black (bridesmaid) dress and my DH wore his tux and then another cruise I wore just a long black lightweight cotton dress and he wore a nice long sleeve shirt with nice slacks. We mainly dressed up for the pictures since we knew we were going to buy them. I personally would not wear jeans or have my DH wear jeans but it's really up to you :)

We'd always taken DH's tux on previous cruises, but we didn't on our first Disney cruise because we'd heard it was more relaxed as well. He just wore a sport coat, dress shirt, and slacks, and he didn't look or feel out of place at all. (When we cruise on Celebrity, he generally takes both a tux and a sport coat, so I know exactly where you're coming from.) I did silk cocktail dresses for both the formal and semi-formal nights, I believe, but they weren't super dressy dresses.

There were several couples without kids doing the FE on our last cruise.

Thank you Goldenrose and kjackson83!!

That is really helpful on the dress info. I'm with you...I'd rather not wear jeans either! We like getting all fancied up. Great thought on dressing up, esp for the pics.

I'm totally signing up for FE. :)

Glad to be travelling on the #2 ranked ship!! Awesome, can't wait! Apparently we ALL have GREAT taste!! Lol

Hi!

we just booked our cruise today and we couldn't be more excited! Is there already a fish extender list going? If so where can I join? I can't wait for my girls to meet some new friends! Last time we made so many great friends and still keep in touch with them.

Thanks!!!
Nikki Ross

Hi!

Was just curious if anyone has a 12 year old daughter. I would love for my Disney daughter Hailey to be able to "meet" some girls before the cruise sail date. We are just so excited for this cruise and we can not wait!

Thanks!
