Wonder - January 21, 2011 The Cruise To Nowhere In Particular..

I love the fall, it is my favorite season, and for me, the best months are in the fall. September is DH and I's anniversary, November is my birthday and we go to Washington state to visit my family for Thanksgiving. Plus, mid-term elections. For me, with these "milestones" before the cruise, I am thinking the time will fly by, especially when you factor in Christmas. This little get-away will be here before we know it!
Christine, where are your daily photos? I need my 'fix'! :rotfl2:
I hope you all are well.

Here's a little something to hold you over, a coffee treat from Cove Cafe:

Fall is my favorite season too! Especially October and Halloween. :) I just love the cooler nights and the crisp, clean air.

We have 2 other cruises planned between this 2 nighter and now! I can't believe how they piled up. One is a 7 night MX Riviera cruise for Thanksgiving week, which should be a blast with the kids! Then we have a quick 4 night getaway on Princess in December before the holidays. That'll be with my friend and her 10 year old DD plus me and my 10yo DD. So by the time this 2 night cruise rolls around, my daughter will be a seasoned cruiser! I hope to have her addicted to cruising by the time she's 16 or 17 so that I can have a companion with me when my DH can't get off work. :thumbsup2

By the way, my status still shows GTY for a 5b cabin...

I check weekly but I know we won't have a room assignment until we get to the terminal. I just have a feeling. :upsidedow ... Great pix of the ship and those delicious looking coffees by the way! Keep them coming...

Yep, Fall is by far my favorite. Spring is nice but the Allergens! Oh My! I can't hardly stand to step outside the house! Summer WAY TOO hot where I live. Again, You'll not find me outdoors much. Fall, Temps are perfect, no allergies. I can start working outside again! Winter, well, I don't mind being out in the cold. It's just hard to get anything done with the rain and such.

Hello all!!

My husband and I just booked our VERY FIRST DCL trip to...NO WHERE!
It sounds like alot of fun!! I am a big Disney fan..and want to make this trip as special as possible! We have no idea what to expect! Any comments..sugguestions..tips would be GREATLTY Appreciated!!
Can't wait!!

:cool1:

WELCOME!

Actually, none of us know what to expect! :lmao: Or, perhaps more accurately, we know too much about what COULD happen! Disney hasn't done a 2 day cruise before, so we're not sure what we are going to get with this one as far as how they will handling dining rotations or what shows we will see or what activities they will offer on our one day at sea.

This cruise will be a great way to get a taste of DCL and I think lots of veteran cruisers are bring along 'newbies' to show them what we all get so worked up about!

Whatever happens, you'll love it!

Can it be January now? lol I'm so in need of a vacation it's not even funny.

I can post this here because you all will not think I'm crazy.

I am turning 40 next month and have been agonizing over what to do - throw a big party, etc... trying to find a venue, menus, family-friendly but with a bar... too many details. What I really wanted to do was go to DL but airfare was kinda expensive expecially since we are headed down for this cruise in January.

So lo and behold, I get home yesterday and there is a Ding! fare to Orange County for $55 waiting on my computer. Snatched it up YIKES and we are headed down for a quick weekend for my birthday! What our trip will cost is not much more than a hosted party for a bunch of my closest aquaintances, and I will enjoy being at DL with my family much more than drinking with some friends from work... SO....

We'll be able to hit up the Halloween Party and World of Color and all the new things. To justify the cost, I decided we'd just not do the pre-cruise Disneyland stay and instead just fly down for the cruise itself... then the cost that we would have paid for park hoppers is not actually part of the cost of this trip... (get my Dis-crazed justification thinking?)

Anyway, I am soooo excited. Haven't told the kids yet - my husband wants to hold out till the last possible minute. We leave in just over 3 weeks - I've never planned a trip with so little lead time. It's such a rush and I love it!

WOW was that Ding fare for Round trip! I'll have to look into southwest more often if that's the case!
