Wonder - January 21, 2011 The Cruise To Nowhere In Particular..

Hello Fellow Cruisers
Just checking in. Made my final payment last week and can't wait for January!

Sweet! Makes it so much better when it's paid off! I got this one paid off and am now working on paying off my next one. only $1200 to go.

woo hoo so excited, I booked my Thursday night hotel. I have been watching the rates for the Hyatt Place in Ontario for the past couple of months. We have stayed there before and really liked it but for $250 a night, we were going to have to find somewhere else to stay. I checked back this weekend and it went down to $124 so I booked it (and with the Costco $100 for $80 gift certificate I will say an extra $20). It's about an hour away from the port but we liked staying there cause it close to a Chick-fil-A which we don't have here in Vegas. I know we could just drive in on Friday morning but I want to be well rested for this cruise. We'll leave for the port at 9:30am.

Good question...we have never been to the strip on Thanksgiving. Do you want a traditional Thanksgiving Dinner? If so, where are you staying?

We spent Thanksgiving in Vegas 3 years ago. We ate at the buffet at MGM, they had all the Thanksgiving food and then some. It was really good. A little weird spending Thanksgiving in a casino, but it was nice.

It is the most addicting game plyaed on your phone. They have the full version on Iphones/Itouches/Ipads and a beta version on a Droid.

Oh cool, because we are actually staying at MGM! They don't have any TG menus out yet so I'm not sure what we're going to do yet... Not the most family-oriented vacation, but my parents are taking the whole family... I am thinking we'll be doing the M&M place and the Circus circus theme park...

How many days left? I can't wait. I've got 2 nights at GCV for me and DH. Wish it was now. I live in San Bruno California - don't know if you heard but last Thursday we had an awful natural explosion and fire - 53 houses burned to the ground, 4 dead (so far), many, many displaced residents for days. Very stressful and I'd love to be away from here now. Haven't slept and would really liked to be rocked to sleep on the Wonder.

If you are going to Circus Circus, their Steakhouse is very good. I am sure they will have a special Thanksgiving Day menu.

Also something to think about is some of the casinos now have pay one price and eat at the Buffet all day long.

Oh, I dropped a big pile of change there...getting candy for FISH EXTENDERS! We bought black, red and gold (brighter than their yellow), mixed them all up, and made 20 individual gift bags. Those were mixed in with other 'movie' candy and passed out on a cruise back in '06.
