WLV and the childrens center Cubs Den

We will be coming in Oct. and were hoping to catch some of the Food & Wine Festival. We don't think the kids (5 & 3) would really like this and have been thinking about the Cubs Den.

We have never seen this one, and are not sure about the activities. If anyone has some experience putting their kids in there, could you please share.

I want to enjoy the "Food & Wine Festival" not have it turn into a "Guilt Festival."

I can maybe help you a little...we didn't leave our kids there but did go in the afternoon a couple of times for their afternoon activities. It was a nice little center with toys, computers, activity tables and t.v/vcr. The woman working there was very nice. I would have taken advantage of it for my older two children but we still had the baby with us, and I believe you can't leave them unless they're potty trained. Oh well, maybe by next trip! I would also like to hear any feedback from people who have used it at night...

My children (three of them) went there twice last year during our stay, and loved it. I was around the resort both times they went, and have a bit of anxiety about getting very far away. If I was going to attend the F&WF at EPCOT, I would try taking them to the kid's club at the Beach Club so they would be closer to me if they needed me. Just an idea!

Not to be picky, but the children's clubs (I think) are for ages 4 and up so I have not been able to take DS (3 1/2) to them yet

My kids loved the Cub's Den, in fact DS enjoyed it so much the first time that he took full advantage of the free afternoon activities during our latest trip!

We took our two sons there over Easter while DH and I went to Victoria and Albert's and they had a great time. They have computers and actual video games (like in an arcade.) They were able to watch Disney movies and, perhaps best of all, play with someone other than their brother.
They asked if they could go back, but at $20/hour, once per trip is all we will do.
They were able to pick what they wanted for dinner - basic kids' meal stuff.

What kinds of 'free' activities do they do with the kids in the afternoon? I wasn't aware they had any! When we stayed at BC in March we didn't even check the kids' club, I assumed there was a charge for everything.

As far as free activities, one day the kids made beaded bear-claw necklaces. Another day they made little paper boxes. I think we stopped in one other afternoon but I can't remember what the craft was they were making.

We took our DD who was 7yo at the time....she loved it!!!! Of course, we were in the same boat...anxiety about going to far away. So dear husband and I took in a lovely dinner at the Restaurant. Although, when it was time for us to pick up our DD she didn't want to leave. The cast members who worked in there were so nice and just a joy to deal with. They made everyone feel comfortable. You can really tell that the kids had everything handed to them.....TV, Movies, Video Games, Food, Toys, Arts/Crafts etc. It is well worth...the kids will tell you.

If we're staying at WLV will they allow us to use the BC's kid center?

I thought that was for use only by guests staying at the resort. I thought about the BC but figured it was only for BC guests.

But I guess at $20/hr they'll probably take anyone. What if your staying at AllStars or Moderates or offsite?
