WL Room Recommendations needed!!

Can anyone recommend specific rooms and floors for a good Standard View Room at the WL?

It is my understanding that anything from 5012 - 5032 may provide a view of the fireworks; however, I'm not sure if woods view is the same as standard view.

I am not sure about the strict definitions of the view, but my interpretation based on previous visits is that Standard view is the least desirable and many times includes a view of parking lots etc. Maybe someone can give you the strict definition.

We had a woods view room at WL, it was very private but nothing spectacular - woods

WL no longer will accept room requests in advance (via fax) so it's just luck of the draw!

If you can possibly swing it, I would try to upgrade to a woods view. I caught a glimpse of teh parking lot from the lodge when we were there and it just seemed.... wrong! The woods view is very peaceful and calming.

This link will take you to the WL VETS thread. Standard rooms are on the outside of building "A" of the north wing. They do overlook the service area where deliveries are made to the Lodge.

You can no longer fax room requests, so make sure you request them when making your reservation. If you are not satisfied for any reason with your room, the front desk will do everything possiable to change it. During check in ask the CM if any upgrades are available.

I don't really understand why you would request a specific room. I think that is just setting yourself up for disappointment. I mean if you have your heart set on room A and someone is in room A, I don't think that WL is going to kick them out just because you asked for it.

I would request a Standard View on the Forth Floor overlooking the Lobby, that way you will have at least a beautiful view on the inside. While it is true WL doesn't take fax'ed request you can have it added to your reservation request.
