Good morning TEAM!!! Well, yesterday was the first day of marathon training and it was a partial stonker. We won't talk about my time for 3 miles, but lets just say the heat got to me. But on a good note, I got my steps in and I've heard what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

Unfortunately, there is no end in sight, today is *only* supposed to be 85 and then back up to the upper 90's until next weekend. My 3 miles tonight should be even more fun, I should just run on TM, but I hate running on the TM!!!!
Tiffany--It's so good to see you back!!! I'm so glad that your DH is doing much better. I'll continue to pray for your whole family.
Carrie--I'm glad to see you back too! I've been worried that you weren't posting because something was wrong. I'm so glad it was just a case of LTO.
Stephanie--I hear ya about this heat, it is brutal!!!!! Stephen was looking online last night, our normal temp's right should be highs in the lower 80's--those are our lows!! It's crazy!
Jen--Did you have a good time with your Mom? I'm hoping you were able to unwind a little bit. Yay for your DH for being a good Samaritan! Especially when he just had knee surgery.
WW Dave--I hope your puppy gets to feeling better! I hate it when Hines is sick or not feeling well, it makes me so worried.
SW Dave--Are settling back into life in the great North? Cool Father's Day gift!
TriMom--I do the stationary bike for xt, I usually do a 30 minute hill program and can bike between 11-12 miles during that time. I love riding the stationary bike, so I know I would love biking for real, I'm just terrified to bike on the roads. Plus, I haven't ridden in a real bike in about 15 years, I'm not sure I even remember how to balance on one!
Laura--I think I would take those shoes back and get different ones. A stabbing pain in your arch does not sound normal. Did you get them from a running store? And have patience breaking in orthodics, when I first started wearing mine in the spring, it was awful. I had pain shooting up my legs and cramping in my calves, I even took them out for a while and ran without them. But one day, they felt okay--no pain or cramping, now I wear them for every run and I don't even notice them anymore. Good luck!!
Well, it looks like I'll have a busy day today, so I better quit ignoring the stacks of paper on my desk. Unfortunately, they just won't go away on their own.
