When Was Your First TIME at WDW?

WDW opened October 1971. My first time there was June 1972. I was 7 years old. Been hooked ever since.

My first trip was 2/2005. i was 34 years old. i have been back almost every year since, some years a few times! My happy place!

Like a PP, my first trip was in 1987. Took our 3 children 8,7, and 4. What's funny is that I had a "been there, done that" attitude about it when we got back. It was only when I was helping a friend plan her first trip with her family that I realized more and more how much fun it was. My biggest regret is that I remember when we went on the monorail several times and listened to the spiel about the new hotel they were building, the Grand Floridian-I should have taken a picture!

My first trip was an adult. Our family could never afford a trip to DL or WDW when I was a kid.
It was l977 and our kids were 5 and 7 y/o. We stayed off site at a wonderful resort that had a train ride for the kids that went around their large property. They had themed rooms and lots of Disney oriented things to do at the resort. I can't remember the name of it, but it's changed over the years.
l977 was when we all fell in love with WDW and that continued until 2020 - haven't been back since but we have some wonderful memories of WDW over the years.

I believe it was 1982. I was in my early twenties and loved it, still do!

When I was there in 1972 we stayed at Poly. You could go to the beach and swim in the lake. We also went to River Country which was their original water park. Anyone else remember that?

My second trip was with DH and our kids in 1994. We stayed at the Ft. Wilderness Cabins and did everything: three parks, River Country, Hoop Dee Doo Revue, Spirit of Aloha Luau, dinner at King Stefan's Banquet Hall. We even spent a morning investigating the Disney Vacation Club at what's now OKW. My avatar is the photo we got there.
