With all the talk of birthday cakes, I just have to post a picture of DS's birthday cake this year that DW (crzy4pooh/Lynnda) made. I thought it turned out great although she kept finding little things wrong with it. She did keep me from putting the candles where the engines were though

(In case you don't watch Playhouse Disney, this is Rocket from Little Einstein's :) )

Wow that is gorgeous! I can't believe she didn't let you put candles in the engines!!!! I have some sparklers that would have look awsome!!!!!!!

I have quite a bit of pain today so I guess I won't do the Y tomorrow. :sad2: Maybe I'll get out for a walk.

Sunny

This is not the same pic as the one i tried to post earlier, but it is similar. this is one my dad took, but by then, the boy had stopped running. in the other, you could see him behind me sprinting it out!

Sparklers could have been fun but since we cheated and had the party at Chick-Fil-A they might have frowned a little on that.

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick post --- Last night I did 4 miles on the threadmill :goodvibes . Trying to get back into the swing of things :).

Have a good day everyone --

Jodi

MelR - Great pic! It's funny to see the guy to the right that appears to be smiling at the boy. Very cute!

Sunny - :grouphug: Forgive me for whining to you yesterday, you didn't need that. :(

jodi - Yup, getting on track feels great!

cam - WTG!!!!! (Exercise, eating, and keeping your head above water right now!!

Lynnda - Awesome cake!!

Jackie - That's great that you got a workout in when you planned to rest!!!

I'm schedueld for a 3-miler today. FInishing my partial cup of coffee (don't want to do cold turkey) and then hitting the herbal tea. This will nto be a reapeat of Tuesday!

I discovered yesterday that I've only got 90 days until my cruise. I wanted to lose 10 to 15 pounds before it, and I've gone up 3 to 4. :( Time to get on the ball and record my intake again.

monte - I have not ried e-diets myself, but it seems I've heard good things about it. I'm tempted totry them myself, but I do pretty well when I record my intake on my Palm and track it that way. Let us know if you try it!

A huge thank you to everyone who's already sent payment!!!! I already have ~15 people paid!! Woo Hoo! If we get it all early, then I'll order early! This is a GREAT group to work with!!!

MelR - fabulous pic!

wfloyd & Lynnda - absolutely AWESOME cake! My son loves The Little Einsteins.

Cam
- I love scrapbooking. I was thinking - what if you did some sort of scrap pages people could sign wishing your daughter well? Maybe have a page for family to sign, friends to sign, etc. Kind of like the idea of people signing photo mats at weddings now. Even the photo mat is a great idea. Just an idea - although it does sound like you have great ideas for the party already! A poster of pics of her through the school years would be fun too.

As promised, I did nothing yesterday - but color Capt. Hook. Chad colored in Peter Pan last night after I was asleep. So today, it's coloring Tinkerbell, signs for the treasure hunt and the treasure "maps." If I sleep before Saturday night, it's going to be a miracle.

Hello everyone! Work has been getting the best of me (or is it the worst?). Anyway, I have not worked out at all this week, and it is supposed to be the first week of training for DL. I just read through all the posts. Everyone seems to be doing well. It is great to see Cam, Lisa, Mel and Lily posting and providing inspiration to all. I can always count on my WISH team members to cheer me up.

MelR-You look fabulous! I can't even tell from the photo that you are bruised and bloody. The boy looks great too. That must have been a special moment to have him finish the race with you. Great job! :cheer2:

Sara- Welcome home. I know it must have been very hard on you to miss your DD's birthday. :grouphug:

On the topic of birthday parties, my DD is having a disco dance party sleepover on the 24th. I ordered a disco ball and everything. It should be a blast. I need to work on plans for the decorations this weekend.

On the topic of Special Olympics, for those of you new to the group, Cam and her family won an award last year from SO as Family of the Year in Delaware. :thumbsup2

Judy- I have shared your anniversary story with so many people. It makes me laugh everytime I think about it. Now I have Christa's MIL story to make me laugh too. Christa too fat? Please. Some people! :furious: This would be totally off topic, but it might be fun for everyone to share one crazy MIL story with everyone.

Where to start???? OK, my bp's going up just going through the stories. To keep me from exploding, how about a funny one about my dh's crazy MIL? yes that would be my mom. ;)

Mom and dad are watching tv a little while back. They recently got/found the feature on their satellite that puts teh caller id on the tv screen when someone calls. (First time it happened they thought the basketball player on tv had the same name as dh.) :confused3

OK, so last night, dh's name pops up, but the phone never rang. They call anyway. He says he did not call and I am not home. Wasn't the way my cell would have come up, so they are totally confused. Dh gets stuck talking to my mom for quite some time. He hates the phone, but his crazy MIL doesn't want him to feel like she only wants to talk to me. :teeth:

So, mom gets back to her chair and has dad rewind their tape to where she left. Hmmmm.... Name pops up again in the same spot. They finally realize that they were watching a show they taped teh day before. That's when I had called them. Of course, she had to call dh back to let him know what ahappened! :rotfl:

Sad news for me.

We found out we were pregnant last week. And less than 1 week later we lost our pregnancy.

If we become pregnant again before DL--I will not be doing DL. Our 8th wedding anniversary was on Tuesday and on Wednesday I spent the afternoon and evening in the ER (we are out of town and I wanted to make sure that my situation didn't become a life or death emergency).

So good thoughts for our family.

I had my emotional day yesterday. Now just working on physical recovery.

:(

Lisa, I am so sorry for your family's loss. :grouphug: to you and your family at this hard time. I lost my third pregnancy very early on, and it was truly heart-breaking, if you'd like to talk feel free to PM me. It is coming up on the 23rd anniversary of my loss, and I still wonder about that precious little life who was so briefly here. It comforts me to know that some day I will get to meet and hold him/her. Please take good care of yourself and know that we are all thinking of you.

Monte, I have never tried eDiets and have no answer for you. If you follow their program, let me know. I am curious.

Carrie, MIL story had rolling here! :lmao: :rotfl2:

Hey guys! I've been MIA again, that means I haven't been running. :guilty: I did do some "cross training" last night by cleaning and doing laundry. :teeth: I'm getting my run in tonight even if I have to run on the treadmill at 1:00 in the morning!!

Okay, here's my MIL story, it has become pretty famous in the family. Thanksgiving 2001, Stephen and I were at his grandparent's in PA for the weekend. On Saturday afternoon, we came in from shopping and I put my black purse on the kitchen counter. A little while later his aunt and uncle left for their house in MI. Later that evening, I needed something out of my purse, went to get it and it was gone, I figured someone had taken it up to our bedroom, so I went looking for it up there--no purse. I asked Stephen if he had seen it, and he started asking around. Carol (my MIL) gets this weird look on her face, and asked if it was a black purse, I said that it was and I left it on the kitchen counter. Carol and Stephen's grandma saw the purse, figured it was his aunt's and mailed it to MI WITHOUT asking anyone or checking to see if it was really her's. Everything was in my purse--my driver's license, credit cards, car keys, cell phone--everything. And to make matters worse, Stephen was scheduled to be out of town that week, so I was home by myself without access to our bank account, without my driver's license (I drove so carefully that week), no cell phone, and using Stephen's car keys. Now when we go to PA, I make it a point to show everyone what my purse looks like and I take it to our room and it does not leave the room until we are going to the car heading home.

Kristi--That sounds like an awesome party! I love Peter Pan!

Christa--Your MIL makes me :furious: . Just ignore her. Tell Bree congrats! Does she have any names in mind?

Melissa--Great pic! You look fabulous!

Lisa - My deepest sympaties for your loss. I'll keep you nad your family in my thoughts and prayers.
