Lisa,

As the others have said, I am so sorry for your loss. I am sure that words alone cannot begin to give an accurate representation of what you and your family are going through. Take care of yourself, as best as you can given the circumstances. :grouphug:

Krista - :lmao: now, but at the time... :headache: Take it from me, get your run in! :rolleyes1

Today I actually ran (big shock) I did somewhere between 5.5 and 6 miles of trail. I also did a short road ride to the lake and back, but I chickened out on a swim as I had noone to swim w/ and i needed to get back to p/u boy from mother's day out! It was nice to stay upright on the bike for a change!

Tuesday I mt. biked the trail I ran today, and as usual, I fell (right on my current bruises)

Judy - What do you call a girl horse that keeps throwing you. I have decided that my mt. bike would be a bucking bronco, but then i got to thinking that a bronco is a boy (is it?) and my bike is a girl. I just wish she'd stop throwing me! What do you think I could do to tame her? I'm keeping her clean and well cared for. I've even gotten her nice new parts. I don't talk very nice to her though b/c she is just so mean to me!

Sunny - is the climbing wall in the b/day party pics the one you and ds have been doing? It looked cool!

Krista - I don't like it when you don't workout, b/c I miss reading your posts! Are you sure you need to be an accountability poster? I think you should post either way!

Sad news for me.

We found out we were pregnant last week. And less than 1 week later we lost our pregnancy.

If we become pregnant again before DL--I will not be doing DL. Our 8th wedding anniversary was on Tuesday and on Wednesday I spent the afternoon and evening in the ER (we are out of town and I wanted to make sure that my situation didn't become a life or death emergency).

So good thoughts for our family.

I had my emotional day yesterday. Now just working on physical recovery.

:(
So sorry Lisa! I know this is a hard time for you...I lost a my 1st pregnancy at 16 weeks so I know how sad it is! :wizard: :grouphug: :wizard: :grouphug: to you!

I htink it's tiem to call in the bike whisperer. ;)

Thanks for the sentiment guys. I am actually feeling very okay. Discovering it was tough. But by the late evening I was making jokes in the emergency room. Today is so so but we look forward to trying again.

This has been a fear of mine since I gave birth to my last and I Have had some odd preminitions in the last month or so and in the days leading up to the m/c. I had just entered my 6th week.

Thank you to everyone who said i looked great in the pic. i think i eeeked out a smile bc the boy was running me in and i saw my dad w/ the camera so i wanted to look like a happy person. Here is my pic right after i crossed the finish line!!!!! My mom would die if she knew i showed this to anyone!!!!

Lisa - :grouphug: for you and your family. Glad you're feeling better.

Melissa - Are you sure your bike is a girl?

My MIL story goes back to our engagement... we were already officially engaged, but I hadn't gotten the ring yet. DH and I were going to spend the weekend with friends of mine, and when we got there he handed me a ring box in front of them. Everyone was so excited to see my reaction when I opened the box, but my reaction wasn't exactly what anyone had expected, since the box was EMPTY! My MIL is extremely paranoid, and she was afraid someone would break in and steal the ring (how would they know it was there?), so she took the ring with her for the day but left the box and didn't tell DH. I got the ring rather unceremoniously when we got back to town.

Tonight's a rest night - thank goodness!

Jackie

Hey Fellow Wishers.

Sorry to be a drive-by poster but I only have a few minutes. I am hoping that you all can keep my family in your thoughts this week as my father has suffered a major brain hemmorhage this week due to a fall. His situation is very very grave and any prayers or pixie dust you can spare would be much appreciated. I have been by his side since Monday and only returned last night to repack my suitcase and get some desperately-needed sleep. I am getting ready to get in the car and go back this evening but thought I would check in here first.

Hope everyone else is doing okay and I'll check in when I get a chance.

Rhonda, so very sorry to read about your dad. Prayers have been said for him and your entire family.

Oh, Rhonda, I am so sorry to hear about your father. Our prayers are with you and your family. :grouphug:

Lisa, I am sorry for your loss as well. :grouphug:

It amazes me how we, as complete strangers, gain so much strength from each other. This is truly a wonderful group. :sunny:

WOw, I hope this does not sound cold, but I'm very thankful for the MIL stories today. WIthout them, I'd have been in tears all day.

This a special group. I love the way we can count on each otehrs support.

MDM - And she wasn't even your MIL then! :p

MelR - I have a pic with my tongue sticking out in my marathon report. Funny, that shows what a marathon takes in my mind. I like the happy ones, but I need that onein my report to show the truth!

wfloyd -- thanks for posting the picture. Lynnda -- that is absolutely awesome! I cannot believe how gorgeous the frosting looks -- very professional! BTW, that bakery I mentioned in my earlier post? That woman used to bake cakes for friends, then sold them out of her garage, and finally took a chance and opened a little storefront. Very quickly, she was so busy that she'd stop taking orders weeks before a date. Ultimately, she expanded her store and then moved to a larger location. Talk about local woman making good. People come from 4 states for her cakes! Yours, Lynnda, certainly looks as good as or better than anything sold at this bakery. Congratulations!

 Thank you soooo much for all the nice compliments on the cake!!! You have no idea how much that means. (Of course, I still can't believe DH posted a pic... but it was very sweet!) Cam - that is so cool! I would LOVE to actually make money doing cakes. It's awesome to be "in the zone" with my decorating! Too bad I haven't been "in the zone" with my running - I really need it after all that frosting!!!! :lmao:

Sunny - I love the Lightening McQueen cake! Did you do that freehand? I haven't seen anything yet for car cakes - and I'm sure that will be DS's theme next year. Great job!!! :thumbsup2

Well, training wise this week I have only been swimming twice - no running. Tonight was a great workout at the pool, but I just can't make myself get out and run in this heat. :sunny: This week has also been VBS at church, so I'm calling that cross-training... :rotfl: I did set up a run with my training buddy for Saturday evening, so please hold me accountable to do this!!!! ;)

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! Happy training!!! :cool1:

Lisa and Rhonda - So sorry to hear bad news from both of you. Sending :grouphug: your way.

My thoughts and prayers are with both of you.
