Sunny -- The cake was fabulous! I am sooo impressed! And you look absolutely fit. I have to wonder what you see when you look in the mirror, kiddo, because you really do look wonderful! :grouphug: :thumbsup2

Kristi -- The party sounds awesome! What clever ideas for the party. Can you help me come up with some ideas for DD's HS graduation party on the 24th? I am so unprepared and have NO IDEAS of what to do.

Okay, Sunny, I have to tell you a funny cake story. Last year, Andrew came home from a friend's birthday party and said he had the best cake EVER at it. Now, mind you, we always order our cakes from a local but renowned bakery that does an amazing job on decorating and every cake is 2 layers with a layer of filling. Our favorite is half chocolate w/chocolate mousse filling and 1/2 yellow with strawberries & custard filling. You have to order really early and now they have an entire addition to their building to handle wedding cakes and desserts, too. So, I am thinking Andrew has tried a new kind of cake from that bakery. Nope. He says with this look of awe and the memory of sugar in his eyes "It was HOME-MADE!!! His mom BAKED it! It was DELICIOUS!!!" UGH! Teach me, huh? So, last year he got a home baked cake frosted by a ridiculously untalented decorator (me). He loved it. However, I think Jenn's graduation party cake is coming from the bakery. I do NOT have time or energy to deal with cake for 60+ people.

Carrie -- I sent you a paypal payment for shirts. Cannot wait to have them arrive! I am going to start a packing pile for Disneyland 1/2, including the awesome "Scream Team" shirt I bought from Sunny's website. I am finally getting excited about this trip!

CJ -- I feel the same way about the music. Some of the songs Sunny clued me in to last year remain my favorites in my wogging mix. "Move your azz" is a particular favorite! :rotfl: I also rely on others like "Maniac" from Flashdance and "Right Now" by Van Halen. Awesome, upbeat stuff!

Totally drive-by and I apologize. I have been traveling for business in Kansas City and missed both DD's 5th birthday and her pre-school graduation. :guilty: I just got home late last night and I am scrambling to catch up at work today. I will read and reply later in the week...

Training is going wonderfully these days and I feel incredibly strong. I hope everyone is doing fine :cheer2:

Carrie - I did get your e-mail this morning and will send payment this week. As soon as I get my wits about me :rotfl2:

Best of luck to all in meeting goals this week.

It only takes you a week? I've been trying to get my wits about me fo ryears now!! :teeth:

Wow Sunny, the cake looks great! I could have used your talents at my step daughter's wedding.....the family did everything and at times, it was like the blind leading the blind. Looks like it was a success!

Carrie,

I sent you the payment via paypal. Thank you so much for doing this!

Minnie

Hey TEAM: The socks should be waiting for me when I get home. I'm sitting here at my desk at work, eating lunch, and icing my shins. I'm going to send out e-mails for payment now. Just so you have an idea of how much it will be - the payment is calculated like this:

each pair of socks $6.00
PayPal charges (2.9% + $0.30)
Shipping charge - flat rate ($4.40)

Carrie, THANK YOU! I really needed that.

Sunny, You are such a talented person. Our cakes consist of one box mix, homemade frosting and candles. Each of us gets to pick the type of cake, and we always all choose the same!

Cam, see above.
:lmao:

Haven't checked my email yet. I'm guessing there is a pay-up message.

Sorry everyone, I've got no time left here. Have a great day! Oh wait, it's "Have a Magical day!"

I just hope my big ideas actually come out as good as they sound. Zack is only turning 3 - so I have no clue what to do for a high school graduation! What are her favorite things or hobbies? Maybe a theme geared towards her college? Or maybe the luau theme - that's always alot fun! Hawaiian music, frozen drinks, leis, Hawaiian shirts, tiki gods, limbo, etc. Way back when I graduated h.s. we had my party at my grandparents' house since they had a huge inground pool. And it rained, so we all ended up in the garage. :rotfl: One of my gifts was pretty neat though. I got a bunch of rolls of quarters for doing laundry at school. It wasn't all that exciting to open, but gosh that came in handy once I was 4+ hours from home & had no clean clothes!

I'll have to think about this one while I color in 3 foot tall Tink & Hook this afternoon! pirate:

Taking a lunch break and thought I would read and post...

Melissa - I also could not get to your pics...I want to see them!

Sunny - Love the cake and the b'day party pics....My DD5 has a b'day in August and last year she wanted a snowman cake! :confused3 Well there are no snow man cakes in Aug so I had to make it.... :rotfl2:
Here's where Sunny showed her true brilliance. The line was one thing, then pushing my way back to almost the front of the choral was the other major time sink. I finally got there and Bree's FIL says to me, "you coulda just hopped the fence". They were stationed right against the fence. I could have walked almost traffic-free right up to them and then just jumped over But don't worry, I had a quick come-back for him. I said "oh."
I have to say Bree and I were rather stressed as we waited for you to return! Ron, Bree's FIL always has insight like that. :lmao: He loves to pee in the woods. :rotfl2:
Here is a pic of me and him after my 1st tri...I have lost around 10lbs from the time this pic was taken. :woohoo:

Oh and BTW...Bree is having a BOY!

I am so jealous that you get to color, while I edit a pleading! ;)

We did a tropical theme for DD's sweet sixteen and it was gorgeous and fun, so we are out of luck on that less than 2 years later. A 12 year old friend of ours came up with a great idea, when I told her I thought of doing Past, Present and Future. I think we have decided to have indoors all dedicated to "Jenn Past" with photo albums, HS colors, etc., and have the back porch (where the food will be) and the party tent, etc. all decorated with her university colors and memorabilia for "Jenn Future's". Mixed throughout will be "Congrats Class of 2006" decorations for "Jenn Present". I just ordered a TON of graduation stuff on sale from Oriental Trading -- now I have to find helium for the 5 dozen balloons I ordered. :confused3

Christa-- Awesome pic! Oh, and Bree is having a boy! She is going to be an amazing Mom! How can she miss? She has you as a role model, right?

I did one wedding cake... never, EVER again! That was about the most stressful thing i've ever done. Once I assembled it, it seemed to be ever so slightly crooked. As the reception went on it became noticeably crooked. My eyes were glued on the cake the whole night, fearing it was going to topple over :rotfl2:

Christa-- I remember meeting you in the last 5 minute whooosh before the race started! You arrived while I was off "doing my thing". Speaking of which, next year I'm going behind the port-a-potties, I don't care how visible it is. I was amazed at how many men were in line :confused3 There was a whole line of bushes (and men) on the other side.

Oh congrats to Bree! :cheer2: Boys are so much fun! Boys are physically taxing while girls are emotionally taxing. I know that is a broad stereotypic statement, but it sure has rung true in my family!

I'm resting, resting resting today... and bored out of my mind!

I totaly agree with this broad stereotype! I have 2 girls and sis has 2 boys..her boys are over ALOT so it is like I have 4 children.....and even though her boys are more active, my girls are so the drama! I love them though! They are my little princess: princess: !

Christa-- Awesome pic! Oh, and Bree is having a boy! She is going to be an amazing Mom! How can she miss? She has you as a role model, right?
Cam - :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: You know not what you say! I am half crazy most of the time and fully crazy the rest of the time!

THis is now the 3rd day I have done NOTHING! I have been SO BUSY (got 4 new clients)! PLEASE SOMEONE KICK MY BUTT! :teeth:
I will run 4 or 5 tomorrow and do my LR Friday then bike sometime...I got a little computer thingy that tells me my MPH on my bike! :cool1: That is not the tech name..... :rotfl: Cannot wait to try it out!

OMG....wow the posts have been flying here the last few days. Going to try to catch up a bit. So sorry if I miss anything LOL!

First of all....did a killer KBX today which was much needed after my less than inspired 3 mile run yesterday. For some reason those Tuesday runs are brutal for me....look forward the longer weekend run....just try to get thru those weekday ones. Ugh! But I put the steps in and redeemed myself with a great workout today. Here's hoping I pull 4 miles out of the hat tomorrow morning! :goodvibes

Christa: HAD to comment about MILs "skinny" comments. OMG. girl you look amazing...you are healthy...and I'd kill for your pace and talent! Can't believe she said that to you. You really look amazing!!! WTG! :cheer2:

Judy: Oh my....broken toe :(. Poor eyes. And yet you still got up and did your thing. You totally rock!!! :grouphug: You are such an athlete!!!

Sunny: That cake is amazing! My goodness...you are so talented!!! And the party looked fun. I know you're feeling down, what with all your injuries and illness, but I have to say that you still look fantastic! So don't worry...you'll get back into it in no time. Just let yourself heal! :grouphug:

Cam: What a great idea for the graduation party! I LOVE it!!! And I'm so proud of that University of Delaware blue and gold :cheer2: :cheer2: ! I'm sure the party is going to be a smash hit!!!

Kristi: Love the Peter Pan party idea. I was actually thinking of doing something similar for my 6 year old's b'day. We ended up doing a Mulan/Chinese New Year theme based on when her big day fell. But I soooo love the Peter Pan idea!

Carrie and Dave: Thanks to both of you for all your hard work with our team merchandise!!!! :grouphug:

I'm wondering if anyone here has tried eDiets.com, if so, what do think about it? I'm going to join and was wondering if anyone has had success on the plan. Thanks

With all the talk of birthday cakes, I just have to post a picture of DS's birthday cake this year that DW (crzy4pooh/Lynnda) made. I thought it turned out great although she kept finding little things wrong with it. She did keep me from putting the candles where the engines were though

(In case you don't watch Playhouse Disney, this is Rocket from Little Einstein's :) )

I'm SO far behind...

Melissa - Amazing job - congrats on finishing despite all the hurdles.

Dave - Absolutely you should do the Olympic event. You are not a fraud! You have just as much right to be there as anyone else.

Judy - You poor thing! Eyes and a little toe too? I've done the little toe twice too, and know how bad that hurts. But you're right - there's nothing they can do, so you might as well run through it!

Cam - Shall we split a case of Aleve? After I got your list of how to prepare for the Minnie, I took 2 Aleve before the race and felt great, so I've added it to my pre-race regime. It certainly seemed to help last weekend too! Stretching and Aleve will fix anything. And the graduation party sounds wonderful! I have to keep that idea in mind for 3 years from now!

Minnie - Great news - please take it easy.

Sunny - Awesome cake! And I would never look at your picture and think "sorry state" - you look great!

Kristi - Amazing party plans. Good luck pulling it all together.

CJ - I love the ExMon story - I've always wondered who it was that kept getting in my way!

Nancy - Did you get any of Alberto? We actually got enough rain that it caused major flooding all day and roads were closed all over town. The largest mall closed due since it was under water!

Carrie - Will send payment your way.

I didn't have any plans of doing anything tonight, but got home from work and DH said he was going running and I was coming with him even if just to walk. So I put on the shoes and headed out and ended up doing 2.75 miles. I walked most of it since DD ended up going with us, but at least I went! I was really sore - read an article in Sunday's paper about a new trend of using exercise balls in place of your office chair, and tried it yesterday, and all I can say is that it does work the muscles!

Jackie

wfloyd -- thanks for posting the picture. Lynnda -- that is absolutely awesome! I cannot believe how gorgeous the frosting looks -- very professional! BTW, that bakery I mentioned in my earlier post? That woman used to bake cakes for friends, then sold them out of her garage, and finally took a chance and opened a little storefront. Very quickly, she was so busy that she'd stop taking orders weeks before a date. Ultimately, she expanded her store and then moved to a larger location. Talk about local woman making good. People come from 4 states for her cakes! Yours, Lynnda, certainly looks as good as or better than anything sold at this bakery. Congratulations!

Jackie -- Congratulations on getting out and walking when it would have been so easy to take up residence on the couch! :thumbsup2 :cool1:

Hey, Judy -- How are your eyes? And your little toe? Hoping you are feeling better!

Sunny -- glad you rested today. I hope you aren't feeling any ill effects from your workout at the gym. Take care!

Okay, I keep doing these short posts because the darn server keeps getting busy and losing what I write.

I am pleased to report that since Sunday, I worked out 3 nights in a row (tonight is a rest night which worked out well since we had DS's school awards program and a family meeting at starbucks) AND I followed my WW plan to a tee and ate well enough each day that few points were spent on anything other than fuel.

Thanks for keeping me on track, everyone! Disneyland, here I come!
