aladdinsgirl said:This is the perfect intro into my confession. I don't know if anyone remembers, but back in February, someone asked the question how old everyone was. I came into the thread late and said something like "going back to last week, I'm 27", I finished my post and went on my merry way. Hours later I checked the thread and everyone was wishing me a happy birthday, because it looked like I said last week I turned 27 (I guess I should have said, going back to an earlier post, I am 27). I thought, oh I won't say anything, just go with the flow, but I feel SO bad--even 5 months later I feel bad. I took birthday wishes that don't belong to me!!!![]()

So, let me go on record and say that my birthday is not in February, it is July 19 and I will be 28. Whew! I feel much better now!!
And HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MEL!!!!!!!![]()

That is sooo funny!!!!
My b-day's in August. All the girls at work used to do a little gift adn sing to you on your b-day. Well, on my 30th, I was not a happy camper and was very glad that no one remebered. A little surprised, but overall relief was teh feeling.
Fast forward a little over a month and I was back from a 1-week vacation, when I was called to the front desk. Imagine my surprise, when I was given a gift and sung too. Well, they caught my surprise and said, "Hah! We surprised you! You thought going away for your b-day would get you out of it!" They were exactly one month off. Well, I couldn't offend them when they were doing such a nice thing, so I celebrated a month off for about 2 more years. One year, my boss asked me about it and I had to confess. Finally, I told someone who told the others and we got a big laugh out of it. Every year, I really dreaded pretending on my "other" birthday.
Thanks for the laugh Krista!!! Best one I've had in ages! However, I will refrain from giving any birthday wishes next week, as you've already had them for this year.
