I'm back!
HOly cow, I'll never catch up. I got to about page 6 of last week's thread, but if I wit to post unitl I completely catch up, I'll never make it.
I had hoped to do my trip and race reports today, but seem to have had a relapse of my cold.
Have we seen Kevin yet??????
Since I got home bery late Friday, I am still in withdrawl. However, it's been eased greatly by Registering for the Minnie! Huge thanks to all that convinced my dh he should make me do it!
I miss everyone already. This was my best WDW trip ever. meeting so many and rooming with Cam and Howard so I had someone to share my DIsny stories with was great.
The race started great. Nothing hurt! Unfortunately, as you may have noticed by the fact taht I was so hot that I bared my belly (yuck! My apologies to all who saw), it was wayyyyy tooo hot for me. I'm just glad that I made it and did not bneed medical assitance after teh race. More details when I do my race report. Huge thanks to all teh WISHers who encouraged me from the sideline or when they passed me. You are all wonderful!!!!!!!
Kim - If you can't do Amazon, let me know and I'll get a copy of MfM and ship it to you.
Heather - Goofy? Really? You are insane! Way to go!!!!
PS - We are doing the full next year. Still not insane enough to do the goofy.
However, dh is talking about doing Deteh Detroit full in laste October. ??? ANyone know if 10 weeks is enough time to recover adn prep for anohter one?

I realized how much I felt like a part of this group and how much that I needed that to keep moving.
Being my first ever long distance event, I was happy just to finish it and not get swept. But I feel badly that so many of you are disappointed. Don't be too hard on yourselves please. Look, it was HOT. Really darn HOT! Please cut yourselves some slack for that. You finished, doesn't that count for something? Well, I'm proud of every one of you anyway.
I'm certainly no expert, but I just want to give you my two cents on something I have been reading about here lately. If you are right now just starting, please reconsider going Goofy in January. Those folks who just went Goofy last weekend have worked long and hard to get there. I'm pretty sure they didn't just start running last January. I'm not saying you can't do it, I'm just saying RESPECT THE MILES. 39 miles is a LONG way, It's a heck of a commitment to training. It's time consuming and hard! Don't take the Goofy lightly. That's all I'm saying.
We didn't catch anything. Except a severe case of PDD.
