(Now please don't tell any other Steeler fans you know that a fellow Steeler fan is saying kind words about the Pats. I may be lynched).
What the heck! I'll lynch you myself. And maybe the Steelers can make funny commercials to laugh at themselves, but at least we have the grace to lose a game with dignity.
Hey, everybody, happy Monday!!!!! YAY for the GIANTS!!!! (Yes, you can be fans of one team and root for other teams when your team isn't in the game.) I'm really happy for them!
I'm going to try to catch up, but it's been a busy week and it's only Monday afternoon!
Cam and Howard--Please pass on my congrats to Andy! A 20 mile hike without any training is incredible! And you 2 crazy's with your polar bear plunge? WOW!!!
Stephanie--I think you are making the right decision to slow things down this year and concentrate on the half instead of Goofy. I got really burned out on running last summer and it was a struggle to get out there and run every day, I even dreaded the short 4 or 5 milers. Take some time to fall in love with running again.
Kevin--Good to see you again! I can't wait to read your novel. How are your dogs doing?
Angie--Did you see the new Runners World? There was a little blurb about Tim Bordland in there, about him running with the kids in the wheelchairs for AT. Congrats on running 3 miles!!!
Carol--

We are getting quite the showing from the Atlanta area! I'm glad you decided to run the half, I read the other thread and I have to tell you, I was sorely disappointed with the ToT too. The marathon is run so much better than ToT, if only they could correct the missing medal mistake.
I am very happy to say that the tiredness is quickly decreasing and I'm able to stay up later than 7:30! I did almost 7 miles this weekend, 3 miles running on Friday and 3.75 miles of walking on Sunday afternoon. I was supposed to go 4 miles, but I had Hines with me and the poor dog was absolutely dragging at 3.50 miles. We were in front of the house at 3.75, so we headed in. I have to get him trained again, not that long ago he was running 15-20 miles a week and can do 6 miles at a 10:00 pace.
Oh, I'm not sure if the baby's heart rate was in resting zone or not, but I do know it was beating FAST!!!!!
