Good afternoon, WISH teammates!

Remember me? I am so sorry I have been MIA (though I have been posting on the Buzz team thread!) I have been missing you all terribly, though I thank many of my teammates for keeping me updated on how everyone is doing.

to all our new teammates! I LOVE knowing that the universe of lime green shirts grows in numbers and geographically with each passing week. How cool!
First off -- a huge shout out to everyone who raced or trained this weekend. There is so much effort on the part of our team that it would be impossible to congratulate each and every person.
Carrie -- awesome job on the PR.
Great job, Chad!!
Kristi - Having been the beneficiary of your never-ending smile and enthusiasm and energy during a race, I think I can say with some certainty that Angie LOVED every minute of sharing that race with you!
Angie -- I am so sorry you are having blister issues, but kudos to you for pushing through.
Angie -- I hope the job situation works out for you, sweetie! Sending you boatloads of

Oh, and I agree that you are absolutely adorable in your WISH gear. OMG! I can't believe how big DS is getting. Geez, he is gorgeous!
Krista -- so excited to hear how you are doing. Building a crib! OMG! I remember those days. How fun!
There is so much "new" here. I have been completely swamped with some new cases at work and one old one that may prevent me from getting to the Minnie weekend.

I alternate between crying about the prospect of not being there and thanking God for my wonderful career and continued employment.

Howard is busy with his last 6 weeks or so of grad school and will graduate on 5/31.

I know that he is really, really looking forward to training and racing more once he is "only" working.
Speaking of cribs and babies and all that, we had the pleasure of spending a lovely meal with DDalmost20 and her very endearing boyfriend yesterday. They decided we all needed to spend time getting to know each other because they're "serious"!

OUCH!!! I literally remember putting her crib together. I swear I do. My Dad and Howard put the crib together and then my Mom & I took over and put on the bedding. After it was all assembled we realized we'd forgotten the dust ruffle and Howard had to take the mattress out so we could put that on. See? I told you it was like yesterday. Now my baby & her BF are joking about a Disney wedding and an Alaskan cruise for a honeymoon. I am seriously NOT believing that much time has gone by.
On to training. I've been trying to get to the gym for an hour at least 4 weekday mornings, which seems to work out better because I am at the office all too many nights until anywhere between 10pm and 1am and there is just no way to do a LR/W well after 4 or 5 hours of sleep. I damaged my eardrum/inner ear on a quick weekend trip to Denver in mid-March and haven't run/walk much while waiting for my equilibrium to improve. Finally, I got in 8 miles last night on the TM (pace just under 14:30), which was the furthest distance I've done since the marathon.

I also did weight training this morning for the first time in maybe 10-12 months. I've lost a LOT of strength, but am looking forward to building it back up. I've been so freaked out at the prospect of re-injuring the trapezoid muscle that I tore in late September in a freak muscle pump class incident.

But babying it won't get it stronger, so I am proceeding with caution, but proceeding nonetheless.
Looking forward to keeping up this week. Miss you all!
