Just a quick post - supposed to be working on presentation ( Have I mentioned that I have absolutely no motivation to do anymore school work at this point

Krista - Native Floridian - HATES THE HEAT!!!
Just frustrating because the weathere makes or breaks my run, I have a really hard time overcoming it. ON the other hand, being that the MINNIE is the morning after I graduate I think I will float across the finish line.
Lily - Picked up cap and gown today, pondering how to turn the cap into MINNIE ears.
Shan - That's awesome I knew you could do it!!!

BTW Stephanie There are so many conflicting suggestions out there about tapering. We did 9 the week before we did our second 1/2 marathon and this is only a 15k but I know I tend to push myself too much. I don't know what I am going to do, because I was thinking of doing another LR before MIINNIE but that will only be a week before
. Let me know if you get any good advice.

I'm just gonna keep with the plan DH and I have been following. Can't have him show me up this LR. So, I'll be doing 10 miles either Friday or Sunday--with the obligatory 3-5 mile runs during the week up until we leave next Friday. We'll see what happens. The 15K distance will probably be easy for me to PR no matter what, b/c the only other one I've done was in a 30mph headwind! Gotta love these less popular distances for PRs!

I have a theory as to why. My dad was in grad school when I was a baby. He was a bio-chem major and loved to dissect things. We went for a day trip in the Colorado Rockies and he found what he believed was a dead bull snake (~6 feet) and snuck it into the trunk of the car. (My Mom is beyond afraid of snakes). Well, it turned out the snake was not dead. When My mom picked me up, the snake was curled up under me. I was too young to remember, but I bet her response got seared into my brain for life
