If you're talking about Dec 17th, there's a good possibility that it is already booked as the December dates are already available for booking and have been for some time now. If it is January 17th you're wanting to book, January hasn't been released for booking yet. I'm trying to book the 8th and have checked every day for over 2 months now, so I know without a doubt that no January dates have been opened up for booking yet.

The 17th of January, I know it hasn't even been released yet that's why I keep calling every morning. I want that ADR so bad.

I just called to ask about my dates in Jan. The CM said that the dates aren't loaded yet, and that she can't even see to verify if it is happening every night or not.

Still nothing for January. This time my CM told me that IF they are going to offer it in January they would be able to book by the end of the month...

Yes...we attended it last January 8th on my son's 12th birthday. Hoping to be able to book it this January 8th for my son's birthday again. It's the perfect birthday celebration!

Start checking the first week of March for the month of May.

Oh, I sure hope that's not the case. My daughter really wants to do this for her birthday. We've never had a chance to try it before and I thought it would be nice for a special treat. Still hoping it will open up!!

Just called, still nothing! BUT my CM did tell me that the hours are plugged in tp their system and the Dessert Party is definitely happening that night (17th of January), they just haven't been released yet.
Much better then what my CM told me the other day.

That IS encouraging... maybe that means they will open up today!

For the July 4th and I think July 3rd Fireworks, Disney did the same thing with delaying when the Dessert Party was able to be booked. Hopefully for all you people waiting they will open it up soon.

They did, but it was blue and clickable, just with "no tables available." This was different, and now I know why, lolol...

Just got off a *very* lengthy phone call with Dining Reservations. Got an awesome CM who was willing to hand-hold a bit -- thankfully -- and together we figured out what on earth the deal is. This all pertains to 12/30 but may also pertain to the 31st.

At first, he pulled up no available reservations for the dessert party on the 30th. Later on, he mentioned that it's because he was looking at 9PM -- the same time as the party on the 27th (which I was modifying to the 30th) -- and there was no party on the 30th. So if you are pulling up reservations on the website and the CM can't find them, be persistent and see if they can find another way to check.

He pulled up a 10PM dessert party, which he was puzzled by as it seemed very late -- since they hold the party an hour before the fireworks. So he searched again and pulled up a 7PM party. We looked at the schedule for the day and they have Wishes at 8:30, and Fantasy in the Sky (NYE) at 11:50. I'm presuming the hold up involved the decision that because there are two sets of fireworks, there will be two dessert parties. Why they are at 7 and 10 instead of 7:30 and 10:50 I don't know, but that's what is indicated. (I will be interested to watch the board to see whether someone gets further info on what the times really are... or maybe if they're moving the times of the fireworks and it hasn't been updated yet?)

And in case there weren't enough surprises -- the price! It's $39.99 plus tax... $42 and change with tax... *higher* than the highest price ($35.99) listed on Disney's site! I went ahead and moved it, I really hope I don't regret paying the extra cash. (But I know me and I know crowds, and it IS worth the money to be able to see the fireworks without the crush on Main St.)

Anyways -- 30th and 31st are now bookable. Just know which fireworks you want to book for, and know to expect a higher price!

Called tonight, dates for January still not out but you can book through 12/31 now. CM tonight said that dates would not be out until 30 - 40 days before date being booked.

YAY! i'm interested in the dessert party for the 11:50 fireworks on 12/30- but 10:00? I would think that's too early, right? I saw a 10:20 open- should I pick the 10:20 instead of the 10:00? weird. how in the world would we 'hang around' there for 2 hours? Is that possible?

Just got a reservation for the 10pm party on 12/31. I'm really hoping this is actually the NYE fireworks. It was my only option, so I took it
