Question for summer dessert party goers...........do they keep everything really cold, or do the desserts get melty and gooey?

Is the area enclosed or at least have ceiling fans? I too was wondering if everything gets all melty and whatnot?!

I went at end of August/early September 2010 - hot and humid!!! But the desserts never got soggy or spoiled! Everything was kept fresh and cool - I don't reember if there were ceiling fans or forced cool air or ice under the trays but everything was perfect.

We wanted them for June but no such luck getting them! They went fast!

late august partygoer here too ('09 and '10)... no ooey gooey messes (unless it was supposed to be an ooey gooey dessert)... all proper temps... fruit was verrrrry refreshing!

they installed ceiling fans about a year or so ago... it makes a difference...

Of course I went and checked this am only to not see the Aug-Nov dates showing up this am..... once again

But I did notice this .................Maybe they will update the Dessert Party booking ? One can only hope !

The dates are still popping in and out. They weren't there when I checked first thing, then they appeared when I checked at work. Maybe the outage tomorrow will allow them to open up Sunday! How frustrating for those that have their ADR day on Saturday ... it is so nice to be able to do it online!

At this point, and just for my own personel curiosity, i'd like to know the reason for all this Just to finally be able to say " AHHHH that's why they did it that way.... " would help me make sense of that Desert party reservation system.

I have been getting gray hair trying to get a reservation for August 1st! I call everyday and getthe same thing. " a few more days sir". I have been hearing that for a month! The date is clickable on the website but nothing is available! I'm getting frustrated. Why why they just open it. They could book solid with people from this thread alone!!!

For anyone who missed out on the dessert party, are there other fun events in the parks you'd recommend? I've read about others sharing boats for Epcot fireworks, for example.

I've read that review but I think it is like it is with all restaurants - you will always find a bad review and somebody is always complaining... There are tons of positive reviews so we will definitifly give it a try! (if it will be bookable some day...

Hopefully those who aren't a fan will stay away and leave me to my precious dessert food

I read that thread and will take into account their views, but thats what they are to me 'views'

I still want to experience it for the good or the bad. If it's good then thats great, I'll have hopefully had a great night and great memories. If it's bad consider it lesson learnt and move on, I just won't do it again.

I am still excited about going to one and wish they would start taking bookings for october - I know I'm impatient. I'm hoping to go the night before my wedding and have a sort of bachelourette party
