If I had one wish for being at OKW, it would be to have an adult only pool. The Quiet Pools just don't cut it. If you are down here and wanting to have some peace and quiet and just relax out or in the pool, where do you go?

Adult pools, adult restaurants, adult transportation, adult only days at the park... I will sign that petition.

Sorry. But I get so sick of hearing children cry because they are so exhausted or they didn't want to go to epcot, or any of the billion other reasons children cry at Disney. I dread seeing a stroller come my way while on transportation.

Some of the worst behavior I have see has been adults not children.

Good luck keeping WDW open given your criteria. :)

Seems you may be going to the wrong theme parks....

I completely agree. Disney is not just for children. Castaway cay has an adult's only beach. The cruise line has an adult only pool.... Why not a Disney resort? I don't dislike children but it would be nice to have an adult only area.... Even if it was just the hot tub.

We come here a lot. We came here when our children were small and now we bring all of themplus our grandchildren. However, we do come alone at times and would really enjoy the resort or at least a pool without kids. Don't get me wrong, my kids cried, screamed, etc. But those days are over for us and we wouldlove some "quiet time" at the "Quiet pool". I practically had a little kid take my noodle away from me because he wanted it and thought I should share!!! His mom just looked at me like I should give it up!!!! Perhaps those of us who want one should start making noise!

I crawl into my king sized bed in my one bedroom villa and take an afternoon nap when I want some quiet time.

Quiet pools just mean unthemed pool, not a pool without sounds. Try a Sandals resort if you want adults only.

I too would like to see an adult only pool (and I do have three children).

Which one becomes the adult pool? You are always going to get families with children complaining because their neighborhood pool is the adult only pool and they have to walk/drive/ride the bus to a further pool.

Last stay at OKW, we had more problems with adults causing problems at the pool instead of smaller kids. Now if you were talking about 55 and older, it might work out. Sorry you youngsters. :rotfl:

what bothers me are the children that use the hot tubs as their pools, and the parents who tell them to do it:confused3

Am I making up a memory or was there talk about an adults only property on site - maybe like a 200 unit VERY expensive/exclusive spot, possibly connected to 4 Seasons or one of the other top notch hotels?

Maybe that was just a DIS wish thread and not something actually being considered.

Let's do 55 and older! That works! I know what quiet pools mean but it would still be nice to have a "quiet pool"!! without kids!

I'm okay with family pools, but how about adult only hot tubs. The kiddies are always hogging those. Don't they know us old people need the warm water more than they do? lol

That would be soooo nice. When we bought in 92 we were told this was going to be an exclusive place, very few could buy into so we bought in big! That is a disappointment for sure! We enjoy coming here but we would like something, at times, adult, exclusive, etc. I guess thats why we use points so much to cruise!
