Wish for adult pool!

I think if they did implement adult only pools or even lounges it would likely be at a DVC resort. I could see the top of the world lounge getting away with that policy. But it would not be a nice quiet secluded place to hang out. Adult only areas are usually accompanied by bars, pool tables and other such amnenities that the adults will partake in, without having kids present. So it often ends up being a bunch of half drunk to drunk adults that are cussing/swearing and causing a stir....resulting in other people complaining that the adult area is out of control.

But, it would possibly increase attendance throughout the night at TOTW.

I don't think you need a completely restricted pool but perhaps a window of time 2 or 3 times a week at a certain pool that was adults only and maybe leave them open an extra hour or two every evening. People wanting to take advantage of it would just plan their days accordingly but we would not have to pay for another pool.

You'd probably would need to adjust the windows and number of days it was offered depending on the time of year. During the premium seasons where families with kids in school have to take their trips you would need less adult only time.

what bothers me are the children that use the hot tubs as their pools, and the parents who tell them to do it:confused3

Boy do I hear you..we stopped going to the main pool/hot tub at BWV years ago and SSR I once went to go in the hot tub there were11(I counted them) little kids and one adult in the hot tub at the main pool never went over there again...they use it as a swimming pool especially underwater swimming, isn;t that the kiddie pool is for?:confused3
Seems to me that years ago the quiet pools were quiet...don't get me wrong I don't mind children at the pools even it is just the ones that are unsupervised (no one anywhere paying attention to them)or allowed to misbehave...:confused3

Sorry My kids are loud at times but not as loud as my and Wife's 72-83 year old parents... They argued about who was goind to get the window seat on the plane......for openers... You had to see the look on our waiters face when we had a table next to a window on the Dream last week the plane argument was nothing... Children are no match to the havoc these people caused.

In truth I was being mildly serious but my aggravation is not really with the kids as much as it is with the parents who drive them past the point of exhaustion then we all get to hear about it.

It really comes down to the same kind of thing we have discussed with people not taking care of their rooms. It is a lack of courtesy. Just like I should be careful and take care of my room because it is a home I share with many many others who also want to have a nice vacation people should manage their children better for all of those people around them who are also on vacation.

I do not know at what age a child can handle going commando but from what I have observed they at least need to be out of the stroller.

Now it is not a major deal. I probably only have 4 or 5 encounters a day if I eat on Disney property with all of those DDPs flying around and spend much time at the parks and on transportation. I do all of that much less now. I have had really bad experiences a few times with children who were just acting wild while their parents just ignored it but usually it is just the crying and the worst place for that to happen is at a meal. I am not sure why the child can't be taken outside until it calms down but apparently even that is too much to ask.

Sorry, I was trying to give you the benefit of the doubt. Although I agree with you that if children get cranky and unruly the parents should deal with the issue, but I do not think having "Adults Only" anything (with the possible exception of a restaurant or two) is a good idea. Really, you are at WDW, which is marketed towards families. Children come with ther territory!

The part about adult only park days, transportation, restaurants was the joke portion. I have had a few really negative experiences but for the most part I just try to ignore it. It really gets to me the most when trying to have a quiet dinner with my wife. The DDPs have opened up even the pricier restaurants to families so as a result we don't eat on property that much anymore.

My kids are hoping for a kids only casino in las vegas, with no drunken under dressed adults being loud and out of control. But keep ur fingers crossed for them.

an adult only night at each park once a week!

My wife and family have more issues with the adults on scooters than the strollers although my ankles have been thrashed more than a few times by strollers.

We try to avoid the Kingdom during the middle of the day to avoid the most child crowded periods.

We would love an adult pool or at least adult time blocks like 6-10 pm

Before joining DVC i stayed many nights at the All Star and Pop....my God....i never know how so few kids could make so much racket!

They can but its all about the magic and pixie dust of going to the casino...lol Cant most just swim at home...lol

This thread has continued to move away from any meaningful DVC related discussion, so I'm going to go ahead and close it.

Obviously, it is doubtful DVC will make any move in an adult only direction, especially considering even Victoria & Albert's serve children, even though they have no children's menu.
