WISh Check-in week of September 7

I'm down a pound this week..... which I guess is good because last weekend we'd gone to NYC for a short break.

I maintained while I was there (imagine going to the Carnegie Deli... land of the fantabulous cheesecake- and not having ANY) but was SO looking forward to my 20 lb clippie this week.

Oh well, it was not to be. DH is doing Atkins with me, and he's down to within 10.5 lbs of his first goal. I wish I could say the same.

I need a SERIOUS kick in the behind, Kath...... :)

I am happy to report that even with celebrating my birthday and the announcement that we are going to be grandparents again I lost a pound. So all in all it was a wonderful week for me. Great job to all those that lost and stayed the same. And if there was a gain don't be discouraged, hang in there!

Dan, I think that that WF headed north to my house this morning after visiting you! I am down that same 5 pounds, so have changed my clippie. (took me ages to find it, but I persevered.)

Guys, we are doing great! LOTS of losers and those maintaining by not giving into those voices in our heads. The bloat fairy must be living near you yo-yos! ;) Love the new clippies!

Debbie and *Flower*, consider yourself kicked! Debbie, your journal will help, I'm sure. I know that using Fitday has made a real difference in me. I can plug in foods and plan as well as record. It keeps my focus.

Becka, I'm so sorry that that toe is toe-tally affecting you! :( It is a shame about the changing internet policies at work, because I know how difficult it can be finding time with little (and big) ones at home. I went to the dollar store and bought a small timer for the computer. And I really do limit myself. I can't get to the riddle thread anymore, :( but a couple of minutes checking/lurking on the Canadian, Budget and WISH boards help keep me in touch. (In fact, I've been doing this post in stages!)

Take care, everyone. We CAN do this!!!

Debbie-

I COVET your clippie!!!

Thanks for the kick, maybe now I can get my you-know-what in gear........ :teeth:

I had a great week this week! I'm down 3.5 pounds and I get to add my 25 pound clippie!!

I know I don't post as much as I should but I still stop by and read posts. You guys have no idea how much you inspire me to stick to this! I've lost 49 pounds total since 01/02/03 and a lot of the credit goes to all of you. My goal is 100 pounds and I'm almost half way there!!

Love you all!

since I posted on the weigh in thread. That's because I haven't had a thing to post. Since the first 5# loss, I haven't lost one stinkin' pound :( I'm getting really frustrated because my dear, sweet S. O. continues to lose 2-5 # per week. So far he's dropped 20+ pounds to my 5. I'd give up this diet thing except that he is losing weight that he desparately needs to lose for health reasons.

Kitster,

I'm glad you've stuck around and that you posted. Plese don't be too discouraged. Also, please try not to compare your weight loss to SO's....men will almost always lose much quicker than women because of the way we are designed....women naturally have more body fat, and men naturally have more muscle, which enables them to lose faster. Perhaps you could post what you've been doing in a separate post with all the details, and the rest of us can try and help you figure this thing out?

As for myself, I've gained 2 pounds (1 just from yesterday). However, I don't consider this a bad thing at all because I'm at a period in my program called metabolic adjustment where I can start eating carbs (in moderation of course!) again. So I've been eating carbs since last Thursday and since then have only gained 1 pound. The program says it's okay to gain as long as it's within 1.5 pounds of what I weighed when I started metabolic adjustment, so I'm actually okay! I just have to be sure that I maintain this weight, if I gain more, then I'll have to make some adjustments.

I OH MY ---weight is 153#. I was doing great until I became intangled with the dog's lead and the last four steps of our back deck. ( Let me remind you the puppy is a 125 # Alaskan Malamute). I have been laid up all summer----but as of thursday the surgeon released me to carry on. I would like to shed 20 # between now and Jan. I must limit my intake of proteins due to kidney failure ----Water, fruits and Veggies with a little serving a meat will be the mainstay. I hope to get back to full walking distance in the near future. Oh, and I know I'll drink a pepsi now and then---sugar drinks are my down fall.

I know I've kept off a few pounds from my initial Wish membership---But I think I'll just start over.

Thanks for the listen.

to Nativetexan, and Ray Sharpton, and PerfectMatch300---I've been lurking----WAY TO GO----!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just back from WW weigh in- our meetings moved to Sunday afternoons- YUCK!!!! My afternoon weight is always higher than my morning weight, and the day after Saturday is usually awful for me! (If I'm going to overindulge in food and drink, it's probably going to happen on Saturdays!)

I've been just gaining and losing the same three pounds for the past several weeks... I'm at 47 pounds gone and wondering if I'll EVER see that 50 pound clippie!

But I'm still here, eating on plan and exercising, and just trusting that the Whoosh Fairy will find my house someday soon!

Keep it up, losers!

Well I'm switching my weigh in day from Monday to Sunday. Monday morning is crazy enough already and now that I am measuring it will be just too much to handle. I lost 2 lbs this week (okay I lost them sometime b/w weigh in last monday and tues morning) bring me to 210 and 18lbs gone. I hope that I'll get my 20lb clippee next week. I have also lost 2 1/2 inches - 1 from my tummy and 1 1/2 from my hips.

Keep up the great work everyone!

I'm down two pounds this week for a total loss of 48 pounds. I'm hoping to reach goal sometime in October. Congratulations to all the losers & maintainers. Hugs to those who gained. Hang in there. We can do it. Have a great week everyone!

I lost 3.5 pounds this week. Moving toward my first clippie! I had a good, productive weekend, full of exercise and water!

Good luck everyone. Down, down, down!

Newbie here. I lost 3lbs this week. I was really good on the exercise...45 min on treadmill and 200 abroller crunches 5days this week. I did well on eating. We had pizza 1 night and I stopped before going too far! Then had girls night and went to the Cheesecake Factory (but had NO cheesecake..yeah me). I agree with that low-carb candy. When I tried Atkins I got hooked on that. I bought some Slimfast bars the other week and ate 2 ina row! I'm not getting any more of those!! Keep up the hard work everyone!

I've lost 2 lbs this week! :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc
Finally back on track! :teeth:
I also picked up my 25 lb clippie midweek - had lost 1 lb at that point, but it's a total of 2 lbs for the week!
Total lost overall is 32 lbs, 26 lbs on WISH!

Now, if I can just stay on track during our 3rd anniversary trip to Veras this week.......
I think I can. I have a good, Atkins friendly plan in place (well, execpt for that Krispy Kreme that I'm planning to have-just 1, really, just 1!) We're going to eat at a lot of buffets where I can fill up on meat from the carving station & not be tempted by fries or baked potatoes. We will be doing A LOT of walking, too. Last year when we went I was not even dieting, ate anything I wanted & still managed to lose weight, so I'm confident that I'll be able to stay pretty much on plan this time.

Congrats to all you "losers", and if you didn't lose please hang in there. Those lbs will come off!

After thinking I was out of my funk two weeks ago (when I reported a 1.5# lose) I am back in it. We went away for the long Labor Day weekend and I have been off program since. I did some stress eating this week, but not too terribly much, I only ate two Reese Peanut Butter cups! I am still faithfully exercising as you can see from my clippie, but I am only maintaining because I am not tracking my points or journaling. I look at this as a speed bump, I will make it over it one of these days, right now I am just enjoying my success to date and maintaining.

Congrats to all our WISH losers, great job! For the those who are maintaining or gaining, hang in there!

Hi - down two pounds this week for a total of 11 pounds since I started (if you don't count all the gains and relosses LOL).

My weigh in is tonight.... no meeting last week due to Labor Day and it is NOT good for me to miss a week.:( I should have gone to a meeting on Tuesday or Wednesday. Live and learn!!

I'll post my +/- tonight after Weigh In!!

Hiya! How wonderful everyone is doing!! Whether we lost or not, everybody is very motivated!!:bounce: That is awesome!!
I am not reporting a loss this week, although I think all that pilates gunk is working because I lost 1 inch in my chest, and 1/2 inch in my waist! Although it is not a good thing for me to lose it in my chest....
Great job everybody!! Have a great week!!:Pinkbounc

First week with WISH really pleased to have lost 2lb. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
Went to a birthday party yesterday - proud of myself as I kept to my diet
Hope everyone has a great week:wave:

Started a new program yesturday and my new start weight is 213.5 with a goal of 160. I look forward to success.
