WISh Check-in week of September 7

first week on Atkins and WISH I lost 6 lbs.

I'm sold on Atkins- I can't believe I have lost weight eating burgers, steaks, peperoni , real cheese , eggs and last night for dinner I had fillet mignon.

GO FIGURE????? what an eyeopening week this has been

Welcome to all the newbies! We're glad to have you join us! :)

becka, please don't give up! Your 35 clippie is an inspiration to me, and don't forget how far you've come. You CAN do this! Believe me, I can sympathize with you. I spent a LONG time down in the dumps, and in the end I regret all the time I wasted when I could've been losing some of these pounds. I'm so sorry your toe is hurting you still. I hope you feel better soon! Know that we're all cheering for you even if you can't log on at work! {{{HUGS}}}

KathyTx, you look GREAT! I was so impressed with how you stayed on plan at the Rainforest Cafe in Dallas, so I know you have the willpower to stick with it until those pounds come off. Plateaus stink, but you CAN make it! Your weight loss is incredible, and you WILL get that 50 pound clippie!

I have lost 3 lbs. this week!!:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: I got my 25 lb clippie and can't get this song out of my head:

(to the tune of Matchmaker, Matchmaker from Fiddler on the Roof)

"Whoosh Fairy, Whoosh Fairy grant me my whoosh
Take my pounds
Make me thin

WF, WF, grant me my whoosh
and make it a perfect day"

I hope that you all now have this song in your head.
:D :D :D

Hi everyone! Congrats all the way around - it sounds like evryone is doing great. I am still relatively new here and have not yet gathered up the courage to get on the scale (at least not since I got on it when I started here in order to report my start weight). However, I can report that since taking up my various challenges (WISH, Onelander, Trick or Treat, Exercise, and 100 days Cheat Free), I have been a very good girl. I have won my 1st week exercise clippie, and a 4 day cheat free clippie! Plus, I have firmly outlined my program and I am keeping track of all my calories on the fitday.com program. I feel pretty good about my progress. Maybe by next week I'll get on the scale and be able to report my first weight loss!.

Keep up the good work everyone. Your support and good wishes keep me inspired - Thanks for everything!

Jennifer

Hi all!!! I just finished reading the entire thread and it sounds like everyone is having success!!! Let me add to it by saying that I have lost another pound!!! Last week was a great week, I really stayed on plan and my new puppy Jake joined the family. Jake is now overseeing my exercise program. I wish everyone continued success!!!

I gained one pound this week, but I can tell that it's water retention (darned BF). It actually took 3 times on the scale to come up with ONLY a one pound gain ;)

Congrats to all this week.

Well, I am up 2 lbs. for the week. Under a stressful weekend I went off plan & had pizza last night. I'm certainly regretting it this morning. Anyways, I have started my Atkins induction today - so far so good.

Congrats to everyone who has lost & I hope to join you all next week!

I weighed in this morning, and lost 1 pound! This despite a weekend at WDW, and a cutback in my walking due to plantar faciitis. (My heel is still hurting, but not constantly, and it actually felt better after walking this morning.)

Just 1/2 pound to goal. I feel like I've been "almost" there forever. :(

Congrats to all on such great success this week :)

I decided not to weigh in this week. We are leaving for Disney Cruise on Friday and I am already panicked that I will have to give back my clippie when I return and weigh in.

Still have NOT managed to exercise a single day yet. My 8 month old twins and the 2 year old just cant seem to get on any kind of a nap schedule which would give me a few minutes to myself. That is my goal when I return to find a way to make the exercise happen.

At least on the cruise I will have no excuses for not exercising since the kiddos are staying home with grandparents (this is our tenth anniversary celebration)

You all continue to motivate me and inspire me and I hope you all have a visit from the whoosh fairy while I am cruising (and for myself I am hoping not to have to turn in my clippie when I get back)

Thanks again for being such a wonderful group

Well, I had good intentions of keeping up with the check in thread but here it is only Monday and there are already 4 pages. So many people weigh in on Sunday and Monday, it's hard to keep up.

This is everyone left who posted to page one.

CDoobee What luck you maintained last week. You must not have eaten nearly as horribly as you thought. Well, that is over and done and you can't go back and change it so don't beat yourself up over it. You are back on track and newly focused on goal.

I've missed seeing you around here, it's good to see you posting again.

NCRedding Very good! Another pound gone forever and you are sounding very determined today. You're doing great now get back to working out and you will lose even more quickly.

I'm proud of your determination, it is very motivating.

nattyk Losing 9 pounds in two weeks is excellent progress. You are definitely on the way to goal and nothing can stop you now.

Thanks for posting here, I love reading about everyone's progress.

addicted_to_WDW Excellent! Another two pounds gone forever. You're doing so well. I'm so happy and proud for you. You're going to be trading up that cipart soon, too.

Onward and downward!

Katholyn

I even made mum4jenn come read the scale not once but twice! Was expecting a bad week with labor day and my dd and granddaughter visiting over the labor day weekend.I know im loseing and my clothes feel looser and still getting a ton of comments(ever wonder what they were saying about you before wish?)But still see my self as supersize as my brother would call me,As my dw said i didnt put it on in 2 months and i sure i wont take it off in 2 months,Thanks mum4jenn for keeping me on the right path!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc Onward and downward,Have a great week! And did i tell you we are going to Disney world for thanksgiving/birthday/christmas/15 year wedding present.

Ah, the moment of truth... I just got back from WDW yesterday, after 11 days of eating anything I wanted. I did gain 5 pounds (I removed my clippie, but will have it back soon!) but since I had been prepared to gain all 15 pounds back, I figure I did okay. I started induction again this morning, along with my DH. I have a headache today, but know that I will feel so much better in just a few days, and it will all be worth it.

Have a blessed day!

Jeanne

I lost .6 this week (2 weeks really). Considering we missed a meeting last week- I'm pretty happy!!

Still holding at the 12 pound mark.
I never did live up to my exercising twice a day deal that I made with myself during my time off. But, I have re-evaluated what I'm eating and I think I might be eating too much fat. So I'm going to eat leaner cuts of meat this week and see how that goes...and go easier on the cheese. I can't cut out all of my cheese though...it's my favorite part of the day! ;)

Have a great week everybody! :)

Stayed the same this week, but at least it wasn't a gain...onwards and downwards next week!

I had a good week this week--4 pounds!!! Yiippee!!!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc I love those good weeks, they make the weeks where you don't lose much easier to bear!! I think I'm due for one of those next week-cause I'm pre-TOM this week.

Wow. I couldn't believe 4 pages and it's only Monday evening!! We're having a good week for check ins!!

Oh!! And I meant to say I enjoyed the music also!! Made it much easier to sing along with

Whoosh Fairy, Whoosh Fairy, grant me my whoosh....

I lost 2 pounds this week. It was actually for the past two weeks, and since I have started exercising and went on vacation I think I did great! This actually gives me my 15lb clippie, but I actually had to go back and re-subtract my amounts from where I started. I guess I forgot to add a week once. I had a feeling 2 weeks ago when I added my points that I forgot something, but it wasn't until I saw Katholyn's post where she listed all the members and start dates that it allowed me to check. So yeah to the new clippie!!

Congrats to everyone!

Melanie

Congrats. to all you big losers, everyone is so motivated and working really hard for this. I lost 2lbs this week, which really suprised me. It is my TOM and I usually put on around 7lbs due to water retention. I see the water retention on my feet, ankles and legs, but no 7lbs, go figure!!! :D

Hello All - congratulations to all loosers this week, I see lots of us have done well! If you stayed the same - I am sure the loss will show up soon! If you gained hang in there - keep doing the right things to get healthly!!

I must say, I am delighted this week and yes, I am very proud of myself! That is really something I don't usually say! I have lost 3lb again this week - I have pushed myself and worked hard at it and I am so pleased! This brings my total loss to 2 stone or 28lb (24lb of that was on WISH) - I am so pleased to have reached that 2 stone marker before my trip to WDW! I had set myself a mini goal to have lost 2 stone by the time we went to WDW and I have made it! I feel so happy today - I really do believe I can loose the other 6 stone or 84lb that I have to go!

Well, my new mini goal is to loose another pound before we leave for the airport first thing on Sunday morning - that way my 25lb clippie can inspire me and see me on my way to WDW!!
Sorry that this post goes on a little!
Onwards & Downwards,
Claire:wave:
