**Winkers goes to England~It's so hard to say goodbye**

That's good! I'm leaving monday morning for "girls camp". I'll be in charge of 15 , 15 year olds for a week. And by camp, I don't mean cabins and a cook.........we have tents and we cook for ourselves. good times!

What bet did you lose???

Seriously, I have nothing but admiration for you -- I don't think I would last a night before I went all Blair Witch Project (crying with snot running down my face while I begged to go home)!

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Actually , I love going. I missed the last 2 years, and this is Bailie's first year. It's part of our church's youth program for 12 to 18 yr old girls. All together there's about 150 girls, so I'm lucky that I only have to worry about 15.
The part I hate is getting everything ready before.

This may be hard to believe, but I end up actng just like them by the end of the week from sleep deprivation!;)

How do you even begin to know what to take??? I would be so lost!

This will be a great mom-daughter experience for you and Bailie! What great memories! Take some pics for us!

Years of doing! And the leaders in charge let us know what we need. I grew up going and have the best memories from it. it's great for the girls to see us leaders as "human"!:rotfl2:

There will be picturesbut not of me! I'm a fraid my make-upless face and frizzy hair would break the camera!

Hey Winkers! I haven't had a chance to catch up yet, but I wanted to tell you I saw your twin sister at DL! (I don't think she was an evil twin :goodvibes ) She was 3 people behind us in line for Toy Story - she had a daughter that looked alot like your daughter, and a son who looked like your youngest. I kept looking and thinking, "Winkers didn't say she was going to DL, did she?" I couldn't take a pic w/o looking like a stalker - there was nothing around us to take a pic of. :rolleyes1

I wish I had been there! Maybe flat winkers has come to life?:rotfl2:

Love the PP photos, especially the Stitch one!

I would have hated being around that swearing girl, where were her parents? :headache:

Cherie,

Good luck at Girls Camp. My daughters loved it when they went. One year the 3 of them dyed their blond hair with blue Kool Aid and came home with green hair:rotfl2: . I am really glad to teach 10 13-16 yo boys in Sunday School. No camp for me. Let those scout leaders have that week of fun!

We got to have fireworks here in West Jordan. The typical Utah kind but we had a fun family "Backyard of Fire" cause we weren't spending the money to send all 8 granddaughters to Hannah Montana at Stadium of Fire at BYU.

I've always wanted to go to stadium of fire.............but not when Miley Cyrus is there. She annoys the heck out of me!

I love girls camp........I have to keep reminding myself of that! I'm all packed and ready. Tomorrow I have a 5 hour drive! Luckily all the girls will be on buses, so it'll just be me and my friend. OUr last moments of peace for the week!

10 boys! AAAAAHHHHHH! I'll take girls camp! Oh and I"m also the young women pres.

Great update and pic's! Next trip we are going to give photopass a good workout. That is my new goal. Every time we go we say we are going to use them a lot but we end up coming home with very few and last time we had ZERO photopass pics. :scared1:

Sorry about miss potty mouth behind you guys. I would have been irritated too. Especially for 45 minutes!!!

I absolutely would've said something to the girl behind me, but that's me. I have a low tolerance when it comes to cuss words being bandied about like it's commonplace (sadly it is). Okay for her, but not okay for those around her.:confused3

Did D Jay ever catch the hint?

Hint? What hint?

The girl behind us was not only foul mouthed, she yelled in her cell phone constantly. They were trying to find a leader or parent or relative or someone. Poor Evan was right in front of her and really wanted to turn around and yell at her. We must have trained our kids right because he showed respect and did not yell at her even though she was showing no repsect to us or anyone around her while Evan got more and more frustrated. :headache: It got to the point that I was ready to tear into her. I'm normally not that way. I may complain to Cherie and tell her what I want to do, but usually don't do it. It's my way of blowing off steam. Anyway, I got video of the WHOLE Fantasmic show. I watched it again a few days ago and saw how really cool it was. My camera kept focusing on the person's head in front of me a few times, but you could see the majority of it. :goodvibes I started recording just before it started so we didn't have to hear the "words of destruction" from our nearby neighbor. :scared: We enjoyed it alot. 3 years ago when we were at DL there were little kids that kept standing up in front of us even though CMs told them several times to sit down. During the show there was one kid that kept getting in the way. I told him to sit down so that we could see. His parent finally chimed up, but at me and told me not to yell at her kid. Anyway, a poor experience changed around this year by seeing fantasmic in a different environment. BTW, we didn't bring the tripod, so my arm was killing me by the end of Fantasmic. Thought I did a good job filming it, though.

Great update and photopass pictures! DH and I are the ones that probably would have said something to the swearing girl.....too many years working with delinquent kids and out of control parents.

Cherie, I can't believe you're out roughing it in a tent!!!! I'll take the girls, but I would take them to the nearest Holiday Inn and we could forage for food at Taco Bell! So not a camping girl, here, who married into a camping family. If was tough, but I won DH over to the glories of vacationing in a hotel!

I would have told that [bleepity bleep bleep bleep] girl to shut her [bleepity bleep bleep bleep] mouth, so my [bleepity bleep bleep bleep] kids didn't pick up her [bleepity bleep bleep] language. So {bleepity bleep bleep bleeping] inconsiderate.

:rolleyes1

Seriously, though. How rude.

Have fun at your camp!

:lmao: People cursing around you and/or kids ticks you off so much that you want to cuss at them. Pretty ironic and kinda negates the point but I know just how you feel!

Cherie - Just finished your trip report...so funny! You guys seem like a Family Full of Humor, which is the best kind.

Good luck at Girls Camp! I'm the new YW pres. here and I'm a little overwhelmed, but I LOVE camp and went as a leader, pre-kids.

Keep the updates coming! And great Photopass pictures, by the way.
