**Winkers goes to England~It's so hard to say goodbye**

I'm sad. It's about 10:30 p.m. on the 4th of July and I'm sitting at home inside. We had crazy weather today so it was windy and raining. My town also banned fireworks this year. The kids are with the neighborhood kids in our back yard watching the lucky people just over the county line who get fireworks. Our town does a little pathetic fireworks show, but it's not worth going to. I grew up in a small town that had a Norman Rockwell sort of celebration. So to make myself feel better, I'm going to relive some of my trip............................................................Ok, and I said if Jordan updated I would to.;)

After our dinner and Hunters rousing rendition of I'm a little teapot, we didn't have plans untill Fantasmic. We hadn't seen it before, well except for a bad experience at disneyland 3 years before. Yes we were scarred for life. But since I had heard how much better it was at DW we decided to give it a try.

The voyage of the little mermaid was another thing that we hadn't done. For some reason I thought it was a sort of ride. Where have I been. So, after getting a little lost we made our way to the line, just in
time for the last showing. We were about to line up when Ethan said he had to go poo.........words we don't like to hear. He tends to hibernate in there and it always takes at least 10 minutes. Oh darn! I can't take him so D.jay get the honor!:rotfl2:
The rest of us waited by the little mermaid and had some fun.....

I think this fish was hungry.......

After what seemed like forever our little pooper came back and we joined in the crowd for Little Mermaid.
We were so squished in there! We were packed like human sardines. Evan had a close encounter of the peep kind..................

This was an atraction like B&theB..........none of the kids realy wanted to see it. Again, they were mesmerized and so glad they did. When will they learn that I am always right? Ok, I know, never. We all realy loved this show. I can't believe I had missed out on it before.

As we exited , D.Jay decided it was time for his potty break...........one would think he could have done that while he spent an eternity with Ethan.........The rest of us walked around the gift shops by the Disney animation place.
I snapped this pic for my little sister who is a big Capt Jack fan.

We were about to leave to meet back up with D.Jay when I saw it. It was love at first sight! Unfortunatley we were in a hury and needed to get to fantasmic..........So I said goodbye to the Belle figurine I had fallen in love with and stoicly made my way out of the store.
I told D.jay about it at least 10 times hoping he'd catch the hint and insist that we race back there to buy it.............I guess I wasn't very good with my hints. He just said "that's nice".:sad2:

When we got to the entrance for Fantasmic there wasn't a line but there was a steady stream of people going up the hill. This hill was a lot longer than I thought it would be. We were about 45 minutes before the show......as we got to the top of the hill and looked down I couldn't believe my eyes! It was completley packed!!! Seriously, where did all those people come from! I don't think there were that many in the park all day at one time. We ended up getting a second row seat bottom left about 2 sections in.

Luckily the kids were tired enough that they didn't complain about the wait.. I think we were all just happy to sit down......that lasted for about 2 minutes untill one of the most obnoxious teenagers sat down right behind us. My kids got an education of every swear word known to man. I had to fight the whole time not to turn around and ask her to shut her mouth. I was so irritated I knew it wouldn't come out nice, so I tried to distract my kids.
I understand a few swear words, I've been know to use a few, but when it's a steady stream for 45 minutes.......even Evan was about to ask her to shut up.

I guess on the up side, I was so anoyed with the girl behind me to really mind all the little bugs that were flying around. They didn't go un-noticed by miss potty mouth however...........she had a few words for them too.;)

My prayers were answered and when the show started she managed to keep the four letter words to a minimum. Can you tell I was a little ticked off?:)

The show was incredible. We loved it! It was a whole different experience from DL. When it was over, I feared that we'd never make it out before morning. We ended up holding hands in 2 groups and making a run for it. I think it took about 30 minutes just to get to the top of the bleachers!

Up next.........these things better be made of pixie dust & gold!

Great pictures Cherie :)

Lovin the jordy and flat jordy stuff hehe

Great Family shot pointin at stitch

Hurray for an update! I love the photopass pictures.

Sorry about no fireworks. It rained on David while he was lighting ours off tonight. Does that make you feel any better?

We were about to line up when Ethan said he had to go poo.........words we don't like to hear. He tends to hibernate in there and it always takes at least 10 minutes.

i bet he'd die if he read this!!! :lmao:

My kids got an education of every swear word known to man.

don't you just LOVE that???? i don't even have kids and i can't stand it. YOU'RE IN DISNEY WORLD SURROUNDED BY CHILDREN.....let's slow down on the f-bombs, shall we? :confused3

glad you enjoyed fantasmic, though. i love that show!

Love the update. Glad to hear you enjoyed Fantasmic. Love the pics. Speaking of people using four letter words. My daughter who is almost 3 heard my neighbor use s***, well now when Lexi gets mad she says ship. :rotfl2: It is funny but I am just afraid she is going to start using the real word when ae go to visit the inlaws at the end of the month. I asked her what she means when she says that and she said she is talking about a rocket ship so she has no idea. I hope to keep it that way for awhile. Sorry to hijack your thread.

there's just no pleasing some people!!!!;)

After Jordan's next update..........
He has you beat even with his LOOOnG break!!:lmao:

Not fair. Jordan gave two updates last time and you only did one, so you still owe us one BEFORE Jordan updates again!
Ditto

hmmmmm, this may take me awhile to come up with an excuse.....but I will find one!;)
That's what they all say:rotfl2:

Oh yea, I did one while he was "out".:thumbsup2

Do I get my treat now?

What sort did you want?:confused3
what's a teat?

I'm not going there!!:rotfl:

Now to read the long awaited Update!!

Great Update Cherie! Iwent to see Lil'Meramaid in Feb and like you thought it was a ride !!It was my first Fantasmic experience in Feb too and have to fit it with family next year !! AWESOME!!

My town also banned fireworks this year. The kids are with the neighborhood kids in our back yard watching the lucky people just over the county line who get fireworks.

Fireworks are illegal in our state as well

We were about to line up when Ethan said he had to go poo.........words we don't like to hear. He tends to hibernate in there and it always takes at least 10 minutes.

Oh I know those words all too well. Is the show outside for The Little Mermaid? When I went many moons ago it was in an air conditioned theater.

I guess I wasn't very good with my hints. He just said "that's nice".:sad2:

My DH would have said the same thing

Sorry about miss potty mouth. We were at a playground and we had a mr potty mouth.

Can't wait to hear about your pixie dust and gold and love your photopass pictures especially stitch

Hey Winkers!
I think your family's experiences with Beauty and the Beast and the Little Mermaid shows are a good example that everyone should try each attraction in the parks no matter what you have heard about them. You never know what it be a stinker and what's a winner!

Hurray! An update!!! :cheer2: Great PP pics from DHS! Those turned out so cute!!!

Sorry about the foul-mouthed teenager! I always hate when that happens -- Connor is usually the one that very loudly says something like, "Why is that girl swearing like that???" He has no inhibitions. :rotfl:

I don't like fish.....;)

PEEPS!!!!! Nice fist pump!!!

I absolutely would've said something to the girl behind me, but that's me. I have a low tolerance when it comes to cuss words being bandied about like it's commonplace (sadly it is). Okay for her, but not okay for those around her.:confused3

Did D Jay ever catch the hint?

Great Family shot pointin at stitch
some of us are little more commited to the "pose" than others!

Sorry about no fireworks. It rained on David while he was lighting ours off tonight. Does that make you feel any better?
yes, a little! it's very rare for us to get rain in july.....

i bet he'd die if he read this!!! :lmao:
I'll just have to make sure he doesn't! :rotfl2:

I don't get why some people have to use that kind of language, all the time.
I think all of my gives said some bad words when they were little.

It was alot better than the disneyland version..............it's hard to see there..

Fireworks are illegal in our state as well
our state hasn't banned them, just different towns.

that' what we try to tell the kids......try it once and if you don't like it, you don't have to again.

Sorry about the foul-mouthed teenager! I always hate when that happens -- Connor is usually the one that very loudly says something like, "Why is that girl swearing like that???" He has no inhibitions. :rotfl:
Good for connor! I suffer from the " I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings" syndrome. So I usually don't say anything, but when I do......I'm not too nice.

I don't like fish.....;)
The fish liked you! Thought you tasted like chicken........

Did D Jay ever catch the hint?

I had a feeling that saying anything wouldn't help. She was one of about 50 kids from a school group, and there was no chaperone anywhere around.
I should of whipped FJ out and had him tell her to be quiet............

you'll have to wait and see if he took the hint.....

Fantasmic! sounds great. It's one of the things I wish we had gotten to when we were there. Just another reason to go back!

I love the family photos at DHS. They turned out great!!

All the times going to DW and I have only seen Fantasmic once. And that was back when I worked there. I am trying to talk DH into going when we are there in Sept without the kids. Mine are still little and I think they might be afraid, so I want to check it out before hand.

I too would have said something to that little chickidee. Next time make FJ do it!! That should shut her up:lmao:

It might be the teacher in me or my advancing years, but I find more and more I don't mind speaking up about certain things. :lmao:

i think it's near impossible to do everything in one trip.

I too would have said something to that little chickidee. Next time make FJ do it!! That should shut her up:lmao:
If a lady shaking a flat asian man in her face, while pretending it's talking, didn't shut her up..........Nothing would!

Evening Winkwrs !! Please note no pressure for an update, I figure 1 more this month is yor speed!!:lmao:
That's good! I'm leaving monday morning for "girls camp". I'll be in charge of 15 , 15 year olds for a week. And by camp, I don't mean cabins and a cook.........we have tents and we cook for ourselves. good times!

It might be the teacher in me or my advancing years, but I find more and more I don't mind speaking up about certain things. :lmao:

I need to take some lessons.
