**Winkers goes to England~It's so hard to say goodbye**

Sometimes you just have to stop and smell the roses on a trip, you're right! I cut back on pictures last time and did more photopass. Luv the sleeping kid pic! They look so angelic asleep!

Don't you love when a plan falls into place!! Make me feel smart:rotfl:

Yay for the swim!! We did not get in the pool at all and it was soooo hot! I am still not sure why we tortured ourselves this way.:confused3 Not next time!!

:rotfl2: At the sleeping pics and FJ! So glad everyone got some sleep. Hope you are all rested up for the next day. :thumbsup2

Ok, so I can now put in my 2 cents worth in because Cherie is so far ahead...:rotfl2:

I agreed that we should let the kids stay up for as long as they wanted. The problem was, anxiety was affecting me way too much. In order to keep from exposing the suprise, I tried to push the excitement out of my mind, and the trip too. After all that waiting and pent up anxiety, it all came out when we decided to not go the hotel route and leave early. Yep, my fault for leaving early. It felt good to be on the road.

I was glad to be on the plane, and Ethan was not the only one snoring. No, it wasn't me, but another parental unit on this trip.

When we boarded the plane, Evan was looking in the cockpit of the plane when a stuardess noticed him. I explained that he was interested in becoming a pilot. She then out of the blue asked if Evan would like to talk to the captain. REALLY COOL!!!!!

For the next 10 minutes or so, I was wondering if Evan was even going to come back to his seat. All of a sudden, the lights flashed, the air went off, and the plane went dark. My first thought was, "Evan, what did you do????" I thought the departure would be delayed because my son was causing havoc. I sure hope they didn't call security. Shortly after the "outage" Evan came back to his seat with the biggest cheese eating grin on his face. I accused him of pressing buttons, the wrong ones of course. He immediately went defensive and stated the hilarious fact that the pilot was the one to turn everything off. Evan said the pilot was showing him some things, pressed a button and said, "OOPS! I wasn't supposed to really do that." I sure hope he was joking!!!:lmao:

The flight was a successful flight. We landed and waited, rode a bus, and on that bus ride realized how much this trip was worth. No financial amount could replace the feeling I got when Ethan put his arms around me and said, "Your the best Dad in the world. I love you. Thank you for taking us to Disney World." At that point, the little kid could have asked for anything and I would have given it to him. :cloud9: Sometimes it goes to show that you that in the end, or in this case the beginning, it's all worth it.:cutie:

EVERYONE was tired after the swimming except one kid. Guess who? ETHAN! He slept the longest on the plane and was still wanting to do things. I believe that Ethan was the last one asleep that night. He must have watched the Disney Park Reviews at least 100 times before going to sleep. I guess he must have finally gotten bored. All in all, we had a great first day.:yay:

Sound like swimming was a good plan.... Here's hoping early morning wakie will turn out as well as early bedtime hehe

Hurray for sleeping children!
 Who doesn't love a sleeping child??

It definatley made things more relaxing to not stop for every photo op....of course if the kids went along with it, I still would have taken more pictures.

Congrats to you on following the kids lead and not trying to head into a park the first night. :worship:
At first I couldn't believe they would rather go swimming than go to a park! That would soon become a theme............

:rotfl: Yep! It's not often it works for me!

Thanks for the details on Evan's adventure! That must have been such a great way to start the trip for him! :thumbsup2

I can because it sounds just like my three!

I finally have some down time to catch up and post.

Ethan was sitting behind us.........he reached up put his arms around D.Jay's neck and said "I love you Daddy! Thanks for taking us to DisneyWorld!":goodvibes

D.Jay melted into a puddle! His eyes go misty as he said to me "that makes it all worth while!" So sweet!
THAT is why we do what we do.

Well, we did visit the pool but in fear of breaking the camera or the more likely event of dh posting a picture of me in my white, pastey, hippo stuffed into a swimsuit glory..............cameras were banned from the pool.

And to the poor man taking shots of his kids frolicking in the pool just as I was trying to heave myself up the ladder...............my deepest appologies.
This made me laugh out loud.
I'm adopting your rule for our family. (All for the sake of me of course)
NO cameras allowed at the pool.:thumbsup2

This is my very first post but I had to laugh when I read about your fabulous idea for the plane trip. 10 years ago my husband and I took our 7 kids, 2 DILs, 1 SIL and 2 grandbabies (14 bodies) :scared1: to Disney World. We thought that the perfect plan would be to take the red-eye flight out of Salt Lake so everyone could sleep on the way there and then we would have all day at the parks! The flight was packed, no one slept and we were walking zombies most of the day but WE WERE THERE!:thumbsup2

Thanks for the great report. I am hooked and I will get better at this posting thing, I promise.

Welcome bigdisgrandma! I am excited to see you here and thanks for telling me about this TR.

I can't wait to hear more about the trip Winkers!

I will never be photographed in a swimsuit! That's one reason I'm afraid of going to the disney water parks.........they have photopass people there!:scared1:
